Most of the more severe illnesses happen to people by surprise, unexpectantly, impacting first in the brain, then in the corresponding organ which that part of the brain controls. The end of WWI had absolutely everything to do with the Flu and lung TB outbreak that occurred killing millions. In nature, the biological conflict linked with a territorial fear (just what it means-a fear in your territory, your home, your community, etc.) is a widening of the bronchia (tissue loss). Your body attempts to widen your bronchia in order to allow more air into your lungs to give you more strength and energy to fight to keep your territory safe. Stay with me.......The biological conflict linked with a death fright impacts the lungs. The lungs attempt to grow larger in order to allow more air in because breath equals life, as we all know. No breath equals death.
While you are in the fear or death fright conflict, you notice no symptoms of “disease”, except you have cold hands, cold feet, you can’t sleep, you awaken at 3 AM every night, you have little appetite. During the war, millions of people were in fear of the bombing of their homes and cities where the war was most active. Fearing for their lives, their loved ones in the war, their ability to survive. The food in the stores was sparse due to shortages. This lasted for 4 long years! The longer the conflict, the worse the healing phase. Within 2 weeks of the German Chancellor announcing the end of WWI, these millions of people ALL went into the healing phase all at the same time. It is during the healing phase that you experience symptoms of illness! What is the healing phase of the bronchia widening? Severe bronchitis, pneumonia. The body attempts to refill this lost tissue and you experience inflammation, fever, coughing, body aches, fatigue, etc. What is the healing phase of the extra lung tissue that grew? Decomposing of the tissue by TB bacteria and fungi. The symptoms of this healing phase are: severe coughing up of blood and tissue, fever, inflammation, severe mucous, body aches, fatigue. During this decomposing of the extra tissue (tumor), the body expels a lot of protein, and without replenishment, severe protein loss can result in death. Antibiotics did not exist yet. If TB bacteria does not exist in a person or they have been vaccinated against TB (big mistake), then the tumor will simply encapsulate and become dormant and not harm you. Who died during the Spanish Flu? Mainly the poor who could not afford to buy meat and proper nourishment, and the people who were directly impacted by the bombings and destruction of their homes.
Millions of people suffered fear and death frights during the fighting of WWI, and millions of people all went into healing at the end of it. Not everyone was affected because not everyone suffered the same way.

Even though I was in my late 20's when that film was released, I still count it as one of my favorites. The cast was just so endearing and perfect in their respective roles...captured teenage "angst" perfectly...and the soundtrack is timeless...
I saw Andrew in New York at a store/ restaurant. He realized i recognized him but went on his way as i did. He is lucky to be able to walk around without being recognized. I'm the same age as he is, so of coarse i noticed him. I wish him the best!

I’m 55 and loved the “Brat Pack” and their movies. Those movies helped define my generation of X’rs as we grew up. For me, the term is endearing. Andrew was always one of my favorites from that group. I wish the group could do a movie together now that they’re all in their late 50’s. I think it would be a hit!
Pretty in Pink has always been one of my favorite movies because of him and Molly's chemistry. It's still a classic. To think he gives all the credit to Molly, and how she changed his life is beautiful. I've always loved all the characters in the Brat pack and have always thought it was a wonderful thing. I didn't know he was directing such films today, he's such a talent. All the best to you Andrew. You're a class act!
I am 51 and seeing Andrew and listening to his words make me happy with “just fine “ thank you for mannequin and weekend at bernie’s, the 80’s were the best decade for music and films 🏴
Great actor. It's a shame that not much came in the last few years. My favorite films remain are "CLASS, Heaven Help Us, Pretty in Pink, Mannequin, Weekend at Bernie’s 1+2"
Such a wonderful interview/segment. Made me tear up. Andrew has done well! He definitely deserved to be in that 75th Anniversary of Paramount Pictures photo session. He has cemented his place in the history of motion pictures and I love him for what he brought to film, and I know I'm not the only one.

Every time I see Andrew McCartney, Rob Lowe and all of the other 80s stars it brings back so many memories for me. I had their magazine pics plastered all over the inside of my desk at school as a teen in the 80s. I was transfixed by every movie they appeared in, "Pretty in Pink" being one of my absolute faves. I am now almost 50 and I still have such a soft spot for this guy who I massively crushed on. There is a lot to be said for not getting caught up in the whole Hollywood thing and just following your own road and doing so well. Fair play to you, Andrew.

I crushed on him as a young kid in the 80s because his characters were so sweet, adorable, and sensitive. How wonderful to know he really is that way. 🥰
What a humble guy. He was one of my favorites in the 80s. I worked at a beach movie theater when Weekend at Bernie's came out in '89. It was huge hit--the perfect vaca. summer beach movie. We played through the entire summer, and it was great to hear the audience roaring with laughter every night. I still have to stop and watch it every time it passes by on TV. Andrew's looking fantastic, and it's cool his voice hasn't noticeably changed a bit.

McCarthy still exudes that boyish charm that made him popular in the 80's. My favorite McCarthy film is Less Than Zero. Him and Robert Downey Jr. were so good in it.
I was born the year "Pretty in Pink" came out but I saw it at some point as a teenager or college student and fell in love with him. Molly knew what she was talking about when she said "He's sensitive, he's poetic... that's the kind of guy I'd fall for." She was right! Now I'm 35 and while he looks a bit different (as do I!), he's still got the boyish voice and charm! Also, I've never heard someone try to describe the difference between stress and anxiety like he did, but I completely understand what he means by it...

They have such a great dynamic together where it made the ridiculous and absurd plot points so memorable to keep your attention to the very end. I grew up watching this movie as a child and it has a great deal of nostalgic and sentimental value I cherish.
Always loved him. But I was rooting for Duckie.
Same.
Jon Cryer is such the underrated actor. He truly has genius. I wish more people recognized his unique brand of talent.
They filmed the prom at the same ballroom as my prom 4 months afterwards in 1985..the Crystal Ballroom at the Biltmore Hotel
LOL! I think we all were. But he turned out fine... He became a chiropractor and moved in with his rich brother on the beach 😝
His name is Blaine?!
My little sister and I would just swoon over Andrew McCarthy when we were very young. There was just something about him…
Those eyes..
I feel like a teenager again and my heart is a puddle watching him then and now - youth culture is a powerful drug and John Hughes certainly knew how to peddle it to us!!
Just your heart?

Ah, Andrew! I have loved him his whole career. And watching him walk and talk just now reminds me so much of my late husband. There's a certain quiet grace there that is magnificent.
So very sorry for your loss. If Andrew reminds you of your late husband, you’re one blessed lady.
He’s regal but comes across with humility
@@penandpencilplow Yes..very much so..

Always my favorite. The quietness of his demeanor 🥰

Master your craft and don't rely on charisma. Wise teacher.
Just in terms of talent, I always thought he was one of the best actors of his generation. I wish he would do more acting.
He stole my ❤ since Pretty in Pink. I'm glad he's still a good person.
I was definitely always in love with Andrew than any of the male actors.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate that Jimmy Stewart impersonation 😂
Pretty in Pink is 🌸 a Classic...
glad to see he’s directing
Even though I was in my late 20's when that film was released, I still count it as one of my favorites. The cast was just so endearing and perfect in their respective roles...captured teenage "angst" perfectly...and the soundtrack is timeless...
I have the 33 rpm record album.....and it's PINK!
good interview with a very real and engaging actor - Molly definitely made the right choice for Pretty in Pink!!
I'm glad JH respected her pointing out to him that Andrew was the one.
@@Muhdah1972 Not the same without John Hughes. I loved pretty much everything he directed.
Team Duckie 4ever.
@@jedijones Lol!😂
I saw Andrew in New York at a store/ restaurant. He realized i recognized him but went on his way as i did. He is lucky to be able to walk around without being recognized. I'm the same age as he is, so of coarse i noticed him. I wish him the best!
Always loved Andrew McCarthy!
He never struck me as handsome in the 80s, but he does now!!! 💛
Back then he was cute, now he is really handsome.
The same can be said for the actor Robby Benson who was well known in the 1970s. He was what you'd call cute. As an older man, he is very handsome.
Like fine wine..he’s one of those men that became handsome with age.
Very handsome now - it's nice to see a man and anyone in Hollywood mature gracefully
@@lovescoffee7189 Robby Benson was always gorgeous, with his stunning blue eyes and beautiful hair, but he was so shy and sweet, so different then many hollywood actors of his era, ...love Robby so much.💗
I’m 55 and loved the “Brat Pack” and their movies. Those movies helped define my generation of X’rs as we grew up. For me, the term is endearing. Andrew was always one of my favorites from that group. I wish the group could do a movie together now that they’re all in their late 50’s. I think it would be a hit!
That's a great idea. Reunite the pack.
What would they do? Raid each others Lipitor? Snort Geritol? Chase a fat, wrinkly Ringwald around?
OH! I'm gonna have to re-watch some of his old movies! I graduated high school in 1984 and I was in love with Andrew McCarthy !!
Andrew McCarthy is so forgotten about, it's nice to see that he is doing well. Loved him in those classic 80s movies.
Would love to see him as male lead now.
Most definitely, I love the brat pack actors and he was one of my favorite.
Me too !
As opposed to a female lead? :)
I’m around the same age as the brat pack and grew up watching them. Miss those days and miss my youth. Loved those movies.
One of those actors that don't seem to age, or ages better then most.
Both he and Ralph Macchio...aging EXTREMELY gracefully! Both seem like genuinely NICE gentlemen too...
He’s a year older than me. Still just as dreamy as the 80s
And how about his TV stuff, one of my favs of his is the episode"Grandpa's Ghost" of 80's hit TV series: Steven Spielberg's- Amazing Stories!
Such a wonderful interview/segment. Made me tear up. Andrew has done well! He definitely deserved to be in that 75th Anniversary of Paramount Pictures photo session. He has cemented his place in the history of motion pictures and I love him for what he brought to film, and I know I'm not the only one.

Those of us who were in our early 20's in the mid 1980's, remember it as the high point of the USA.
It was a great time to be alive. I don't think we will ever see a time like that again, ever.
And plenty of us who were younger than that also.
I was in 5th and 6th grade in the mid 80s. It was 1 of the best times in US history. 1 of the best presidents was leading us into prosperity and technology was up and coming
I agree.

Grew up with posters of this guy on my wall🥰 Luv him!!
Just saw him in Good Girls and it was such a treat. I know he’s not acting full-time anymore, but I wish he would reconsider.
I'm sure like most actors of any age, he would work if someone offered him a good role. The ones that aren't working aren't being asked to.
@@jedijones I think he’s more interested in directing now than acting.
I crushed on him as a young kid in the 80s because his characters were so sweet, adorable, and sensitive. How wonderful to know he really is that way. 🥰
I, like Molly Ringwald, would have chosen Andrew too! He was always one of my favorites!
Excellent interview. Andrew is one awesome guy. Good luck to him always.
I'm glad that they did a feature on Andrew McCarthy, instead of James Spader. I've had a grudge with him since Pretty in Pink.
Agreed. An article then where he stated, ‘he didn’t date fat chicks’ came back to haunt him.

My favorite McCarthy film is Less Than Zero. Him and Robert Downey Jr. were so good in it.
Ahhh that was my favorite movie of his as well! Such great performances by young actors. Loved Jami Gertz too!
Yep, my fav also
I was born the year "Pretty in Pink" came out but I saw it at some point as a teenager or college student and fell in love with him. Molly knew what she was talking about when she said "He's sensitive, he's poetic... that's the kind of guy I'd fall for." She was right! Now I'm 35 and while he looks a bit different (as do I!), he's still got the boyish voice and charm!
