I just went from NYC to Lake Erie for the eclipse to south Jersey to drop my daughter then back to Brooklyn using FSD. Haven’t slept since Friday night. It’s now Tuesday afternoon. There is no way I make that trip without FSD. Because of FSD me and my 8 year old daughter got to see the total eclipse.
I live an hour away from my married daughter. I was considering moving closer, but I wasn't looking forward to moving. FSD and BEV gas savings means I can visit frequently but not have to move. FSD is going to affect a lot of lives more than we can imagine.
Impressive time waste.

@@thomasaquinas157 I do find myself looking for reasons to drive as a New Yorker I’ve hated driving since I got my license. Since I got my Model Y I find any excuse to drive. I’ve never enjoyed driving a gas car. After a couple of years of only driving my Y a friend asked me to take her somewhere in her gas car. After 2 hours of driving an ICE car my body felt like I was in a fight. I wanted to curse her out, but I was a bit rude I said “don’t ever ask me to drive your shitty gas car again”.

V12.3.3 drove me all the way home today. City streets, grocery, highway. I disengaged once to end route for a different road than I put into the navigation and once to avoid some residential construction where I thought nails could be in the road. I wanted to watch for them.
Autonomy seems to be 98% solved. It just needs backing up ability and to be time tested.

Opinion: They settled to avoid additional questions, that would slow down execution of the FSD roadmap, and decided to settle to maintain speed.

The autopilot lawsuit isn't settled yet, the plaintiff is also suing over the barrier that was hit, which they claim if was fixed would have saved the person, and the Judge has not approved any settlement, stay tuned for more litigation.
Do you think FSD take rates will increase because more people will think the product is worth it for their own use? Or do you think people will start ordering FSD as an investment, hoping they can make their own tesla a robotaxi?
In my mind the second alternative makes much more financial sense. But if you use monthly subscription there is no rush, they could just wait until FSD is fully functional.

Tesla will hit $120’s range before seeing $200 again. It may even take years. Yeah they’ll unveil robo taxi and possibly a new model but it takes 5 years for them to do anything just look at the Cybertruck for example.

Just my uninformed opinion. Teslas texas factory has been awfully quiet. Model3 and y have not really spooled up and theres been no push or sign for a spool up. So what gives? This factory was referenced as teslas "crown jewel" yet its not doing anything special? I know batteries are one issue. But my opinion is they are quietly setting up modelq, and cyber van lines. And after the unveil it'll be: "yea shipping next 3 months" or something crazy like that. Just my guess.
Do you guys really believe 50 million people are going to give up their car just because of autonomy that got to stop.

FSD was a poor choice of marketing names. Big Eye Assist. or Major Drive Assist would already be a finished product and still leave room for growth into Licensed Driver Assist. FSD is fantasy. It obviously cannot hear a siren can it? Can it hear a honking horn? Can it drive on a flat tire? What happens when a bird lands poop; or a bug smashes into a camera lens? Tesla's Failure to take mechanical advantage of deploying telescoping cameras beyond the front bumper is a glaring error. It is as though really smart but inexperienced juveniles are designing this driving system.
There are no new factories for Tesla cars for the next 2 years, just noise I.e. B.S.

Good luck convincing everyone to spend $12,000 on a feature they can do themselves for free. It’s fine on long freeway drives, but all the other manufacturers are starting to offer that feature for no extra cost
