Wow thats a super powerful 4 chanel for about 100 bux thats a dam clean amount of power for ur mids and highs set of 6 by 9 and set of 6.5 will def sound good and clear.
Been rolling for 2 years on this amp with a 10 inch pioneer woofer and 4 extra mid speakers in all 4 doors, It has had no issues, I don't have the Gain more than 1/2, I Don't play real loud. I highly reccomend this Amp
That is a quailty built amp those traces on the board looked thick and nice ot dont take alot of mosfets if it uses less of them but really high power fets definitely a sleeper amp for mids and highs.

Absolutely- just make sure you wire correctly when running two subs on a 4ch If they are single voice coil 4 ohm Run each sub bridged on two channels for max output of bass If you want to run the two other channels for the door speakers then you need to wire each sub on each remaining channel All depends Impedance of woofer

I do listen to some bass heavy music like dubstep, edm and such like. No room for a sub. The rear speakers are rated for 22hz bottom end so I think it should sound stellar
I bought this amp cause it matches my touchscreen. I'm runni a all 4 channels at 2 ohms it great. I'm running a deafbonce 6.5 sylvester with the apocolypse t25 super tweeter with bass blockers on each door. Each speaker is 4 ohms so driving all channels at 2. Amos been great gets super loud don't shutdown and is clear. Not sure if I'm gonna keep it or try something more high end cause it sounds so good and loud.
I'm about to try and bridge the front/A outputs on this amp for the front driver side component set I have in hopes to get the power from 2 channels. I will do the same for front passenger side on the back/B outputs. Does that make sense? Do I need the rca adapter Y splitter cord for that or does this amp recognize/have a switch to get input from channel A to output for B?

How should I'll configure the amp settings and along side my deck settings. I smell the amp sometimes but nothing blown or protect mode. It is a a/b amp so is it just getting to hot because I'm using it like a mono block bridging it?

It’s close to 4ohms so not to terrible These amps are pretty tough and mid bass scenarios - the impedance seems to be pretty high in my experience Meaning like mids and highs - you never see more than a few watts on a 50x4 amp It’s hard to explain but high frequency’s don’t need a ton of power Just don’t have that mid bass playing 30hz and you should be totally fine 😅

Andy did you test this with all channels driven & loaded out just one (or 2 - bridged)? If all channels are not loaded then your not stressing the power supply portion like it would be in the real world.
My newer videos I do that! I’ve tested that off camera and you would be surprised how close the results are ! Amps usually have a bigger power supply section than necessary! The only thing that does happen and is rare .. the fuses may blow from over current- but when used properly you never see their max output due to impedance rise ! But good point none the less!
Probably a naive question because I'm still learning about this stuff, but I noticed the voltage running at 20.1v, 26.6v, 34.8v, 43.6v, etc. Is that the power the amp is drawing?
I have 3 of them running 8 6.5 kicker , 2 6x9 kicker , 2 5.5 kicker , 2 TW67 Pyramid Super tweeters, 2 pyle 3.5 tweeters .. @@LivinLoudwithAndy I had a power acoustik Gothic 300.2 made a buzzing noise when the volume was all the way down I checked the RC's everything was fine so I bought a cheap old boss riot 600.2 and that's what I have still in there now but no buzzing sound and then I bought a taramps ts 400.4 made a busing sound and I'm using fureals an heat shrinks true ofc 8 gauge it's low wattage AB amps don't need anything crazy and I have sky High 10 gauge for speaker wire an stinger marine grade RCA's I was going to go with the skar amp 5 channel then I started looking into the kicker and pioneer they always do over rated so I think that's what I'm going to do today is by the pioneer and then sell the other amps I have and yes at the price definitely worth it an way better than what I have
I have the Pioneer GM-A6704 4-Channel Amplifier. I will will be using it as 3 channel in my workvan, My 2 front speakers and a subwoofer. My radio is Jensen CAR710W. This radio has 3 Pairs of 4V preamp outputs (F/R/S). Where should I connect the rca for my sub? Should I use the rear channel or the ones labeled subwoofer. Also, the radio is kind of unusual how they label the subwoofer preamp outputs. They are labeled as subwoofer 1 and subwoofer 2. I am used to seeing (L/R). Please advise. Thanks much...
Mine I got yesterday but I have the same wires from previous amp and it got hot but nothing that would make me think it’s gonna shut off or blow and it wasn’t hot to the touch but with this amp it’s hot to the touch and will shut off any help I’m newer to amps but I got my wires professionally installed. I have this amp I bridged a 12 inch pioneer sub on one channel. it went in to protect mode then I changed the speaker wiring. Did not hit as hard then my sub took a shit idk if it was something I did or just the old sub. I don't know much about it just want to be bumping again
Sending it full tilt at its lowest rated impedance uncertified past clipping - sure .. gain level itself doesn’t mean much when you’re testing past clipping
The gain knob is basically just a volume control (that is supposed to be used to match the input gain of the amp to the max level of the component before it- maybe a crossover or DSP or just a head unit). The actual amp power will be a function the signal source - so if the source can't go past .2 volts then running the gain all the way up is perfectly fine; however if the source can do 6 volts then that .2 volt gain setting (likely full tilt) will cause the amp to go into clipping quickly; not to mention them actual output voltage is not constant but rather totally depends on how loud the program material is... So if you turn the head unit down it might be capable of 4 or 5 volts but at the time will actually be only putting out .2 to .4 until the recording gets louder or you turn it up.

I have a 2016 Jeep Patriot so I’ve been trying to decide if I wanted to go with a 10” kicker comp from Walmart or a 12” pioneer TS. I was leaning more towards the 12” because I don’t know if the 10” will make enough thump for my car. But the 10” would be the cheaper route but I’m also on a very tight budget. What would you recommend?

Going for ear piercing sound clarity, just running a little Rockford Fosgate 10” sub with an internal 300w amp in the back. Wired as basic as possible.. tweeter and woofer each wired straight to their spot on crossover, each crossover wired strait to channel A and in the corresponding left or right outputs. Is this 4ohm? I understand ohms when wiring subs but how does the crossover effect the line? Can I just unplug the wires going from amp output to crossover input; at the amp, then touch my multimeter to the wires to find out my final impedance? That would help a lot then I could calculate my target voltage but I think this amp is gunna be lacking so next I will be trying to bridge channel A for my Left side only and bridge channel B for my right side only (both up front 1component, 1crossover, and 1 tweeter per side)

Thanks man and it sure is ! Yes I do want to invest in an rca bass knob for darn sure ! I just quit setting the gains with the headunit at the clipping point since I wasn’t getting great uncertified ratings - that and that headunit has an all pass filter past vol 27 which is unfortunate

Could be a few reasons why it’s going into protect
Could be low voltage issues
Or you are wired very low
Could be both

I have one bridged at 2 ohms running subs it has big issues with heat but it's great if you mount fans to it.

Throw them on two channels bridged ! Make sure you have D4’s and wire up to 8 before doing so

I was leaning more towards the 12” because I don’t know if the 10” will make enough thump for my car. But the 10” would be the cheaper route but I’m also on a very tight budget. What would you recommend?
@@LivinLoudwithAndy Hey Andy, if it's possible can you do a review on the Pioneer Class D mono 1 channel 1600w amp? I have one in my car for my 1400w 12inch sub just not wired yet being I havent purchased a ported box for it yet. A purchased from Wallies World (Walmart) upstate lol

I’ve got one of these coming, im running 4 6.5” Rockford Fosgate PPS4-6 400w Punch Pros 100w RMS mid range and 4 Rockford Fosgate P1T-S 120W 1" 4-Ohm High-Pass Punch Tweeters 60 RMS. Going for ear piercing sound clarity, just running a little Rockford Fosgate 10” sub with an internal 300w amp in the back. I’m a big time Pink Floyd fan, I’m wanting to have insane sound clarity for those David Gilmour guitar solos. Think that’s a good setup?

I've got two Kicker Comp 12s (not C or R just regular), do you think this amp could do the job? Had a Crunch 2100W before and they were super loud and I loved it, I'd hate to downgrade and underpower them
Crunch is really trash 🗑 actually your better off with one of these but my best bet would be to go with Skar aduio
I’m new too subs and amps I’m doing my first subs how can I get the most out of 2 kicker comp 12s in a ported box 150rms (300rms) and have this exact amp. There a certain way too wire it ? Or should I bridge it ?

Well I can find that out for ya - that should get you close but something that reads distortion can work a tad better for each set up but give me a few days and I’ll get back to you

@@LivinLoudwithAndy I currently have skar spx65c with crossovers. Wired as basic as possible.. tweeter and woofer each wired straight to their spot on crossover, each crossover wired strait to channel A and in the corresponding left or right outputs.
Is this 4ohm?
I understand ohms when wiring subs but how does the crossover effect the line?
Can I just unplug the wires going from amp output to crossover input; at the amp, then touch my multimeter to the wires to find out my final impedance?
That would help a lot then I could calculate my target voltage but I think this amp is gunna be lacking so next I will be trying to bridge channel A for my Left side only and bridge channel B for my right side only (both up front 1component, 1crossover, and 1 tweeter per side)
What computer program are you using to test with?

Nice test. That is a good budget amp. Instead of adjusting the gain everytime you dyno, you could just use a rca bass knob and adjust it.
Thanks man and it sure is ! Yes I do want to invest in an rca bass knob for darn sure ! I just quit setting the gains with the headunit at the clipping point since I wasn’t getting great uncertified ratings - that and that headunit has an all pass filter past vol 27 which is unfortunate
@@LivinLoudwithAndy, you should get one of those Kicker Marine units and try it out as your source unit. I bet they will work great.
I’ve always wanted one tbh! Throw it in my car just to say the fact I have a Kicker headunit 😏 it would need some custom fab but it’s do able!

I bud. I got this amp yesterday its hooked up from high level input from my factory chrysler stereo and got a speaker box with old school pyle driver 12s. I got it hooked up normal to left and right to one channel. Should I bridge it????

these readings don't really mean anything, yeah sure you're getting high Numbers but only for a second. need to test the longevity of it
