Good job ! ❤ Best way i know your on top dead center is… when the intake closes and the compression release ( exhaust ) barely opens and closes That Is Top Dead Center !
Always works w my engines !
I just have problems w cheap carbs, nibbi 28 has been serving me well !

How much side-to-side movement is acceptable? Pulled the valve cover on my GX200 and the intake rocker has some play left to right (like yours in the video) by my exhaust rocker is really really tight. No play. Both move freely and the engine runs fine. Noticed some sputtering at WOT though.

honestly stock rockers have a lot of play. sputtering is from your carb try a bigger main jet or add more fuel to the fix

You just want a little bit of resistance when you use the filler gauge

The manual says .004-.006 intake and .006-.008. Have you tried 5 intake and 7 exhaust?

I don’t understand the locking but part of this. I’ve been sitting here messing with my valves for like 3 hours and both nuts are adjusting the tightness it’s impossible to get it snug. Please help lol

I’m timing them at .003 and no matter what I do it’s either too tight where I’m ripping my feeler gauge out or it’s way too loose.

@kegancovey2169 you tighten the big nut with your fingers.

Tighten bolt finger tight onto the feeler gage. Then slightly loosen bolt when also tightening the 10mm nut
