I was a line mechanic at The Bill Swad Mopar dealership in Columbus when the Road Runner came out with the 383 or 440 and we had 2 come in with the 426 Hemi. I got to test drive them all. I loved them. The hemis were spooky.

I hope some day I can get my '70 Plymouth Superbird, my dream car!!! I gotta have it, so Mr. Petty can sign it!!! I love all the Mopars, A, B, C, E, F, M , J bodies, even D series trucks, and B Van's from 1971-78!!! My current Mopar is a '72 Plymouth Fury III unmarked detectives car, it has all the goodies, just needs TLC!!! I fell in love with C-bodies since my Dad's '71 Sport Fury 4door Hardtop, damn car had everything from a 440, to wiper brushes on the hideaway headlights, all options!!! Mopar Nate Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Broken Lizard (Super Troopers/Dukes of Hazard) said there was a Mopar graveyard in Arizona with a very large selection of donor cars available (it was on the DVD commentary). You might be able to find several good donor cars if you can find the wrecker.

Nothing weird about loving A bodies. They are far more achievable for most people than a b or e body.Sometimes when you have money and can afford expensive toys you loose touch with reality.Mark you have a problem, the car has to be rare for you to like it.

Challenge: Does Mark have guts enough to find a 69 4-door Belvidere (wagon too) and restore. Like something from Adam-12. Not because its 1 of 100, but because 4-doors deserve respect 👍

My first car was a 69' 4 door belvedere when I got it the odometer only had 100,000 miles on it and was owned by a little old lady that got it when she was 16 from her dad's dealership in Roseburg Oregon it had the 440 with a six pack ( original everything with immaculate interior and paint. She lived in Canyonville Oregon her whole life and she drove it to school and church and the grocery store it had a limited slip rear end and was a shade of beige the paint was immaculate still and it had been serviced regularly. I went out of town with my friends and left the car with my pops and he took his girlfriend out for a romantic drive and stopped up on one of the many view points in the canyons and forgot to put the break on and they decided to make out on the hood of my car and it rolled out from under them and went over the edge and dropped 175 feet to the bottom of the canyon and was totaled.

While watching the Autopsy Report segment it looked like the vinyl top was wrong on the car. Shouldn't it be a wide seam top since its a SE formal roof?

Every single time i hear will talking about "transparent this" and "transparent that" ... "took 8 coats of base" and all of this non sense, i laugh.
it would help if he would down his movements. hes practically sprinting trying to lay the color. he mists it on so lightly that it does seem like its "transparent" doesnt it.... LOL

Shot DuPont Base Coat back in the day. They had a sealer that was tinted , or Value Shade, so I didn't need 10 coats of color. The paint code in the computer had the sealer to use.

When everyone had one of those belly button model A body that just tells me why Doug loves them as well as i do. Super birds and Daytona's were ugly then and for some odd reason still ugly today for most people or they would have sold more of them. If that keeps it cheap for us poor car guys then that makes me happy even if i am a Chevy guy i own a 69 Cuda as one of my odd ball love affair's with cars. Nothing says stupid more to me than owning a couple of million dollars car and afraid to drive it on the streets but keep it in a garage where only a few friends get to see it and maybe hear it idle with a few vroom vrooms as the most it will or can do without have a heart attack if a rock chip happens when doing what these cars were built and sold for as fun transportation.
