GM would be smart to turn their large vans into hybrid electric. With regenerative braking and electric drive with a small battery, enough to go thirty five miles on electric only. This is the average commute distance of suburban residents.
A hybrid version of GMs Vans would get an average of 50 mpg so very good.
Mary Barra does not seem to have imagination or vision. Just a bean counter mindset.

I'm a huge Tesla bowl. But this van appears to be missing the mark on the communities once. People want van life. People want a mobile apartment. A van that they can turn into an rv. They need to put out a van that people can stand up in. They are like the Mercedes vans.
It won't be long before most major car manufacturers in the market, especially Tesla, will bring a car that meets your wishes, because that is also the common need of all customers, a more versatile truck. .

Chevy dealers would not order them for the last two years. I wanted one and ended up buying a Mercedes just to get close to what I wanted. Tesla : Hurry up and wait.

I'm not engineerbut there is something very simple right in front of all of us and I don't understand why this can't be done to any electric car, let me explain something why can they not make a alternator that will charge the electric battery as they are driving, let me explain why I asked that question I had an old tractor it did not have enough hydraulic pressure, dingdong so I just four a electric hydraulic pump with its own reservoir, on. And put a total independent alternator and totally independent battery in to charge the battery, and as the shaft to the tractor was spinning it was charging the secondary battery. You mean to tell me with all these engineers and all this electronics AI and all of this why can they not make a electric car or truck or even a semi truck charge it sell as they are going down the road. If I can do this with the tractor why can they not do it with a electric vehicle. Is this just a scam to get more L of the consumer, it just don't make no sense to me and like I say I'm no engineer. And this system that I put in my tractor it works like 1 million bucks, can anyone answer this question for me.? I'm pretty sure they can do it they just don't want to do it because it would make the person who buys the car not have to use electricity no more the car would generate its own electricity. And if it needed a boost why can they not put little solar panels built right into the outside design of the car, like I just recently seen a three wheel card to.? Please explain this to anyone that has got engineer degrees and know all about electronics and relays and all the other electronics that go into AI I just don't understand why. Yes. Not free. Cheaper than a gas vehicle. When gas was $5/gallon, it was incredibly cheaper. At lower price, it’s cheaper, but not as exciting. Hence, “some people” want to jack up gas prices.
Go solar and it gets close to free. Strange NONE of this speed has been even speculated on?
A typical house has about 8kw available and at night time it doesn’t do anything so you need a battery backup to make up for the rest of the day. Add a ev into your life you will have a total of 60 to 90 KW of battery so you will need to get the power from the grid to charge your EV. So solar panels would require 8 to 10 days to charge a EV. If your house needs 1.5 KW per Day you will sell your excess 6.5 kw at 4 cents a KW which is 26 cents a day times 30 you get back 7dollar and 80 cents for 12 months you get back 93 dollars and 60 cents for 20 years you get back 1 thousand 8 hundred and 72 dollars with a investment of 25 k. So doing Solar panels will make you feel good but it still cost you 23,128 dollars not a great investment
Cyber truck is indeed being bulet proof, but also acrilic and plexiglas are to, and collors you can add to these and mix to get an efect of aestetics is insane. If its buletproof its good enough to me, and its lighetr, no corosion, and, you can than add some sollar light panels wheres no glass, especialy on the lorry trucks etc. While solar panels didnt give much to an indevidual, its kind of democratic thing, you voite single small paper is nothing, but all together taken it makes diference for the country. i voite for that. Othervise, you can make alloys of these materials as you like, adn truckj trailers can be solely coverd by these solar panels, why keeping them in garage, all cars and vehicles can go this way, and, ship industry, like big over ocean ones, they realy polute one thirth of all emisions, and they can be coverdup grately and maybe even use some of these aloys, it would foute much easyer on the water im sure than the metal, heh. You could have flouting cars and lorries just like that, heh, amfibia indeed.

I wish Elon would make the new CFO at Tesla undo the terrible choice of the former CFO. That is the make the Refreshed S & X production lines to be retooled so they can make Right Hand Drive EV's of the S & X. As at this time due to the money mad old CFO, Tesla did not retool the S & X refresh factory lines to do right hand drive but do only Left Hand Drive EV's.
And this was a bad move as over 55% of the worlds EV buyer of the top priced S & X can't buy the refreshed version in right hand drive only left hand drive.
This means Tesla will lose millions of Dollars of possible high priced Tesla EV's because there is no Right hand drive versions.
Here in the UK and most of Asia and Japan and lots of other countries they can't order the most expensive Model S or X refresh EV's due to them not being the correct driver placement.
Although it is possible to drive a left hand drive car or EV in our right hand diving countries, it is not safe to do so, since all your left hand view of junctions is not seen when driving the left hand side cars.
So right hand is the safest set up so you can see both sides of junctions! Plus it is not as though Tesla has not the money to retool those two lines for right hand drive EV's.
The Model 3 & Y has right hand drive and the older S & X EV line also did right hand drive. So I wish Elon will see the huge loss of money by Not doing the refresh S & X as right hand drive.
Many customers whom pre-ordered the right hand drive refresh S or X EV's had their pre order money thrown back to them. Those rich customers often were so upset they went and brought non Tesla EV's afterwards because of the way they were treated? So Elon better change the refreshed S & X lines to do the Right Hand Drive or he be losing millions in lost rich customer orders.
