    G'DAY MEN. I can now comment on the show.
    I am a qualified panel beater my self and this is so great to see the correct ways done
    . I also watch a few other channels I will not say the name. He is all show and unfortunately does not have the skill.
    Teaching the wrong ways. You boys are the Go to.
    Back when I was on the tools file finishing was basically gone.
    Thank you for showing the skill again.
    Its hard to do on todays cars but on the old girls you can carrie out this job as the metal is thick.
    SEE YOU ON THE NEXT ONE KEEP IT REAL KEEP IT RIGHT

    I’m so glad you investigated a bit further on the holes in the bottoms of the sills. Can imagine how much of a PITA it was to redo… but so much better to do now than once painted! Your attention to detail is second to none…thanks for sharing your incredible passion, knowledge and skill.

    Hey blokes, very good stuff, i have learned so much more about steel and body work watching you both, what i feel would be good to explain to overseas viewers and the youngsters is the reasons these little Toranas were such giant killers, for instance their rigid well built body shells, great handling, great power to weight ratio, a lot is evident in your videos.

    See doesn't matter how long we work on cars still learning things. Who new holes aren't on bottom on seal unless you've seen one or more in original condition. 👍

    It must take lots of time filming and editing. Great info and good questions what are the holes for ? Maybe some guy who worked in the factory will know.

    • @adamsonautobody
      @adamsonautobody  8 месяцев назад

      Yes @pai7870 it takes hours to edit and also film. We hope there is a Guy from the old factory days.

  • @melf3359
    @melf3359 8 месяцев назад

    Hi, i noticed you guys touch the bare metal surface of the repairs. Doesn't it rust around those areas? Are you using anything to seal that bare metal surface so to avoid any moisture from your hands rusting the surface?

    • @adamsonautobody
      @adamsonautobody  8 месяцев назад +1

      Hey @melf3359 we don't like to use anything on our bare metal.
      Once the Metal work is finished we will get stuck into it with sand blaster on outside and rotary orbitals.
      We try to leave as much paint on the car as we can until we get up to Etch and Prime stage.
      We try not to touch bare metal. The few areas will clean up very easy.
      Thanks for watching 👍

    Dumb question. How do you know when file finishing if you are taking too much metal off? Watched a bit further and you answered.

    • @restorationkingsking
      @restorationkingsking 8 месяцев назад +1

      HI blanchy
      I was a panel beater my whole life,
      The way you can learn is to get a old panel and start having a good play.
      after a while you learn how much you can remove.
      Some guys had it some didn't.
      It looks easy and its actually hard.
      Practice makes perfect.
      the best way to learn is from guys like this in real life.
      These guys should start classes.
      Hope this helps.

      @@restorationkingsking Thanks, I'm an amateur but early on realised how poor body filler is. I used it and flared? it in but after a year or so I noticed it shrank and was noticeable. Pisses me off that supposedly qualified people use so much.
