I used to be a driver for Uber & lyft, I've had some really creepy passengers & iffy situations, as soon as i was able to find another gig job I quit being a driver for them. The little money they pay isn't worth not being safe. They used to pay really well, back in the beginning which was why I started but they kept cutting the driver's cut & situations got worse. I'd never drive for them now. Now I work with Amazon, delivering packages. Good pay & you don't have nearly as many unsafe situations. The only risks I still have to worry bout are people's dog's being out or people trying to steal your car/packages, but there are precautions you can take for those risks, Uber, not so much.
As a woman I’ve had guys yell at me why I never yelled and berated someone who did this to me and honestly it depends on the situation. If it’s in a car or at work or somewhere I can’t get out of I’m just nice so they don’t escalate and potentially follow me or get angry. If I can get away then I will be rude
drivers cop it worse, i never drover Uber but my female 40yr old friend did and she was assaulted twice in 3 months, a man tried SA'ing her and 3 girls tried to jump her...never got any compensation from Uber despite police reports.
Not in an Uber, but outside my friend's old apartment building last summer. I was going to visit him when I was stopped by a man who was much older than me. He kept commenting on how beautiful he thought I was and that he wanted to get to know me. I think he even suggested I get in his car with him despite telling him I was going to visit my friend (if I remember right). I did end up exchanging phone numbers with him, but only because I feared he lived in the area, and immediately blocked it as soon as I got to my friend's. Looking back on it? I honestly think he may have been trying to traffic me because he wouldn't shut up about my looks, but I can't say for sure.
My go to for strangers complimenting my looks was, "Thank you, my husband thinks so too!" That usually puts an end to any further commentary, except for one guy that got offended by me saying that, to which I just kept walking away.
The one time I took an Uber, he was kinda weird and asking many questions about where I was going and all..the thing is, he thought I was 16 ALWAYS say you are taken and have someone waiting for you, always
I had a lyft driver like this, and it was so uncomfortable. He kept telling me about all the women that he was sleeping with and that passengers are always drawn to him because of his personality and good looks (spoiler...he WAS NOT GOOD LOOKING and his personality was giving me stalker vibes.) I could not wait to get the hell out of his car. The only reason I did not report him is because he dropped me off at my house (which I told him was my Brother's) and did not want him coming back around after a bad review.
I remember as a kid, back then there's no uber/grab etc, we hailed a normal cab. The driver is very talkative, but I don't like making small talks so i was quiet, so he and my teenage sis was chatting. He looked at his rear mirror and was eager to talk to me, asked me why i was quiet and what's my name. (He was too friendly and ask alot of ques) After that, he said that he was a nice guy, if not he would've drove us to somewhere dangerous and sold us there. I was really uncomfortable and should've reported him but i was young and just want to get out of there.
Smh I had a mover do this to me. Luckily I ended up leaving the apartments they helped me to shortly after. It’s very uncomfortable feeling like a sitting duck in your own home
Dude is weird. I’m sure his account got deactivated. I’ve really only had 2 bad experiences with Uber. The first was during Covid when a dude had a sheet of plastic separating the back and the front and no air was coming to the back. The second was the dude’s car reeking of cigarette smoke. I consider myself blessed. Poor girl
I don’t have a huge circle of women that I communicate with but the younger ones (under 35) tell me that getting hit it during an Uber ride is a regular occurrence.😳
Funny story... I used to ride LYFT to the gas station to buy dutch cigars. I had the same driver a few days in a row. One day, out of nowhere, he says "Im gonna take you home with me," and follows up with a really creepy stare. A little off-put, confused and a bit mad I said "EXCUSE ME?" He says "Home. To Morocco. Worlds finest hash. You like? We go together." It took me a minute. I looked at him, looked at the blunt I was about to roll and was like..." ooooooh, ok. Gotya." In my head I was like, maybe you shouldve started with that. Some dudes mightve knocked him out for saying that to them. 😅😂😂
And I think white Western women are extremely whorish because the difference in clothing and the TV shows they see. They actually believe that if you just asked a white woman to sleep with you that she will be ready😂 Awful

I’m shook: one time in London when I was younger (18), I went with my grandma. In that time, a man propositioned me and my grandmother to a three way, to which we both declined after drinking his entire bottle of fancy wine.
She continued and laugh , "yes", "will do that", "not tonight", for too long, as a woman will shut him up immediately, no laugh at "I love you", NO WOMAN! Cut the crap and ....be silent, no emotion, no engagement. Works every time.

Wow, that was bold of the weirdo Uber driver 🤯 I think Xeno’s right in allowing passengers to request a male or female driver…I thought one of those companies do currently offer that?! Or maybe they did?! *_HOWEVER,_* given how Uber operates, anyone wanting a female driver will end up paying an arm & a leg for a surcharge because of the _demand_ for female drivers. Queue the “pink tax” warriors 🤦🏻♀️ I’ve only ever used Uber once…the dude was quiet & so the entire 20-25 minutes was…silent! It’s fine, but it felt strange because he didn’t have the radio on & I didn’t think it was proper to wear my AirPods in that situation 🤷🏻♀️ I have a much more lively time whenever the dealership shuttle drives me wherever I want after I drop my car off for a service.
This is the result of making everything into a "gig". Instead of professionals that can be somewhat vetted you get the people that have no other options. You get what you pay for. Get a cab if you want professionals.

Uber should offer you CASH, not free therapy sessions! That is ridiculous what you endured. Court action could be taken and they would have to pay up for that nonsense

I feel really proud of myself and people shouldn't be scared to make a scene when someone is disrespecting you. Next time I'm going make a verbal reaction.
1:28 Instead of letting this escalate.. people need to be more proactive. Get out of the car. Tell them to pull over. Pretend you’re car sick and gonna vomit. Or tell them you’re uncomfortable, on video chat with your security app and they’ll call the police if the car doesn’t get pulled over, or otherwise say whatever to get the fuck outta that car.
I've experienced something very similar to this but it was with a regular taxi company instead of Uber. The taxi driver had also asked me if I had a boyfriend and I said "Yes", then he proceeded to advise me to dump my boyfriend for him and then he began asking me weird questions like: "What would you do if you brought me to your parents' home? Do you think they'll like me?" =.=
I've had my fair share of awkward uber rides. Like asking weird questions and just driving unsafe sometimes. I had to report a rider for their car being a clunket. It rattled harder than courage the cowardly dog. Like if he were to wreck in it I'd be either injured or dead.
I think uber wouldn't let customers choose what gender driver they want because men would still abuse it to have a female driver. If the did implement something like that it could only be an option for female riders or drivers but men would freak out about that because its not "equal"

My creepy Uber driver offered me a ride home after my shift for free so that means not using the app I had to tell him "no my mom will be picking me up", I'm so happy I can drive myself now that ride is something I'll never forget he was guessing my weight and how much he liked women my size I was around 140 at the time
Pass. Too hefty for he. Thanks though
Happens constantly when I take cabs or Uber. Very intrusive questions about me, my family and who lives where and worse. Not judging this lady - she handled herself very well - but I am much more aggressive cause I’m so sick of it.
Uber does not care about the safety of passengers, Blessed Be.
7:22 That would just put the women drivers in danger.
That driver has turned the word enjoy into the new moist. Just ewww.
Free therapy sessions??!! Absolutely not! You should sue Uber. As a man this type of behavior is disgusting and absolutely unacceptable.
I don't use Uber anymore. The same happened to me, I was asked inappropriate questions. I use cabs and have never had that problem.
This guy definitely has a silence of the lambs pit in his basement
Always say you are married or have a serious boyfriend. Then jabber about your marriage and how amazing they are.
My go to for strangers complimenting my looks was, "Thank you, my husband thinks so too!" That usually puts an end to any further commentary, except for one guy that got offended by me saying that, to which I just kept walking away.
The one time I took an Uber, he was kinda weird and asking many questions about where I was going and all..the thing is, he thought I was 16
ALWAYS say you are taken and have someone waiting for you, always
I have had a Lyft driver find me on FB & IG from just knowing my first name & the city i was dropped off in
I had a lyft driver like this, and it was so uncomfortable.
Being a single father of a 22 year old woman this scares the F out of me.
I would have turned my camera on, blacked out the screen with the side button, and then got on my phone and talked to nobody.... 😮
This is quite literally why I have refused to ride Uber alone since the beginning. Not after all these horror stories especially. Not safe for us.
Smh I had a mover do this to me. Luckily I ended up leaving the apartments they helped me to shortly after. It’s very uncomfortable feeling like a sitting duck in your own home
Had a driver ask me out after a 10 minute ride, but at least he waited until the ride was over. This guy makes my skin crawl.
I would've discreetly called 911. If she asked to get out he might do something to her. Very scary!
How would you “discreetly“ call 911 while he is right next to you
@AdamFeuerauge Sit in the back. It's sad that 3 other people thought that was a hard question. 😂
@@asole100 then tell me how would you call 911 in that situation
@@asole100and then what? You're on the phone with them... What do you say?

Scammers and creeps have made heavy thick accents insufferable as hell.
Poor girl
As many times as I've taken Lyft and Uber I'm glad this has never happened to me
This and worse has happened to me many many times. One guy tried to keep driving off with me while I was on my way to see my husbands nan in aged care
I don’t have a huge circle of women that I communicate with but the younger ones (under 35) tell me that getting hit it during an Uber ride is a regular occurrence.😳
She should sue. Both uber and the guy.
The problem is these men that come from countries that view women as less then crap on the ground think they can do this.
Men that think like this are everywhere, in every country of every ethnicity.
And I think white Western women are extremely whorish because the difference in clothing and the TV shows they see. They actually believe that if you just asked a white woman to sleep with you that she will be ready😂 Awful
Exactly. And yet people will call you racist for pointing out the obvious fact that letting men from wildly sexist countries immigrate to our countries is going to make us less safe, and that these men will target us!
Now that is an epic display of emotional fitness and de escalation tactics on her part, she absolutely did everything right when it comes to keeping the situation calm, great job.
I’m shook: one time in London when I was younger (18), I went with my grandma. In that time, a man propositioned me and my grandmother to a three way, to which we both declined after drinking his entire bottle of fancy wine.
Why the hell did you drink his wine? What if he had put something in it?😱
@@abbiereynolds8016 "they", or rather "he", didn't drink the wine at all. Because there wasn't any wine. Because it's a made up story .
Ladies … be sure the child locks are in the OFF position in any car that you get in.
She continued and laugh , "yes", "will do that", "not tonight", for too long, as a woman will shut him up immediately, no laugh at "I love you", NO WOMAN! Cut the crap and ....be silent, no emotion, no engagement. Works every time.
Wow! I'm my opinion, offering someone three free therapy sessions after dealing with harassment like that speaks VOLUMES of Ubers shadiness. That's ridiculous! Uber, how about you SCREEN & find RESPECTFUL employees so you don't have to offer free therapy sessions!!
This is why my parents won’t let me use ride services at 19 I don’t drive yet so my choices are have my parents,a family member or trusted friend , or i can walk within reason to get to my destination. I also don’t go anywhere alone I always go with someone it’s simply precautionary it’s a scary world out there
Yet Uber denied me employment many years back for an ongoing DISMISSED petty non violent misdemeanor lmfao
Uber is a joke they dont care who they employ! Thay are just waiting on going driverless then all these weirdo's who drive for them wont have a job!! 😂😂
Luckily I live in Phoenix where we have Waymo 👍🏼
This was so uncomfortable to watch. My heart was in my mouth. Glad she is okay.
Guy looking for a 3 way, that's what doublelist is for. I have a friend that does DD and he has 11 felonies 9 of those are first degree. In his defense he is a very good DD driver with over 1800 deliveries in less than a year and a rating of 4.98. He is also near 50 and a decent guy. None of his crimes were violent or against women.
He's absolutely off his rocker.
There's the first problem 19 years old you don't ever give anybody personal information especially to an Uber driver. Also I would have just recorded a little bit of it and then requested him to pull over and get out of the car. And don't call the company get a lawyer and sue.
Dude said he was going to "enjoy" her grandmother😂
I thought he was asking her if she (they) can smoke weed at her house even though she lives with her grandma...
Do you know if an uncut version was posted anywhere?
@@cjb2749where did you ever hear that being said???

I could be wrong but hearing the accent, I think maybe an Indian man. Any conversations I’ve had with Indian men always leads to gross stuff & asking for R-rated stuff and all it takes is me replying with a hello. Now I find it extremely gross when any dude calls me dear bc that’s what they call me when they say the grossest things 😣😒
They're really not helping with the Indian men stereotypes. It also doesn't help they have a serious r*pe issue in India as well. Scary stuff.
The sad thing is Uber could give a shit about people
He's probably a trainee serial killer.
That's why I drive with my own car. In this vehicle there are no creeps and no idiots. Just my hubby and I.
Random woman *HALF HIS AGE* too don’t forget 😭👋🏻
I’m 63 and I have a old suburban to get around in. I thought about doing Uber now that I need tags oil change etc but THIS SCARES THE HELL OUT OF ME!! After hearing the awful stories of women being raped and this is a good exact candidate I think would do just that!! Looks like I’m going for a oil change ugg
Carry girls, carry. We care about you all 😦
This happened in Australia, where nobody is allowed to carry guns, thank god.

Driving Uber was fun for the summer. It helps to be a good looking guy
Wow, that was bold of the weirdo Uber driver 🤯
I think Xeno’s right in allowing passengers to request a male or female driver…I thought one of those companies do currently offer that?! Or maybe they did?!
*_HOWEVER,_* given how Uber operates, anyone wanting a female driver will end up paying an arm & a leg for a surcharge because of the _demand_ for female drivers. Queue the “pink tax” warriors 🤦🏻♀️
I’ve only ever used Uber once…the dude was quiet & so the entire 20-25 minutes was…silent! It’s fine, but it felt strange because he didn’t have the radio on & I didn’t think it was proper to wear my AirPods in that situation 🤷🏻♀️
I have a much more lively time whenever the dealership shuttle drives me wherever I want after I drop my car off for a service.
Earpiece is the best way to avoid conversations, honestly, the quieter the better my ride is.
How did uber come up with the number 3? Was it because they heard the guy ask for a 3 way, and said "yup, that's how many free ones will give her" 😂
This is the result of making everything into a "gig". Instead of professionals that can be somewhat vetted you get the people that have no other options. You get what you pay for. Get a cab if you want professionals.
This is why I drive for a rideshare company where you can request specific drivers. Uber and Lyft allow ANYONE from anywhere to drive. It’s f*cking bs. Bet your drivers like the company I driver for do!
I am female, and married. I drive Uber in Kansas City. Never had really problematic passengers. Guess KC is pretty chill. I definitely wouldn't act like this driver to anyone.
Don’t wait till the ride is over, just get out immediately!
I’ve had it happen to get some pretty scary mess man because you feel like you can’t get out
Uber should offer you CASH, not free therapy sessions! That is ridiculous what you endured. Court action could be taken and they would have to pay up for that nonsense
I remember getting cat called by a dirty old man (man #1) across the street in a truck by a liquor store and i didn't do anything but when it happened again at a park i got the courage to do something and i flipped the guy off (guy#2).
The discomfort levels are so high i had to stop the video. I cant watch it
It's always the foreigners. 🤦🏻
Like if he were to wreck in it I'd be either injured or dead.
its awful women have to put up with these predatory creeps
classic poojeet moment
Always gotta stay with a pole using Ubers
Plot twist, the free Therapist is the Uber Driver
I think uber wouldn't let customers choose what gender driver they want because men would still abuse it to have a female driver. If the did implement something like that it could only be an option for female riders or drivers but men would freak out about that because its not "equal"
You know women have sexual assault other women right
He's a real worry too !!!
It would be great if this ended in "Taser, taser, taser!"
I really truly wish uber would add the feature of male or female preferrence.
That ride may have only been a few minutes, but in that situation it always feels like it's forever....so awkward, uncomfortable, disgusted,,..all.of it.,..a nightmare that you want to end as soon as possible!!!!! This chic did great! This guy is a freak!!!
Uber Driver: "I'm just trying to get my noodle wet."
