To me, this song always makes me think about how great of an impact one person can have on your life, no matter how short their presence may be. He lived every moment of his life upholding his sense of justice and believing in those he cared about. His death, at that point in the story, felt like whiplash and felt like it had no meaning, rhyme or reason, but that’s ok. The indifference of the universe doesn’t give you time to prepare for the inevitable, it doesn’t even give the grieving time to mourn. That’s why it’s so important we live every day of our lives refusing to compromise our own sense of justice and make every effort to fight for what we believe in, so that when our time comes, we can live on through the people we made an impact on.

Getting to hear this in game for the first time is amazing. I'm so glad these games finally got localized, I'm only on case 2 of the first one and its easily one of my favorite Ace Attorney games already
this song is fucking BANGIN holy fuck kazuma senpai notice me please
Just realised this is in the same key as despacito so if you sing despacito with it then it fits and now I wanna cry

Man I love this track. After all the sad shit in the second episode at the end after Kamura died, hearing this track was like a breath of fresh air. No more sad times, be a lawyer.
Kamura?
Kazuma didn't die. He survived but went under a new identity

It's nice being able to listen to the song proper after having heard it running at, at most, 30 FPS on Citra Canary
i love him so much
I cant wait to hear this song twice but in English this time
0:00 - 30:00 is the best part.
This gives me chill every time I listen to this song
So these past few months have been god awful for me (for reasons I'm not really explaining because I'll cry) and like I think some of it just caused me to break. I was trying to calm myself down some by listening to music I like, but it wasn't really working entirely because I was still thinking about it
This song then came on
Idk what it is with this one, but this song was able to calm me down almost immediately. I stopped crying and I was thinking more positively about some things. It might be because Kazuma himself is such an amazing character to me and he means just so much to me in general, but like other than that... The fact that it calmed me so quickly is so amazing to me...
UPDATE: So here lately whenever I'm going through something really stressful (like me having to make a speech in a class or having to call a professor of mine) I literally think of Kazuma and he calms me down some. Idk how this happens, but I'm guessing he's literally my emotional support? I literally have cats and best friends who help me, but I guess my brains choice of mental help is a fictional lawyer samurai dude. Wow
ive been there and for some reason it was the smash version of destroyed skyworld for me cos the sadness of it helped idk why and uprising is my fav game ever with comfy characters
Someone needs to Map this on Osu so I can play
+Kiru シニガミ haha, YES!

I got Ace Attorney Chronicles for my birthday (I haven't finished it yet!! So please no spoilers ;w;) but when I first heard this theme in the first case, I was like "Damn, this is so good, I love it" and I still do.
But with different emotions. I simped for him the second I saw him, and Capcom really did Kazuma dirty with that second case. Like come on, an accident?? You can't play with my feelings like this, Capcom-
GOD same
which case are you on??
@@BalancedIdiot I just started the last case of the first game last night. Sholmes was very relatable when he kept saying it was a good morning to die 😂😂
@@KatRich824 thats a really good case!! the second game is REALLY good

Am I the only one that hears a much slower rendition of the main melody of The Great Truth Burglar throughout this? It's especially noticeable at 0:20.
Their melodies couldn't be any more similar. Although I must say that The Great Truth Burglar sounded like a blur to me. I don't know what to make of its confusing, chaotic melody.
holy shit,you're right.
Turns out Kay is a descendant of Asougi too.
@@theivoryguy2476 Oh, man. Kazuma is a literal Kevin Faraday.

@@xacmashe3852 *Clout* noun: Influence or power, especially in politics or business.
All I did was try to make a joke. It doesn't have anything to do with gaining influence or power. I'm sorry that it came off the wrong way.

Oh, Simon Blackquill, I didn't know you were in this game as well.

And he deleted it. Well, uh…. Ok.
I knew something bad was going to happen chapter 2, it just always does
This is by far the most unconditionally heroic sounding defense attorney theme in the series, it completely nails the emotions it's trying to convey, making it impossible to see Kazuma as anything other than a hero.
Also just an idea but if there was ever an Great Ace Attorney 3 how sick would it be if this was Ryunosuke's theme?

His prosecutor theme helps convey that he's not as heroic as once thought
@@DD-rn4gi Exactly, that's why I love his themes, it tells his story all on their own

@@frozenhyena279 This is more accurate. Since Kazuma didn't actually die but had a new identity.
Yes. He indeed had a mission 💀
Seeing what the official translation calls the songs makes it so hard for me to find songs since everyone is using the fan translated song names. Not saying which name is better, but as someone who chose to stay away from SS because I wanted to have an official copy that I waited years and avoided all spoilers my first encounter with the song names was the official translation. So I can only see this as Samurai of Destiny and not Samurai with a Mission.
However, not even Capcom is sure what to call this track x) The offical OST album has it as "Kazuma Asogi - Samurai on a Mission".

Spoilers
Just out of curiosity after finishing watching a guide on DGS, I went to Asougi's page on the wiki, still pissed off about his death. And I saw it.
rip. dgs spoilers are rough.
ALSO SPOILERS JUST IN CASE
Literally just right after I met him, I went to the Wiki just because I thought he was cool. Next thing I knew, I read the spoiler. It's just so frustrating. I didn't know that he'd have such a big impact on the game and myself. I feel like I ruined my own experience of DGS from the very beginning. I just had to pretend that I knew nothing. Now I know a major plot twist, all because I checked the Wiki. It didn't stop me from crying everytime Naruhodou or Susato mentioned him, though. Damn, I regret looking him up.
Still, I think DGS is an absolute masterpiece, and I'm going to continue their great journey together.
@@healingflower717 DGS really is a masterpiece of a game: ) And same, I did know about the plot twist about him before it happened but it still hurt when it happened and when they talked about it. The great and emotional thing is not just about the event itself, it's how Asougi's fate ripples and affects all those around him.
Oh boy you guys are gonna love DGS 2 then.
