Hey guys, another great episode, these videos are priceless, the art of repairing a vehicle properly, the right way, the education content the encouragement and enthusiasm to educate enthusiasts to do things the right way, it’s a dying art. These videos will always be my reference when doing my small amateur repairs. When I think you are getting on top of this project and something else needs doing, always look forward to the next episode.
Congratulations Mick and Paige. Another great episode. Level of detail in this restoration is absolutely incredible and the old XU1 is certainly going to be better than factory.
That Torana will be a real gem when ,completely finished , nice to see some one that knows what thy are doing, and shows the correct techniques for this sort of work.
Congratulations Mick,Pops, family & friends. Thanks for including us all guys & cheers 🍻 for dropping another episode as I always patiently anticipate the next knowledge filled up dates.love & best wishes from Adelaide.❤👍👫🍻🍷..40° degrees here today boys...
Great work very interesting repair, thanks for the tuition. Happy marriage Mick. Always look forward to these video's, can't wait to see the body work. Cheers
Nothing like a lovely wedding and family. Congratulations Mick and you definitely cleaned up by the looks she’s a stunner. Excellent job on the rails. I would feel safe driving that again. Keep up the episodes
looks like a Top day Pops and Mick. Congrats to all your family Paige looks like a barbie and Mick looks very sharp. Done the car more magic and this is so good watching the repairs being done by you 2 professionals. Perfect repairs even sandblasting the rail. I am amazed you men are sharing so much skill for free and the primer. I my self always used PPG in my shop. Would be interesting to use Deluxe. Much respect from a qualified beater to qualified Beaters. Keep showing the correct ways its so refreshing to watch thank you.😀🙂👍
had a mk 1 v6 capri back when i was 21 1981 put a 327 chev 9in and 350 auto in it wished i kept it and restored to original like this all new chrome paint but sold to buy my first house allways regret selling this torana just brings back the memories
Every week I’m impressed by the level of work Mick and Pops give us and the level of technology used in putting the right tool for each job. I’m impressed with how you rejuvenated those rails. I had a HQ Sandman years ago where the idiot before me fibreglassed them instead of replacing or fixing them costing a heap to get it repaired so I understand your level of commitment to such a important part of a build. Congrats to Mick and his new bride, maybe she can keep him in line now 👍💪👊👌😂😂
Congratulations Mike you are doing a great job. We need more love in the world. Well done Darryl for teaching the young guys the respect and morals. I really like how you guys sand blast the parts. You definitely make sure it’s done correctly. It’s done properly. I hate when panel beaters say they can do it properly and then they just slap it together on RUclips. If they could do it they would. You guys are the real deal it’s nice to see the correct ways done for a change. There are so many know it alls on RUclips and when you watch there show they actually know nothing. Smoking mirrors all just for adds and money. You 2 keep up this great channel it’s the best thing that happen in our trade on RUclips. Keep it reel keep it right pops and Mike. I will try Dulux fleet shield. Thanks for sharing this primer.
Fun fact: the third premier of Queensland, Robert McKenzie was known as a bit of a party boy and a rogue who loved to race his horse down the middle Queen Street in the CBD and scare the shit out of the public. His horses name was Tirana (not quite torana, but Queenslanders would pronounce it the same 😂) He lost his job and died in Scotland a few years later
Well done Mick! Pops definitely a proud Dad Moment! Great to have you back! I was beginning to wonder if something was wrong with my computer lol. Question - will you be stone guarding the underside of the car? Another top episode of knowledge sharing, Thankyou :)
Thanks @scottyr6033 . Definitely a proud moment for pops. LOL the computer packed it in haha. I'm pretty sure we will be stone guarding underside as the owner wants to drive it on weekends. Thanks for taking the time to comment. cheers

If you enjoy the show don't forget to give us a like 😀🤗👍✌🤙🙏
The customer must have deep pockets for quality work like you guy produce. Would 80k be about right on a job like this?
@@stevenkirk2563 $100-150 would be a fair rate I’d say, but the car will be worth up to 200k when it’s done
Top job boys as always keep it up, looking the goods 👌

DO TORANA'S HAVE FRONT ANTI SWAY BARS ?
IF YES DO I NEED ONE IF I USE THE FRONTEND IN ANOTHER CAR ?
I HAVE FRONT END FROM A UC
The metal is coated with epoxy primer. The weld thru primer goes over that . Doesn't the epoxy primer interfere with the welding?
Yes they say that. Just don’t put it where your welding on to.
The chassy bits were hanging up in the spray booth and thoroughly primed with epoxy. @@linz7172
Hi @Hazzy238 yes you're right. We actually clean up the area before welding.
47:57 vs 51:08 Which one would you prefer?
The finish looks the same is that what you mean ?
