My favorite part about the ending is how being able to shoot a portal on the moon is set up earlier. There's a message from Cave Johnson that talks about the white gel and how it's made of crushed up moon rocks and that it's also what's killing him. Portal 2 is seriously a masterpiece
Remember when the line where Wheatley makes fun of Chell for being adopted made it onto the news, and the latter part where Glados defends Chell got cut out? Those were simpler times.
Wheatley betraying the player still breaks my heart to this day.
As someone who is adopted, I absolutely loved the whole "What's wrong with being adopted" part.
I've got a lot of memories attached to it, too bad it's so short.

I've been going through a Portal binge too. I absolutely love this series and it brings so much warmth to my heart seeing that 11 years later people are still showing it just as much love as when it first came out. If you ever VR you should definitely try out Valve's other releases. It gives me hope that one day there may be an official sequel (not counting Lego Dimensions). Love to see the love for this game! Great video!

I may have said this before and I’ll say it again portal 2 has to be one of the funniest video games I’ve ever played and I honestly prefer this more than the original and gave it a lot more world building and backstory behind to it’s definitely one of my favourite video games ever

You completely blew off the amazing and entertaining co-op campaign. Easily 10-20 hours (depending upon your intelligence). I introduced my son to Portal last summer and we had a blast playing through it together on Xbox.

I had the pleasure of playing Portal 1 and 2 back to back earlier this year for the first time. At this point, until I play more games, Portal 2 is the best game I've played so far this year. Portal 1 is great, but Portal 2 is just more Portal, and makes every aspect found in Portal 1 so much better. Portal 1 is fantastic for its time and is still great, but Portal 2 is just better now from the view of someone who didn't play them back in the day. That by no means is supposed to devalue Portal 1, my only issue with Portal 1 is that it's a bit short, but when I bought both Portal 1 and 2 on Steam for $15 and I'd easily pay at least $20 for Portal 2 alone, that's still a really freaking good deal, and Portal 1 is fantastic, I just think Portal 2 is more fantastic. I loved exploring old Aperture, I loved experimenting with the gels, I loved being allies with Wheatley and Potato GLaDOS, I loved the whole escape sequence, I loved everything about Portal 2. Probably the best puzzle game I've ever played, excluding things like Tetris that you can play effectively infinitely. I'm in the camp that Chell's Portal saga is over, if there's a Portal 3, it'd need to be a new character, it'd just feel weird for a third Portal to have Chell again. I want a third Portal game for the gameplay and puzzle solving, absolutely, but Chell's story is over I'd say.
As for Aperture Desk Job, I'm legitimately shocked by the amount of potential lore implications in a simple 30 minute tech demo. Cave Johnson WAS made into an AI? When did that happen? Did the AI ever run out of power? Is it Still Alive (pun intended)? Is this after the newest part of old Aperture? These are the kind of things I'd love to learn about in a Portal 3.
Great video by the way! I'm glad Portal is seeing something of a resurgence with Aperture Desk Job and the Portal Switch port, and this is only helping that resurgence. I got pretty lucky playing the Portal games right before all this happened, and I mean that's not a problem in my book.

I wish Valve just ported the Portal 1 campaign to Portal 2's source engine, sure they're the same engine, but Portal 2's engine is more updated.
If they did that hope its not Half Life Source again.

This is mostly unrelated to the video, but when you’re on the moon, why is the portal so much bigger than normal?
i would guess since the gray portal gel is made of moon rocks - the portal grows bigger or something. that's just me hazarding a guess though
does he use a game of some sort or animation? very unique style id like to know more about
i made a game engine that uses this character in Unity. they're modeled and animated in blender - it's fairly basic to put together but it works for my purposes.
