I do wonder what the mechanics are for a creature that steals some of your life force/healing spells. Do you have to tell players that they should subtract 5 hit points from that number and if they don’t roll well then they think it’s an effect of this place on that kind of magic? Does a creature take some from like mass healing word where it applies equally to people? Would they see that creature noticeably get better each time or would it suddenly not look as beat up?

If you plaid plane scape back in the 90s you would be shocked what they already have

That sounds like an original Planescape purists response. Anytime something gets a major upgrade whether it’s comic book heroes or DnD settings or video games… the purists will resist change because of their deeply invested nostalgia. Thankfully there’s rooms and tables and players with enough variety to keep everyone happy. I played in the 90s and yes this was an incredible setting. The new iteration is also incredible and provides so much nuance and keeps surprises intrinsic to the gameplay. ❤️‍🔥🌹
