My dad would buy me the bags of ice. I still do them to practice self-discipline I learned in the Marine Corps. An ice bath or even an ice plunge is actually healthy for you. There are numerous benefits.
There's a video of a Black man doing this training with his son. At first, his son can't stay in long. By the end of his training, his son stays in the length of the training. He is so confident when he stays in for the duration and he's really proud of himself. It's just teaching mental toughness. That's all. There is nothing unhealthy about an ice bath. Doctors recommend this to athletes.
He'll pay almost 2k for his son to do this, but he'll never pay for the therapy this boy will need.

They were already called, the video is viral, but they are going to take years, like they did for Ruby Franke, everyone called the CPS on her they did nothing, her 2 youngest almost died for them to do anything, that’s crazy. In Russia, kids with their classmates roll voluntarily around in the snow (snow bathing) supervised but usually around a minute or two before returning to a sauna(banya/ба́ня) then having tea. Many major health benefits/proverbs we have for this practice. A much milder exposure to cold and also enjoyed). What does not happen is getting thrown into a -10 or -20C ice water and for this long.. kids body is not developed to handle that..

My Dad (RIP) used to take us camping in the Angeles Crest Forest. All we had was a large cooler with some steak meat, tortillas and soft drinks. We sleot in tents and sleeping bags.
He hardly spent anything. No complaints. The food was awful and it was cold, but it's so damn beautiful at night that it's worth "rouging it".

Many people here are too emotional and ignorant (uninformed). You are neither. You are intelligent. I grew up an athlete and did these ice baths for myself because I saw athletes do them on tv. My dad went and bought the ice for me and was amazed wenever I did this. It's something I still do, mainly for self discipline. People don't understand how much confidence you gain by being able to control yourself. Now, I love cold weather and it doesn't affect me like it does my friends. This training also helped me when I served in the Marine Corps. I believe this ice bath "training" helped me and would help young men in training.

You can actually kill children putting them in ice baths like this for no reason. Their veins are smaller. If they have fibromyalgia, I wouldn't doubt that the pain alone might give them a heart attack combined with the vasodilation. I've had that condition my whole life and getting ice out of the freezer for my drinks causes me horrific pain. At any rate, I'm a behaviorist. This is absolutely physical and psychological abuse. I can't even think offhand of a single study that these people could reference in court to defend even any potential 'side-effect' benefit of doing this to people. None. Even Tik-tok salesmen quote stupid shyt, cherry picked facts out of context to sell people on things, but I can't imagine what these people defend this with.

@@gogopogo1 Aye. I'll look into options this week. It's great to know people who bring this to others' attentions are out there. I don't usually think to try to contact anyone because the CPS where I live score parents as "Great" even when the children are admitted to our hospitals with injuries consistent with falls from third story buildings and stories of them eventually coming back dead on arrival are absolutely rampant. It's not an excuse for me to not try to do something just because the odds are they won't, though. I hope the FBI doesn't just say "Call CPS". I dread reporting anything to anyone after being dismissed by law enforcement services in the past. It feels just as bad as what's being reported to have care for it be invalidated by people who you'd think apply to those places because they want to help people. Buuut, I digress.

Coming from a military fiancée that met my fiance’ in a military camp like this when we were 13, dawg, you do not have to pay $18,000 for this. Pay the $60-$100 it takes to get in a civilian military auxiliary program and go crazy. If the dad wanted to do this effectively, he should have put him in JROTC or CAP where it would be safer, geared towards children, and would not only teach resilience, but respect as well.
