    I find it amazing how many people have 7-8 octave vocal ranges in this one comment section 😂😂😂
    Edit: Wow, just happened to come back to this comment 2 years later, thanks for the 500+ likes😂😂🙏🔥💯

      maybe they have, but most of them can't use their range.
      remember vocal range is nothing without vocal technique.

      Myth Plays True, but I mean I was told by my music teacher that most people (untrained) have a good 2 octaves of usable range, but some can have more, some less. A lot of people claimed to have "multiple octaves" in the "whistle register", which is rare (which makes me question that heavily lol). All I was saying 😂😂

    • @Celatra
      @Celatra 7 лет назад

      ***** well. I am self thoughg and have pretty nuch 4 octaves of usable range (Eb2-D6) and 6 octaves including whistle (Eb6-C8)
      And 7 including fry (C1-C2)
      Idk, I'd put the standard at 2.5 octaves than rather 2

    • @reek.8505
      @reek.8505 7 лет назад +9

      Myth Plays Okay, that's awesome. All I'm trying to say is that the record for the most amount of octaves is 10 (which only 2 people in history have achieved) and even Mariah Carey and Axl Rose have just above 5 1/2 individually.. Sorry if I sound skeptical, but I'd need some sort of proof from somebody to believe that xD

      ***** i know the octave records.
      But there's 7 billion people on this earth. Approximately 1 % of the population are musicians.
      Out of these, there are still 99% other people, who might not be musicians but they have singing as a hobby.
      Also
      Just go to my second Channel, where i have a live video of me singing from E2-C6
      No fry or whistles tho

      Hi Alex, I checked your recordings. As I could see, as you go low you start gaining more and more strenght in your voice, also you have the baritone weight (quality) in your lows, you go down to Bb2/A2 with quality and loses the quality in a G#2, even though your voice is not developed, a not trained tenor wouldn't sound that baritonal in the lows, and a bass should showcase a lower tessitura and with a darker tone. Also as you go high, your voice becomes thin (with a youthful quality) and you sound velvet/clean in your high notes, you go up to G4 with quality, and you seems start straining in a G#4 (that A4 was forced/screamed). Overall, you have a baritonal (dark) timbre (more in your low and middle notes). You're also a Lyric Baritone (with a nice tone). With training will be able to sing lower and higher without straining.

      Zachary Williams I don't think he has an accent, he just placed his letters differently than yours, but obviously you have to make fun of it because? You completely missed the point of my comment.

      @jakeyjakes_ 7 лет назад +2

      Okay. If we're just listing information about our "socially diagnosed speech and communicatory impediments" we'll start by saying you talk like an ignorant idiot. And my diagnosis came as a result of the fact that you believe gay people- no "fags" have a certain speech pattern this man fits into. You also have another impediment that's the "repeat myself because I can't think of anything better," impediment. You should really see a doctor.

      Some people have told me the same, my speaking voice is kinda bright to make it sounds like a tenor, but I don't know how to hit higher notes (I can reach an A4 or a Bb4 but not sustained) so one friend said I'm a lyric baritone.

    • @bernardog.6451

      +Not Really A Singer a lot of baritones can hit up to B4, when they have a healthy mix. what matters most is vocal color not range.

      +Jose Olegs probably lyric baritone with good belting technique... but I will check him out and I'll tell you later

    • @bernardog.6451
      @bernardog.6451 8 лет назад +2

      +Jose Olegs okay just saw a belting vocal range video of him and I definitely think he is a lyric baritone, but rock singer always use bad belting technique so it's harder to understand. He does have a good note which is a B4 if I remember, when he is singing "I feel it in my bones". That note made me think baritone cause has a very heady mix, a tenor would be able to o go up there with a more chesty mix.

    • @bernardog.6451

  • @AnonymousXtinaSinger

    I definitely would say a Lyric Baritone. Your voice is light, but I wouldnt say light enough to be a tenor. Also, for your age, you would probably have a much lighter tone for a tenor. Watching your covers, you have a nicely developed lower register as well for your age and the color is definitely too dark to be a tenor. Your tone is beautiful btw :)

      Actually, the dude in the video is a low lyric tenor with medium-light towards medium-dark tone, and, vocal height is not the same thing as vocal tone, so tenors can have lighter or darker tones, same as all other voice types, which can also be with both lighter and darker tones - baritone voices are lower and not as loud and not as smooth as tenor voices, and, the higher and lighter the voice is, the louder / the more powerful / the bigger it is, so the higher voices can completely cover the lower voices when singing together in the same register and with the same intensity and with the same technique, and, by the way, falsetto is a vocal technique, which makes the mixed voice sound airier, though there are at least three different types of falsetto techniques, and the one called reinforced falsetto can also give the mixed voice an edgy sound and more power, whereas head voice can only be used in coloratura staccatos above C6 because head voice starts around C6 and is not easy to access, so most ppl never figure out how to access the head voice, and it’s mostly used by a few singers (usually with higher voices) that do operas with coloratura staccatos above C6, for example, Dessay which is a highsoprano with mostly coloratura subtype (and about 25% lyricness) with light and bright tone and Erna Sack which has a highmezzo voice type with mostly lyric subtype with medium-dark towards medium-light tone and Luisa Tetrazzini which is a lowsoprano with mostly lyric subtype (and about 35% coloratura subtype) and a white and light tone, and, I have used head voice more than any other singer as I have the highest voice ever, so I can naturally be above C6 constantly without effort, which is how I learned the differences between head voice (which has a very different sound that is fuller and very harmonic) and mixed voice, but most of the times when ppl think they sing in head voice it is mixed voice used in different ways that make it sound very light and less airy than when using a falsetto technique, as mixed voice can sound very dark and it can also sound very light, depending on the vocal technique used and the intensity and projection, so I can make my mixed voice sound as white as a head voice by using an upper belting technique on my mixed voice too, and I can also do the same with my chest voice, as the upper belting technique can make both the chest voice and the mixed voice reach the lightest tones that can be reached within that particular voice, plus mixed voice can be stretched above C6, and, I can stretch my mixed voice up to a C7 on a really good day and up to a G6 / A6 on most days! I am a singer myself and can immediately tell one’s vocal type and subtype and tone, as I have a great ear for sound / music / voices etc and naturally great observational skills and analytical skills etc! By the way, I am the coloratura sopranino, having the highest and whitest / lightest / brightest voice ever with extreme flexibility and agility, and I have the widest ranges in all vocal registers, and my chest voice alone goes from A0 to A5 (I use the subharmonics vocal technique for the lowest notes and the belting technique for the highest notes, and I can also do most of my lowest notes using a normal humming technique) and my head voice goes from C6 to C8 and my whistle register goes from around the 4th octave or a bit lower to the 10th octave or higher (it goes into the inaudible) tho I don’t usually use whistle register and cannot easily access it on most days, and I can hum around A1 / G1 sometimes on a good day with normal humming technique, though most of the times when doing the lower notes I tend to sing around B1 or A1, and going lower than that requires some warm-up and practice, so I cannot do the notes that are lower than A1 on any day, just on really good days - but I can also do fry, and with fry I can also do A1 to A0, so when I cannot go that low with the subharmonics technique, I can usually still do it using the vocal fry register!

    You're a tenor, your tone is light and your voice gains resonance as you get higher. Your low notes do not compare to Avi of PTX (who is a true bass), and just because you don't know how to belt pass G#4 does not mean it is impossible to do comfortably, you're just not trained to do so. And G#4 is the common breaking point, or passaggio, for tenors. Also, your voice is very agile which is not usually found naturally in lower voices, usually lower voice have to train for that agility and higher voices have it naturally

      I apologize for my low laryngeal placement on my lower notes. I usually can go down to a D2 while maintaining a relatively stable and neutral larynx, but this wasn't a very good day for my lows. My voice that day was more well suited for my belts. Also, I can usually go up a C6 in falsetto/head voice (E6 on a good, good day) so I just wanted to make that clear.

      TayTay BeyNippy Well I am 13, a bass and my lowest note is D1 and highest C4? Heatly resonant falsetto up to Eb5 and scream up to Eb6 but I already caused nodes in my chords for going there so.

    I've been practicing almost every day, trying to increase my range. Right now, it's Bb1-G4 in chest, and up to A5 in falsetto, which is all on my channel. In the morning, I can usually get down to G1 or F#1 and normally, I can sing an Eb2/D2 fortissimo. My speaking voice is usually in the first octave when I try to talk quietly, and in the middle-upper second octave normally. I turned 17 2 months ago and I think my range is better than average. Not anything too amazing, but good overall. My usable range (live or something like that) is D2-E4. Only one other person in my family has a low voice, and he's about 32 years old. We got lucky, I guess.

      Good to see you again buddy. Oh how proud you were of your range. It's wider now, which I bet you're excited about. Chest range is now G#1-Bb4. Falsetto up to C6. In the morning, E1, sometimes D1. But most comfortable is B1-G4. Not only that, but you aren't straining for the lower and higher end anymore and your voice doesn't crack. The progress is real 😭

    Hi. Your chest voice and mixed voice is quite undeveloped in terms of connection and projection for tenor, you can hear the breathy quality notes below and above your supported range. Your head register is way more developed compared to the rest of voice. Your E5/F5s are good. You have support actually, around E3/F3 - Eb4/E4 - E5/F5(with head voice) Also, eliminate your nasality. Great video.

    Your voice is light and clean. I adore that! When I was an adolescent, I was able to hit whistle register but could in no way go as low as you can. Now I've lost my entire whistle and am able to dip to Eb2, but my G5 is airy and raspy. You're wonderful especially in that each note of yours sounds clean.

    Hey dude, nice! Haha I wish I had some of those high notes you got there... anything above a D4 gets very very high for me haha. (This is coming from a bass however) if you start actively doing head voice to falsetto and head voice to full voice exercises, you will absolutely be an awesome tenor! Making that switch between your registers more seamless is the goal! (Yes once again I’m a bass haha) but even I practice that stuff! Wish you luck on developing that voice of yours

    for Know Your Voice Type, Just see your Tessitura, for example You look Tenor.. And Tenors color Voice start at C3. You can see the diference singing a Vowel on C3 and then Go down to B2 or A2. the Color Voice change Cuz the Tenor turn into Strohbass register below B2. Pay attention and You will see! your Voice will get Darker in thats points, if it does ... You Are Tenor... And.. Baritones Tessitura and Color Voice start at G2 and Bass I think at D2 or C2 Not Remember.

    I can get down to an F2 (If forced, then E2) and belt up to a A4 with comfort. Forcing it a little gets me to a C#5 and sometimes D5. Rarely, when my voice is "on fire" I belt an E5. The fifth octave comes out strained no matter what. Head voice would vary on my voice's condition. Sometimes I have a funny crack when switching to hv. I get to an F#5-G5 with ease (I usually try to be quiet so that should have something to do) but my head voice ends at E6 (strained, flat and sometimes sharp, I don't have a good control of my voice and sometimes goes higher, like an F6 that I tried for 'praying' but I don't count it.)
    Bout my whistle, I've been trying to find out how high it is with an auto-tuner (It's not the same) and surprisingly, my whistle goes from F6 to C#8. (When I crack on falsetto, sometimes it switches to the whistle register)
    I have complete control over the 3th and 4th octave when belting and a half of the 2th. On head voice my lowest note is C3. My vocal range is hard to explain but anyway, I may upload a video about it c:
    I just wanted to share it cuz im really excited of finally finding out about it. I just don't know what type of voice I have... Can someone tell me maybe?

    My belts are comfortable until C5, however when fully warmed up I can do A5s. My highest vibrato belt is F5.
    Falsetto can reach F6
    After that I can whistle up until G6
    And do these weird squeaks up until C8

    Your vocal class depends on where your vocal passagio is located which for you it seemed like you started belting around F to F# which is definitely a tenor passagio. I suggest trying to find your actual head voice instead of your falsetto, makes a world of difference. You do have a very very nice quality in your voice though!!!

      How high or low your Vocal set is not determined by *the density or weight of your voice* but by your *passagio* .
      U are still soprano even though your voice is big and heavy (Patti Labelle) . And u are still a mezzo even though your voice is thin and light (Miley Cyrus).

    It's not so easy. You can be high baritone or low tenor. I don't know actually, but you're young, things can change when you'll grow. And you have decent controllable voice on all your range). I have almost the same range as you, but haven't such strong belts yet, only up to F4 right now. I can squeak out mixed C5, it's not hurt, but it's not my comfortable note at all. And my lows isn't so full-sounded like yours, but close to that. I'm something like lyric baritone/dramatic tenor too. But I'm almost 20, so it's a bit different, my voice seems to be more steady now, I think it won't change anymore, just slightly maybe.

    Btw I wouldn’t rely on tuner apps since a lot of them are used for pick notes from an instrument not the human voice. Determining your voice type is not be your range but tessitura. The tessitura is sweet spot where you sound and feel the most comfortable. I would say your tessitura lies between A2 and D4, where a baritone voice sits. An overall problem with your voice is you push your voice as you get higher which makes the voice sound airy and weak. You also lack diaphragmatic support, mixing, control pitch and a relaxed jaw. Even though your low notes are unsupported, they are still weighty and full. Looking at tessitura and weighty lows, you’re clearly a lyric baritone.

      Not to be argumentative or anything but he don't sound like a baritone at all to me cuz his voice is light pretty much all throughout his range. Baritones usually have heavy voices. Leggiero tenor I'd say, or lyric spinto, it sounds like you flip to head voice at around G4/G#4 but talk around an D3/E3/F3 and a bunch of leggiero tenors have a lower extension, but lyric spintos have a more baritonal facility in the lower range too, also they say leggiero tenors tend to have a range from the bass clef to the treble clef, or F2 to F5, which might explain why you can go an extra semitone or two on either ends of your range. :)
    although I say this, I'm a dramatic or spinto tenor myself (not sure which), I talk around a C3/D3/E3, and my range is basically F2 - F/G4 in chest/belt and G4 - F5 in head voice, so I'm not sure if range really counts a lot of the time man, more about timbre I've found, and fundamental speaking frequency. :)
    Also a lot of people are commenting lyric baritone, it could be true, check out Anthony kiedis from red hot chilli peppers he has a similar sounding voice but I feel like his is slightly heavier in weight and darker myself. :)

    voice teacher here, you’re definitely a tenor. It’s clear as day when you start singing in the 4th octave (through the passaggio area) where you’re not even opening your mouth very much because you don’t need to as a tenor, a baritone would have to drop the jaw more and get more optimal vocal tract shaping to sing through these notes efficiently
