In this heartwarming drama, Dina (played by Loretta Young) and Chris (played by Robert Richards) are a couple who have been married for over ten years and have little left to talk about.
When a new family moves in next door, Dina is struck by their happiness. A few months later, however, the wife is killed by a hit-and-run-driver. Dina and Chris try to comfort the husband by inviting him to dinner. This gives them both an awakening that they have been neglecting in their marriage, their children and their home.
Little has been recorded about Robert Richards' career, except that he also appeared on Alfred Hitchcock Presents (1955), The Louisiana Hussy (1959) and Flight (1958).
Preston Hanson, playing Hal, appeared in over 30 TV series and movies over 40 years, including Dynasty, Gunsmoke, Dallas, Goodbye, Norma Jean, Action Jackson and The A-Team among others. His last credit was in the 1994 comedy Cops and Robbers. He died on February 12, 2008 at age 87 in Van Nuys, California.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Ruthe Brady (Laura) was discovered when she accompanied a candidate to Atlantic City for a bathing beauty pageant. She signed for a singing and dancing part in the floor show of the Copacabana Club in New York City then later appeared on Broadway in such shows as "The Boys from Syracuse" and "By Jupiter". An MGM motion picture contract soon followed.
She passed away on June 3, 1997, in Los Angeles. She was 77.

How could any man take this angel woman for granted and be so indifferent to her? Why keep indoctrinating us with the nonsense that after any number of years husbands and wives only peck kiss each other! Soooo sad!
They didn't close the front door when the husband let the neighbor come in. It's insignificant, I know, but details like that never escape my attention. I wish I didn't notice stuff like that. I'm hopeless.
