THANK U! I WATCHED ANOTHER VID & YOU ADDED A SMALL DETAIL (DO THE 2 SEC HOLD B4 THE BOUNCE BACK) THAT HELPED CORRECT THE PROBLEM. I APPRECIATE U & THE TIME U SAVED ME GOING TO THE DEALERSHIP 😁😁
THANK YOU so very much. on my 2015 F150 I had my drivers window bounce back yesterday on the way home after a long exhausting 13 hour shift. It was highly annoying having it down and blowing hot air into my face (it was 90 degrees outside) with the ac cranked. I thought it had gotten jammed on my weathertech window vents. No matter what i did, it wouldnt close the last few inches. I was dreading taking it into the dealer since i had just spent $2200 on a new throttle body and its 100k servicing. This video did the trick and showed me that if it happens again I will be able to fix it on the fly.
Had this exact problem with my '22 F150. Took a couple of tries but finally got it fixed. It's like a recalibration, because my windows weren't going down 100% - they stuck up an inch or two when all the way down. Now they retract all the way down and close perfectly.
3rd time I have had to reset this in a year. This coupled with a few other issues seals the deal that this will be the last Ford product I will ever purchase. Should've kept my Tundra, zero problems. Thanks for the video.
@@tommybrogan8486 Yea, I figure most of that is to buy American. That was the reason I made the trade, oh well, lessons learned. On the schedule now to get the transmission hard shifts worked on.
@@nate5887 I agree, Buy American is a part of it. But people wouldn't intentionally keep spending big bucks on the F-150s (year, after year, after year......) if there wasn't a value return.
@@tommybrogan8486 Sadly the value return is buying American and touting 'best selling truck'. Best selling doesn't necessarily equal best truck. But hey man, to each there own, enjoy yours, I hope it works out good for you. Unfortunately, I will not be in another. I bought what is probably the lowest selling truck (Tundra) and didn't experience any issues, now I'm in the best selling truck and have had issues. Who knows, maybe I just got a bad one.
Nope you’re not alone. Same thing I’m dealing with. Went with ford because the Toyota at the time didn’t have the same technology (like Apple CarPlay cameras or the power plant in the bed) big mistake should have adjusted my priorities or waited for the new tundra. I have tons of little issues with said technology but also major problems like having 3 new rear axles in a months time. All this sucks and being a high trim package the truck cost a ton of money only silver lining is I have 0% interest from Ford. Wife has a 2018 RAV and not one single issue and before that a 17yr old Highlander that only had the AC pump go out (which happened in the 17th year btw). Hopefully I’ll do better next time when car shopping.
Hopefully you got yours fixed. My new 2023 f150- which I purchased a couple of months ago just started doing this. I'll try the advice found in this video. Mine is still under warranty, that said going back to the dealership will be a last resort for me.
This isn't random, why would your 22 need reprogramming? Removing the battery terminal erases the One Touch settings on most modern cars. Lucky you for figuring it out, saved yourself a non warranty repair.
Mine would retract about 3/4 open and couldn't be stopped or interrupted once it started down. I tried this method of holding up for a few seconds when it reached the top and it didn't retract as stated when I let go. I pushed it down and up again to test it and once again, it auto-retracted when it reached the top. On my second attempt, I held the button the entire way up and for a few seconds after it closed. Again, it didn't drop as stated when I let go but has been working fine ever since.
Interesting. My new 2023 that I’ve had for about a week just did this. Rolled the drivers window up and it rolled back down half way. Will try this fix.
Had that happen to me on my fiesta. I lived to deal with it for 11 years till I finally traded it in for a bronco sport. Wish this video came out sooner lol
Had new F series trucks every 6 months for the past 10yrs and the last 4 trucks have had this issue and the 3 week old F-150 XLT is no different so I’ll have to try this fix because it’s sure annoying. Thank you for the video
My local garage replaced the regulator on my driver side window and now it doesn't retract all the way into the door - it protrudes about half an inch. They told me this is the updated regulator and is by design. I now have to press the switch down three more times to make it retract into the door. Is this true? Is there any such fix as yours for this issue?
My 2022 passenger side window was doing this 2-3 times while using the auto roll up feature. I was considering making a service appointment but the problem seams to resolved itself.
I’ve been having this issues since I put my window deflectors on, when I due this it only works until truck is turned off , when restarting the truck you have to do it again. Everytime
This is extremely common with ANY vehicle with one touch. Because it hasn't happened to your kia or honda, doesn't mean it won't. Roll your windows down half way and disconnect your battery for extended period. What he's showing you is how to reprogram the One Touch. Being an automotive painter, this has made it's way on most shops Quality Control check lists before calling your customer.
Only thing that worked for me was to disconnect battery WHILE the window was rolling down. (Deinitialize the bounce back setting) Then these steps to reinitialize auto up.
why didnt it work as thats exactly what this video describes fixing. Mine stopped a couple inches from the top. I thought it sensed a jam from the weathertech window vent and bounced down as protection. no matter what I did it wouldnt close the last few inches. I did the steps in this video and as the window was raising when it got close to the new zero I held the button up. After that I could raise it the rest of the way closed. Once closed I held the button up again for 5 seconds and boom it worked perfectly.
It’s still working first try. 😂 F450, some wiring harness had sat close to the head, melted some wires.. Got that all fixed & then this window started this! I was like oh no, but this video did it. SOME MTHFR SAID HOLD IT UP, LET IT SIT FOR 2 DAYS!!!
Thanks man. Just had the 10k service done on my 22 Raptor and this started happening. I was about to flip out on someone. Hahaha. Update... still not working correctly.
Had this problem on my 2023 F150 and fixed it right away! Amazing video
Only video that explains how to do it normally.I had same issue on my 2023 f 150 and I fixed it.Thanks a lot!

Thanks for the help. My window did this today. Fixed it the first time 👍🇺🇸 2023 F-150

Man, sorry you had issues. The # of F-150 sales compared to the Tundra show you are in the minority.

Worked on my ford fiesta 2020 as well
Thank you! I've watched other videos but they did not work, so thank you for your knowledge!!
Started doing it like 30 mins ago. Found the video, fixed the problem! Thank you.
Worked on my 2021 Explorer ST, thank you!
Just had this issue on our '22 last night and stumbled onto this video on my subscriptions. Thanks!

Did this on a 2015 ford everest took me 5 times but it worked!!! Thank you
Thanks 🙏🏼 😊
Worked first time thank you
Worked the first time. 2021 king ranch f-150. Thanks for the video!
Fixed!! Thank you!
This also works for automatic up won't work. Thanks for your help. It was driving me nuts.

Thanks, my 2018 just started but has a new-ish battery. Hopefully this trick will work, at 101-degrees outside I DO NOT want it down.
Thank you, worked 2nd time 😊

This worked for my ford escape 2022. Thank you! I don’t know why my battery would be low though since it’s a phev…

Thanks! Fixed my 2014 transit connect with the same problem. Yes, battery died causing it
Thank you it worked!!
Thanks it worked on my 2017 Mustang
Never had that problem. Thanks.
Thanks!
great that you shared. Thank you !!!
It just happened to me in my 2020 Ford Explorer ST. I will try this and report back lol
My 2022 passenger side window was doing this 2-3 times while using the auto roll up feature. I was considering making a service appointment but the problem seams to resolved itself.
you need to sit in the passenger seat and use those buttons to fix the bounce back
It happens because of the 2 pull types, people ride the trigger and it relearns. Reset it and pull 1 fast time to auto roll or lite pull to set it.
Just happened with my week old 2023 F-250. It's fixed but maybe I did ride the trigger too long and screwed things up.
Thanks bro
I’ve been having this issues since I put my window deflectors on, when I due this it only works until truck is turned off , when restarting the truck you have to do it again. Everytime
Mine only seems to happen at highway speeds. I tried this fix but I’m not confident it will solve my issue as it’s slightly different.

Worked on 18 transit
Safety future
What if my ford window only goes down a touch and won’t go down all the way but goes up no problems
Thank you for the quick and easy fix while we were traveling in frigid temperatures.
Only thing that worked for me was to disconnect battery WHILE the window was rolling down. (Deinitialize the bounce back setting) Then these steps to reinitialize auto up.
My 2024 does it, and this did not correct the issue. Still trouble shooting. Good video nonetheless
FYI to fix the passenger side window bounce back you need to sit in the passenger seat and use those buttons to fix the bounce back
I fixed mine from the driver side.

my window is closed and wont go down at all. power button does nothing. passenger window works fine.
That didn't work for me as my window bounces down at the top

2020 xlt window goes half way up only is this a computer issue?
Just open your door and it will be fixed
I feel like you only explained half of your title. My window is down and won’t come back up.
Same problem.with mine window regulator is fucked gonna have to swap the part
8000 miles 2023 F150
Stereo cuts in and out, or doesn’t connect to phone; already replaced a blinker, back window is stuck open. POS
Ford has become trash. My windows go down immediately when I try to roll them up.
Should have bought a Chevy
Window is cheaper than a Chevy motor
Thank you.
