Original airdate: 5/9/54
Loretta Young plays duel roles in this romantic comedy that exposes the extremes to which two personal secretaries, Nora & Lorraine Patrick, will go to change their appearances in order to please a demanding boss.
In order to land a secretarial job, the attractive, sophisticated sister must acquire the look of a drab, dull but efficient office worker in order to succeed. This sisterly deception leads to complications when the boss (played by George Nader) calls at one of the sister’s home unexpectedly.
The part of Bill Homes, the head of employment at the toy company at which they work, is played by Don Beddoe. After a decade of stage work and bit parts in films, the popular character actor began getting more prominent film roles in the late 1930s. He was usually cast as fast-talking reporters and the like in more than 250 films.
In 1984, he made his final television appearance as Kris in NBC's Highway to Heaven starring Michael Landon. Beddoe died of natural causes on January 19, 1991, at age 87.
Look in this episode for a cameo appearance by Miss Young's real-life sister, Sally Blane. She plays Marge, in a telephone conversation with character Loraine Patrick.
Like her younger sister, Loretta, Blane made her movie debut in the silent film Sirens of the Sea in 1917 when she was seven. In the twenties and thirties she went on to act in over 100 films, most of them as a leading lady. She married actor and director Norman Foster in October 1935.
Blane died in Palm Springs, California, on August 27, 1997, of cancer at the age of 87 (as did her sisters Polly Ann Young, also an actress, who died seven months prior) and Loretta. Blane and her two sisters are interred in Culver City's Holy Cross Cemetery.

Loretta in glasses is always a treat! Great comic tale...so fun!
Cute story. Thank you for these episodes!
What a cute episode!
Loved when both are hungover the next day,
and she sneeks that
last bit of his fizzing
medicine drink while
he's turned around...
🤭 😁
Delightful. Thanks for the video.
Very funny episode, those glasses are hilarious.
Hysterical when she drank his seltzer water.
Her sister played by Sally Blane, Loretta Young's real life sister.
Mmmmmmmmmmm George Nader
In every episode cigarettes appear.
This was delightful, but it would've been even better as a movie. It wouldn't have had to move so fast, allowing time for other close calls.
Yup that was the "good old days" when women weren't supposed to work after getting married. Ridiculous.
Oh calm down
Silly, unrealistic story!
