First they were Peter and Paul, then they were Click and Clack. Loretta says they were Flip and Flap "last week". Now they're being introduced as Dirk and Dack.

The name of the magazine "BELZERS" is the same name of Loretta's step father and her half sister, Georgiana Belzer who married Ricardo Montalban.

Thank you for posting! I have never seen “The New Loretta Young Show”. The production values are very similar to its antecedent on NBC. The quality is pristine. And Ms. Young was undoubtedly one of the most beautiful women who ever lived. Her gowns are even more staggeringly elegant than on the earlier show. Questions: how long did “The New Loretta Young Show” run? Did all of them feature her as Christine Massey? In the NBC Show, Ms. Young played a wide variety of characters. Again, thank you for making this series available.

"The New Loretta Young Show" aired for only one season, the first episode on September 24, 1962 and her final episode of that season on March 18, 1963.

Yes, Loretta appeared in every episode as "Christine". And this was James Philbrook's first appearance as "Paul Belzer".
Most of the production crew from her NBC series worked with her again on this one.

I don't know of anyone who didn't love Loretta Young! Would be awesome if these were in technicolor for our younger generation to watch; not sure they would go for black & white movies.

I don't know if I represent younger generations but I guess so. And I have to say I just love it in black&white the sentiment for the past glamor is for me absolutely there. Plus I have to say I love her in the few technicolor that she made but I love her more in black and white. Just stunning and beautiful and great actress with values that I also have.

Incidentally, "Belzer" was her mother Gladys' maiden name.

Why did Loretta call Peter and Paul by their real names, Dack and Dirk?

I think that was a slip-up on her part. She just plain forgot. ;)

If you watch the earlier episodes, it seems that they were constantly changing their first names to what they considered cool names to have as a part of their band act.
