I have this poncho, I actually got it cause it’s very warm & keep it in my Chevy Silverado when I go up the lake near me in Georgia ( I like to have Breakfast 🍳 coffee ☕️ ) in the mornings sometimes, & it’s chilly, even in Summer . So, this Poncho is better than a blanket. Very happy with it 🥃🔥

I've got the brown one and it's really high quality but man was it as stiff as one of your targets when I first got it! Looks like yours loosened up and is wearing nicely, keeps you warm on a night! Great video thanks TUCO!
It's hard to decide between brown and olive green. The color on Eastwood's was unique
@@TUCOtheratt I don't know if it was the color grading in post production or the poncho actually looked considerably darker in For A Few Dollars More but that's why I decided on the brown because that's my favorite Western.
@@ryanmay1298 The story I heard was that Eastwood never washed the poncho and there was only one unlike most films that have duplicates.

Man, you know how to wear a poncho. Clint Eastwood said in an interview that the poncho was green. Depending on the lighting and sunlight in the scenes, reflecting off the fabric, it looks as you say between green and brown/light brown.

The attention to detail is pretty amazing, not to mention the fact that you seem to be on a whole different level when it comes to your shooting. As far as the poncho, thank you for mentioning that Clint didn't wash his movie poncho. I just kept thinking that he wore a heavy wool poncho in the hot sun! Great for the winter but that has to be brutal in the summer. Anyway, great video!

I had a cheap knockoff poncho when I was a 12 yr old. Always loved that poncho. Man I wish I wasn't broke, or I'd jump on that deal. Even so, if they stay in stock till I get the $$ I'll pay regular price.

This is an area I really like. Very cool video. A few years ago I put some silver rattle snakes on a Pietta 1851 Colt. Thinking about doing a 5.5" SAA Uberti I have and getting the holster rig too.
I can only imagine what Tuco could do with a real budget. Would be cinematic history
I live in Carmel CA and see Eastwood from time to time. The best was when he was the Grand Marshall at the Centennial Parade in 2016. He was atop a Wells Fargo stage coach wearing the hat from Unforgiven, the shirt from High Plains Drifter, the Andy Anderson rig and the poncho from the Dollar Trilogy, complete with bullet holes. As a life long Eastwood fan, it was pretty surreal.

Old west trading post took my order for a holster but couldn’t perform on for seven months. No return emails no return phone calls. Eventually I had to go through my credit card company to get my money back.
Maybe they have stuff in stock and maybe they actually send it out. But some stuff they don’t have in stock and some stuff they don’t send out.

I bought one in brown years ago in a Swiss shop, but unfortunately I'm not as tall as Clint Eastwood. The idea of shortening the length hadn't occurred to me. I've never used it because it's too long for me, but I'm going to shorten it. Thanks for the inspiration and best wishes from Liechtenstein!

Thanks Tuco, you warned about this in the video, but I'll think of a solution to this problem. From the pattern I can see that you shortened it in the middle and then probably sewed it together. Maybe I'll just cut it off at the bottom and reattach the fringes..🤔
@@Gibsonlp26 Once you cut into it, anywhere, it wants to unravel quickly because it's made on a loom or something not sewn like traditional clothing material. I'd take it to a expert first.

Old trading post seems like an awesome store, but I wouldn’t recommend ordering anything custom from them.
I had ordered a holster last year from them (similar to what Doc Holiday used), and waited almost 6 months and nothing. Spoke with the owner, who seemed like a nice guy, but was told the guy that was cutting leather was still working on it. That high quality work takes time. I told him, it’s fine, I understand. Almost 2 months past and nothing.
Had to request a refund from my bank.

hey tuco, just a question, how come it is bad to fan a stock revolver? i have a uberti hombre in .357 magnum, i replaced the mainspring and the bolt spring with wolff springs and thats all that has been done to the gun. why will fanning break it? thank you!
If you fan it very gently, about as fast as fast thumb cocking it should be ok but if you try to fan it as fast as I do it will start to skip and tear up the locking notches and start not indexing. More info on my rumble channel thanks
