@@oumarroukia254 Well it is certainly true for me and I will explain my reasoning. Kazuma is a cool character concept having a friend that is actually morally questionable but Ryunosuke is unaware of it and just assumes that he is the best prior to case 2-4. Meaning that Ryu’s idolisation of Kazuma’s character meant that is unaware of his friends faults. This concept is pretty cool but the problem is that the game fails to properly execute it, making his character (for me personally) the worst written of the main cast. 1. Kazuma coming back from the dead means that he has to play catch up with his character development, arc and personality. His character arc and development is ultimately very rushed. This makes his cool concept of being a flawed friend not very effective and poorly written. His “flawed” personality lacked proper development and foreshadowing. Ryu’s relationship with the rest of the cast is also much more developed than his relationship with Kazuma this also affected my judgement of his writing. Him coming back from the dead means that the emotional impact from case 1-2 is removed entirely and it makes the case look worse than it already was. His revival is very cheap and his cliched amnesia plot line certainly didn’t help any matters. 2. Kazuma didn’t have enough screen time in order for me to care for him. Kazuma is gone for around 6-7 cases, that is a long time without him. I cared for the other characters because they were present with much more screen time - I forgot about him as the cases went on. The game expects me to care for him when he returns but I do not care because I barely had enough time to know and care for him, especially in comparison with the rest of the cast. It expects me to care that he is a “flawed” person but I don’t because the last time I had a full conversation with him was in the first case. He also takes away screen time from properly developed characters like Gina and Susato. 3. It is ironic that a lawyer game doesn’t punish a man who willingly joined an assassin exchange program (it isn’t properly foreshadowed) 4. Prior to his death we are told that Kazuma is an amazing guy but that is told rather than shown There is no objectivity when in comes to character writing. You can believe that he is a well written character and I may believe it to be the opposite. With 8 billion people someone is bound to disagree with you.
I don't understand how the game manages to make me feel like Asougi was my actual best friend, but they did an amazing job doing so.
which was incredible, but made his death so much more painful.
And they did that in less than 2 cases.

"...I wanted to *kill* him."
U should probably mark this as DGS2 spoilers, since some ppl might think the "spoilers" is just referring to case 2.
please put this as DGS 2 spoilers with the case number. i think i just ruined case 5 because i thought i'd be safe. thanks a lot
@@phoenixwright7802 Oh my... sorry, but MAYBE you shouldn't be reading spoiler comments if you haven't fully finished the game... nonetheless, as you wish.
@@juliogomesdesouza9035 yeah thanks. it's a video about music from the first game so it might be okay but sadly i wasn't. i'm just beginning trial part 1 for case 5, pretty disappointed i couldn't come to the realisation myself. hopefully others wont have it ruined too
@@juliogomesdesouza9035 well i've finished it a few days ago. thankfully wasn't really spoiled at all, but yeah kinda knew something was coming but didn't initially expect who it was that was Gregson's killer lol.
This has the same energy as Kaine ~ Salvation from NieR. It’ll make you cry even if you don’t know the context
Ah, the feeling of getting launched by the Square Enix building.
I hate it here this song is literally pain and suffering but make it ✨pretty✨
I love this song so much im crying again
I could not believe what happened in dgs 1-2, and this music finished me
Red headband lead headband dead headband 😔
Ah, yes... The time when kazuma get his tongue twist.
B R E A D P A N
Red Bread Pan Lead Bread Pan Dead Bread Man
Swift samurai swords swipe silently sideways.
Cat with a smile: very poor choice of words
This song destroys me emotionally EVERY TIME
Easily one of the most powerful songs in the game.
This track really sums up "tragic anime deaths"
(Kazuma... the way he was acting during the trial, it's almost as if... he was possessed...)

Hope is lost forever - Taketsuchi Auchi
why am I having an emotional moment over a fictional character, why?
i need to stop listening to this, im crying again
I feel SO Bad for case 2's murderer. Like, sure, it was murder, but it wasn't really intentional or anything, just an accident.
It was an unfortunate misunderstanding on her part. If only he told her. Well, at least the "victim" is alive :)
RIP auchi
's hair
I'm sorry, but I hate how they used THIS THEME for Auchi's hair (in the second game specifically). It annoys me.
SPOILERS
Even though he’s alive, his “death” still makes me sadge. They did a rlly good job at creating the atmosphere in that moment hhgygyhb
Everything flowers until Kazuma suddenly revives and becomes Edgeworth 2.0
You mean Godot 2.0, Wright?
@@herrforesight-Satanisking well, he's back from the "dead" And become a prosecutor and more aggressive than before.

Asogi best buddy. I cried at ep 2
F For the biggest Chad in ace attorney
To think.. if he only was off in a different position, he'd just fall, bounce back up like "wtf baby girl? Just getting the homie out the closet here(pause)" lol even hearing this theme, I feel the hurt 🥺 I really thought he was Edgeworth's ancestor 😅
Well, if he hadn’t cracked his spine, Ryunosuke might never have become a lawyer in his stead and help uncover the whole conspiracy.
@@haihuynh8772 true, tho I still argue that's surprising that a kinda actual baby girl like nikolina or whatever can not only shove my built looking dude, but did it in a "luke and the death star" level way that "killed" him😅😅😅 like bruh
do you know yet
@@pollenzx Well now I do lol but In the Case when the first game was by itself without resolve, he died in a tragically dumb way lol
don't reply to new player's comments with spoilers challenge
JUST WHY WHYYYYY did you have to kill off SUCH A GOOD SAMURAI
Wandered into the comments section and got blasted by spoilers, thanks everyone
Maybe you shouldn't hear a game's ost before you play it
just saying.
@@adyn8811 Especially on the sequel. The soundtracks themselves are already a huge spoiler, even without comments.
yeah, seriously. and most of them don't even have any spoiler warning
Another thing I'll note that out of the other "sad tracks" in this series, this one feels the most complex lol
Spoiler for DGS 2
always wondered if Nina ever found out that Kazuma managed to survive the fall
Dude put a spoiler tag come on
I kinda got spoiled about this Already bc I saw a new kazuma model, but still. I'm not even done with the first game yet
True
When this played in game T_T
Imagine if Kazuma ate the chicken that night…
As tragic as this was being played, anyone else feel like case 2 needed slightly more work as I don't remember them tieing up loose ends mainly around the cat (like there was barely any sight of her after we deduced she exist lol)
I really like this theme a bit more than his other regular theme, tho *looks at the ending of case 2*, what did it cost🥺?
Blud got outplayed by a guy who got outplayed by a hologram of motherfuckin herlock sholmes 😭 🙏
This song reminds me of the Ragnarok online soundtrack - the great.
😭😭😭
i'm so fucking depressed right now why did he die why why HWYYHHYHY
i come here every day to cry
Play DGS2
He isn't really dead. He comes back in TGAA2 but more aggressive and had a new identity.
@@Kagetora- you love spoiling people dont you
With this theme, how could the girl suspect my man of lying 😅.
Asogi with this theme makes me believe he's the Japanese "captain America of law"(or rather the Japanese ace attorney Steve Rogers lol)
Beat chronicles, and I gotta say, it's amazing how a little shove can alter the course of things(at least Phoenix's bloodline was established (would like if they ever make a great ace attorney 3, it'd be cool if a time traveling serial killer from ace attorney (maybe dahlia?..) and killed maybe the waiter detective and is gunning for Ryu just because of Phoenix lol(could be the Gavin guy too from Apollo justice lol those 2 are the only logical choices I could think of who would try to use time travel to erase phoenix 😂))
Even this track can withstand a very faulty aux chord lol
Asogi tragically passed away when a ten year-old girl stepped on his foot because he didn’t want to eat a pork chop
Chicken you mean since Kazuma didn't like it and gave the food to Ryunosuke.
Feels man.. feels...

Kazuma aka the character with the most wasted potential, also the most disappointing way a character is written in the whole game
That’s not true at all?
3. It is ironic that a lawyer game doesn’t punish a man who willingly joined an assassin exchange program (it isn’t properly foreshadowed)
4. Prior to his death we are told that Kazuma is an amazing guy but that is told rather than shown
There is no objectivity when in comes to character writing. You can believe that he is a well written character and I may believe it to be the opposite. With 8 billion people someone is bound to disagree with you.
