I've been a huge fan of your jewellery and I've started making acrylic jewellery but not using my own designs from illustrator yet because the vector process seems so complicated and intimidating and this has helped a lot! Thank you 💖
@@melissarivera20 So, i personally recommend a machine that is closed. Like a desktop machine that is inside of an enclosure and that has a door as well. The reason is because if you are going to cut through plastics, there will be fumes and you do NOT want to breathe that in. My machine also has a fume extractor that I attached to it, so that it cleans the air before it blows it out of the hose, which I hang out of the window. Without that, there will be fumes blowing out. I am super against open lasers that are not inside of an enclosure. With that being said..there are some brands I recommend, Flux products like the Beamo, Beambox.. they have some new machines that came out too. or, Glowforge... and X-Tool. They range from around $2.5k+ they're not cheap :/
I've been thinking of making acrylic jewelry in silicone molds with acrylic nail liquid and powder. I don't know if it will work, but I'm going to try.
Love your video 🥰 So helpful! Do you know of any laser cutting online options in the US? The only ones I can find don’t have any pretty acrylic designs like Yeah laser or Slice!
My question is do you send the art drawings you did on the computer to that website you should and they will cut the pieces for you?...Cause you said on the video you didn't have to use a lazer machine for it if we didn't have one. I'm a little confused.
this video is fantastic thank you so much, I'm thinking of designing some acrylic jewellery aimed at men, as I think that there might be a gap for it, I'm thinking cool transparent neon pinks and greens for men that dare to wear a bit of colour.
Abigail from Slice laser I met her once at an arts market and she is honestly so sweet and talented, her own hand dyed acrylic jewellery is also stunning
Aaah I've been using a completely different type of acrylic manufacturers so this has helped loads! I've been wanting to get into different styles for ages now. Thank yoooou!
Thanks for this video and for sharing the glue you use!! Yay! I was about to order my pieces from YeahLaser, I'm glad to know that you use the same :) Your earrings are fantastic!
god art college made illustrator feel like a scary hellscape, but this made it feel much less intimidating!! Definitely want to give this a try soon👀 💕
I was just looking at the cost of a laser cutter and I feel I can never afford one because it’s so expensive. Then, I came across your video and this is brilliant!! I will definitely look into this 🥰 thank you for sharing
Hi! I wanna start making acrylics and I like transparent sheets. Do these glues show up on transparent? Thanks your video was the most helpful one I’ve seen so far :)
So did you just send your designs to the company with the acrylic color sheets and they cut out the pieces I wasn't sure how you got the pieces cut out?
Yes definitely it sticks super firm once it’s had a day to dry! Sometimes just to be sure, it helps to sand large pieces down slightly (with a nail file or sandpaper) so it’s a lil rougher and sticks better 😊
Love your tutorial. Just a question or two if you don't mind helping a newbie. :) What file do you save the "templates" when you send to the laser cutting shop...and how do you indicate the color of each piece? I'm wondering that as you do have many different small pieces. Also, is the laser cutting service reasonable in price? I would love to know how much it cost to have the items cut, even if you could give me a guestimate. Do you use any finishing spray etc?
No she did not falsely advertised. She showed you how to make acrylic jewelry without a machine...You just utilize a service from a company that does have a machine. That's a legit process. Sorry it doesn't work with whatever mental vision you had but that doesn't mean she was being misleading.
Ah I've been wanting to start acrylic jewelry for a while!!! So cute and inspiring!!🌼🌼
oMG YAY it's so fun!!! If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask and I'll help the best I can 💕✨
@@queenjellybeany3202 hello! Do you wholesale acrylic jewelry?

If you use an at home machine- what name or brand would you recommend? And do you remember about how much it was?

I have the same question. How do you cut out your pieces?
Does anyone have recommendations for this type of acrylic cutting service in Canada? I'm searching online & not sure who is reputable/affordable!
How is the weight for acrylic pieces? I’m wondering if they are heavy?

Instead making parts individually can you draw on the acrylic? If you do what do you use? :D
