      Don't disagree about the wasted space, although no way to have the sliding doors open here, unless you're a big fan of mosquitoes in your house. I would screen in the porch, and have a gas or electric fireplace. As far as what qualifies as a tiny home, it's pretty much semantics. I live in 1600 SF, so 399 is quite tiny. The fact that it is towable is of no consequence.

  • @markfrank0924
    @markfrank0924 5 лет назад +9

    This is one of the most beautiful designs I have seen, and yes, while many of these tiny homes are becoming, we also need to remember that homes of all kinds are getting more expensive. In a home like this one, it would see it is really more like the traditional trailer rather than a tiny home. Like some of the other comments I might eliminate the front deck to allow for the size to be a bit smaller but like we know, that is why there is vanilla, chocolate, strawberry and a host of other flavors because we are all different and therefore our needs are different. There is nothing to really complain about this home they thought of most everything.

      Kc B not necessarily true. As a homebuilder of 27 years I couldn’t build that same product for $90,000. The value also doesn’t always decrease depending on where you’re at. We live in central California and the value of these can easily increase depending on where it’s located.
      Put it the beach and your triple it’s value.

      No, sorry. This is a trailer, it does not increase in value. If you move it near the beach, per your example, the land would have higher value just because of the land. This “house” is only a glorified trailer.

    This has so much potential. The best part is the outdoor fireplace and barn doors in the bedroom ... The side porch could be used for more interior space which would allow for a better entry layout and washer dryer area. I would like to see a grand room area that includes kitchen and living room that faces the fire place outside... Might have to move the front door to the fire place porch area... maybe knock out some lower windows and add more top windows on one side. I would extend a wall from the house to the outdoor fireplace... Very interested in what could be made from something like this.

    Not bad but from an architect point of view the cabinets sitting on the counter both in the kitchen and bathroom is a terrible use of space. Should've mounted the microwave under an upper cabinet with no lower unit sitting on the counter.
    Same in the bathroom. It should've been mounted on the wall to free up the counter. Lastly, the door in the bedroom is bad design, period.
    However the outside fireplace is genius (possibly a fire hazard though). As a majority of people will want to screen it in from insects. Which if you haven't noticed are in abundance in this world. Lol. Too bad the sticker price is astronomical and not worth half that.
    Additionally, it would not cost 4k for granite in that kitchen. But I wouldn't have done either and instead added the option for butcherblock. Just my 2 cents.

    • @KatjeKat86
      @KatjeKat86 5 лет назад +3

      In many states it's required by law to have two doors to the outside, I suspect that is why there is a door in the bedroom.

    • @wiseowl1580
      @wiseowl1580 5 лет назад +11

      @@KatjeKat86 Well said but I think the kitchen should accommodate that extra door (more light as well). How creepy/unconventional that is currently in the bedroom.
      Better yet...they should have divided the refrigerator from the laundry unit with that extra door. The heat alone generated will make the fridge work overtime. Just saying.
      At the end of the day manufacturers are capitalizing on the fact that people want to live smaller. I live in a 150k house that's estimated at 188k but is massive! They want nearly 100k for this...feels like a pure RIP off.
      Hope people realize this is a complete ripoff
