So.... Fun fact: the pleats on the hat are also a symbol. Each pleat symbolizes a different way you know how to cook an egg..... Which is confusing for me seeing this guy use pancake mix while claiming to be a head chef lol
I just did a pancake challenge at a diner here in St Louis and while I didn't want another pancake for a few days, I was ready for more again by the following weekend hahaha

I got through a little less than half of the order, didn't wanna push myself considering I still had to drive home. May have been able to do 3/4 but I can't fathom eating the entire thing. I chose "The Elvis" so the peanut butter, banana, and bacon helped with the whole pancake overload sensation.
DMAX YOU HAVE GREAT CONTENT AND I (WE) LOVE THAT YOURE ONE OF FEW PEOPLE THAT HAS MAN VS. FOOD WITH ADAM! THANK YOU!!!! KEEP IT UP!!!!!! You do have other content I respect .. BUT Man Vs. Food wins with me everytime!!!!!!!! 💯
The chef said he has less than a 1 percent chance of completing it but 1 percent of 297 is 3, and 4 people have completed it, which is MORE than a one percent chance. Thank you for coming to my nitpick Ted Talk😂
Well adam isn't a competitive eater, for anyone who does it professional would cut it up shove in your mouth with your bare hands and wash it down with a beverage. You have to do it fast before your body starts sending a signal to the brain. I remember I tried a challenge of a massive burger. It was like several patties, and I remember I tried. Eventually your jaw just crams up, and I didn't eat fast enough that by the time I got halfway done my complete body stopped. Like you hit a very hard wall, and it's hard to pick up the fork again. Let's just say that stomach ache and restroom were not the best of times
Either it’s a local company they’re supporting that makes quality pancake mix, or it’s just to save time. Since diner style restaurants have such extensive menus, they often do stuff like that to save time. You’ll see stuff like frozen/bagged sauces, premade mixes for pancakes, waffles and fry batter, frozen fries, precut vegetables, and components from certain dishes being used the exact same way in others.
I bet this restaurant/cafe serve at least between 300-400 a day and to keep up with the constant flow of checks they would buy stuff in to save on a full days labour of prep constantly.
If you covered it in maple syrup it'd be easier to eat because it'd be softer, easier to chew and less heavy but sweeter, overall guarantee faster to eat, probably easier to eat, tastes better too.
I tried this about a year and a half ago, going in knowing i'd lose. I just wanted the novelty of having the experience, and too see how far i could actually get. Years later, the staff still remember the show and were so friendly and nice. Even if you don't take the challenge, the food there is still really good. Just be prepared for the density in the pancakes. Those things are hard to swallow haha edit: i chose the blueberry ones as well and was 4 bites away from eating one whole pancake if anyone was curious
So, I commend Adam for doing all these difficult challenges, but I'm willing to bet that if he didn't dick around and dramatize the whole situation talking with the crowd the whole time and actually got down to business, he would beat most of these challenges.
That's what makes the show fun to watch! They could've gotten any competitive eater to do Man vs. Food, but they chose Adam because of his charisma and cause he brings in the viewers. I guarantee the show would've had half the viewership it did if it was just some unentertaining fat sweaty dude eating big amounts of food lol.
To all those complaining about the Math Error: we apologize for the math error, why don’t you go and try it, so we can make that number less than 1% to correct the mistake
You can easily make homemade pancake mix, I do it myself. All you really need is flour, baking powder, sugar, and a pinch of salt. A pancake mix is basically just all the dry ingredients already mixed.

He's not too good at math that guy... probably why he lives in Hawaii
I love how our British homies are vibing along us Americans in Adam's food challenges. You guys rock
We love it.
Adam made this show so great.
Love the way the chef is wearing full chef whites, plus hat while using pancake mix. ☺
Yeah? Right. Totally sucks they don’t actually make the pancake batter

I can just imagine how many people get high n walk into that restaurant
