Hey guys! I was unable to resist a trip to the GCFCE this week to check out this fantastic, all-original 1975 Dodge D100 with only 22000 miles on it! One owner, until Agent 100013 bought it last week, and Agent 7678 pestered him relentlessly until he would sell it to him! We also unloaded the 1972 Plymouth Fury Sport Suburban, and then, the long-overdue conclusion of Agent 7889's Rocky-Mountain Saab-Salvage mission, featuring a look at some pretty impressive Volkswagens!

Awesome D100! Incredible find. It would have been a tragedy if someone sent it to the crusher.
On the Fury wagon, I'm curious if you pulled the plugs out before trying to turn it over? I wonder if you're not fighting a hydro lock issue with a cylinder full of oil.

That D 100 is a unicorn, they rusted out even in the Middle East. I grew up in Israel and at one point those were the most popular pickup on the market due to being cheaper than the rest (they were assembled locally by Automotive Industries of Upper Nazareth so were subject to lesser tax and custom duty than the fully imported GM/Ford equivalents) but they're nowadays practically extinct. Oh: ours were 90% slant six equipped and did not even have chrome parts. You could have had any color you wanted as long as it was light blue or light yellow.

You have enough great friends to help out. Nice Saab story. I love those cars. Thanks for the awesome entertainment. Cheers!

Tell Steven I think he's got me beat for hauling, I love the practicality of this crazy bunch but a fully packed Econoline 3 on the column, hauling a trailer with a Saab in it over mountains, WHEW, my biggest lack of good judgement was towing a vw bus with a pinto wagon for a 2 hour drive, it was a 67 square louvre windows, 12 volt, camper top, I was pulling in the pinto, my buddy was behind in the bus on a tow chain, popping the clutch to see if it would catch, we did a few crazy things but no genny creme till we got it home, we both inspired each other to push a bit back then both still in HS, but up for adventure, especially if it meant our favorite cars, or cheap beaters

That D100 is going to be a real beauty when it has completed its Level II (clay bar & polish) tidy. Maybe the GCFCE will find a wreck with a running big block engine, and that could be how the Fury Sport Suburban is running again. And another vote for the very cool long shadow silhouette of the Model T as it was rolling along. And Steven's video was very entertaining and well done. The Renault will look even better with the new rims. And the opening model car carnage & wreckage sequence seemed to focus on a Dodge A100 van. Could it be that a real one will show up at the CWM compound or the GCFCE?

What an amazing find in that D100 pickup! What's so unusual is it sat outside among trees for so long and still undamaged and remarkably preserved. Definitely check back often with him for the clean-out/clean-up and first start! What a "time warp" experience. And the Saab procurement trip was most interesting, seeing the mountain climb of the encumbered van. Loved seeing those pristine classic VWs. Got my first license in my dad's new 62 Karman Ghia. Did the heart good to see one in such beautiful shape. The green VW beetle is the same color of my 56 oval window I exterior restored about 82 and sold to a local collector. It's still out in the county somewhere. Can't beat old VWs for simplicity. And era never to be seen again. Need to see the R5 with all the "performance" parts added on! My first inclination about your 72 Plymouth Sport Suburban is to do some engine "surgery" to find out just why it's stuck. If it's going to sit the Winter, just pour more Mystery Oil in all cylinders, fill them up and let them soak. Maybe do a quick bore scope view to make sure none are full of water and let the oil soak. Pull the heads if necessary and see what's got her locked up. More soaking the Winter just might convince her to loosen up and allow you to keep her original. Always looking forward to next week.😉👍

Hey, Scott! another great episode on Saturday! My belated response is due to vaccine reactions 'nuff said. Loved the T ride w/silhouette T caused shadows running along an autumnal farm-scape followed by a short but sweet off-road adventure! And OMG that base Dodge in untrammeled 22,000 mile nick was an eye popping mind blower! My suggestion for tree branch extrication would be be riddling it with a small diameter hole saw until you could collapse it for extraction. I must be among the sad bastards 'cause I've always loved base model vehicles. My mom bought a brand new 62 two dr base slant 6 Plymouth w/am only radio and nothing ever wore out, despite my little brother street racing the sucker on windy country roads after swapping in heavy Dodge torsion + antisway bars! Those slants hurt Chrysler because they never broke down! So we return to the digs to uneventfully unload the 72 Sport Suburban Fury. (If you can find one throw a 440 with a six-pack into that little honey)! Though she won't metaphorically fly like the T but, she should be pretty swift! Those optional step plates and grab handles might have been added to aid and abet loading and unloading the cargo area? Just a thought. Tom was all over the Fury wagon unload and even stowed the ramps! Good to have neighbors like him! OK plenty of action but it ain't over yet. Steven has to climb the Rockies to rescue a 68 Saab 2 stroke retro-fit a somewhat weight reduced but pretty solid unit. The climb back east taxed the Ford 6 but he must have a 220 'cause a 300 would have pulled those climbs in 3rd! Made it nevertheless with a side trip visit with Russ + Don to view some very cherry VWs! But it still ain't over. Steven stopped in Vancouver (one of my fav cities) to pick bits up from Bruce who slipped in some treasures for the R5!! Rear window wiper! Sport wheels! fresh-air scoop! bonnet latch! Holy Moses sandals! Once again Imogene + Sid are being challenged! You and the agents produced one hell-of-a Show of Shows this week! Thanks!

Don't recall ever seeing a Sport Suburban. That front end is impressive and aggressive. A big block is what it needs. Western Canada is so gigantically beautiful. I envy Steven and thanks for recording your adventure! I'm Saab ignorant, but that car looks like a fine candidate for restoration. This is a 10 out of 10 presentation.

Hi there! I really enjoyed the shadow shots of the T going along the road! That is a nice truck Dan added to his fleet, another time capsule. Very nice segue to Steven's Saab adventure. I'm glad the noisy bearing didn't grenade while the van was dragging all that tonnage. I had an input bearing fail in a Saginaw 3 speed in a rusty C10 I had once, not a fun repair. Nice score with the Le Misc box & wheels! Yes, be patient on sorting out the engine for the wagon. I'm sure a low miles 440 & 727 could be found in a worthless RV for less than scrap price. Take care!

A motorhome engine and transmission? Now that's thinkin'! RVs don't usually have high miles accumulated, and the bodies and everything attached to them go downhill steadily when not used/maintained, which is common.

Cheers Scott, Frankers and the Agents.- very entertaining installment! The D100 is sick - can’t wait to see it after a Level 3 Tidy! That drive up the Rockies in the ever slowing Econoline gave me flashbacks of my own foot to the floor drive thru Death Valley in a rented Chevette many years ago…. You’ve got a C Body conundrum - if I had to choose between a running, plated ‘72 Sport Suburban or a Newport in the same condition I’d take the wagon hands down. That said, I don’t think I could sacrifice the plated Newport to get the Suburban road worthy; a trashed 300 or Imperial with a 440 will turn up. Until next week, all the best from Massachusetts!

That red Dodge is REALLY cherry! One helluva catch; it is really gonna shine up beautifully. The '72 Plymouth? I like your wait-and-see-what-develops approach, as your team always seems to come up with excellent solutions. What I do not wish to see is perfectly running cars get cannibalized for another - keep your fleet intact. NICE collection of VW's! That pickup was the belle of the episode ball!!! Cheers!

    Another fantastic video Scott!
The lengths you and the Agents go to to save yet another one from the crusher!
Saving the 75 Dodge pickup. Kyle and the boys knocked it out of the park!
Steven going up the mountain, loaded to the gills. The 300 may have been slow, but ,it made it!
Bruce coming through in the clutch. Kool stuff!
You and Dean at the end. To much!
What a way to end a Saturday after noon!

Most likely it was a farm truck from new and only driven into town once in awhile. Most of those kind of trucks get pressed into regular service by other family members at some point but this one just got parked instead. Amazing condition for something that's been outside most of its life.

Dan, a slant six and a 4 speed, I have truck envy, something that cleans up ok and not having to see if it's got a muffler or place to hold it, seriously everything from a dependable base vehicle of it's day and all you need, except for a radio, I always had an am/fm cassette player, usually saved from the last vehicle, I do mostly Fords now and keep the factory cd players, nothing like a ranger 4cy 5spd, rubber floor cover and no power steering, my swore someone took it out, but looking from underneath it never was there, it steers easy over 5mph, I put 80,000 on it and still have it, it's waiting for replacement clutch and transmission, I think the synchros went out and I've got another ranger donor waiting, spring and summer fun. Take care of it, use it and enjoy it, also for the blk that isn't rust, use cleanser, a good way to get out the deeper stuff

Hi Scott,,,good score on the wagon. It be a shame to use the motor out of a driving car. I found two old motorhomes with running 440's, one at auction for $250 & the other one the owner drove to my place i gave him $500. Maybe look for old campers for a engine, good luck

Such superb visuals; Frankers’ introductory prance; the T’s road shadow that was the stuff of dream sequence; and the continuing magnificence of Western Canada’s landscape as captured by Stephen on his heroic Saab excursion. Thank you & I vote for the 440 drop into the Suburban wagon, providing its practical and economically feasible with available time/loonie resources.😅

I had a old truck like that years ago but was a old worn out state highway model. It was originally yellow in color with a light blue on top, with a three on the tree. The shifter linkage was worn out, but I still got a lot of good out of it. It had a stop sign for a floor pan... Lots of good memories. Dan will love the old red beast for sure.

Scott, I have no doubt that you have motivated a decent number of people to take on some rather daunting projects.I Before viewing this channel, I did bodywork out of necessity. I've now learned to enjoy it (and have zero idea how I can lol)! Excellent job. I do vintage BMW repair/restoration professionally, so enjoyed the e30 content from a couple of weeks ago as well :) (I have a couple of the non-M variety)

Unbelievable find! look at the condition of those floor pedals holy shit my mind is blown away! amazing! truly amazing. know wonder their so excited, and rightly so. Wow! 72 Plymouth you definitely got lots of good descent parts to work with there, from what you've shown, and yeah definitely go with a big block. Well looks like Russ and Don has set the perfect example of what can be obtained with just a little bit of passion, all you need is a small garage and willingness, and a bit of labor, all things are possible. That's one nice Saab they did a good job on that restoration by the looks of it. And they have a really nice, nice, little collection.

72 Fury are so rare. Even if you swap engines you can revert it later. I' d save every remaining full size cars (even the Newport ) because they pretty much all disapeared, and will not be produced again, and that what makes their so great value, also with their confortable ride, space, look, reliability, endurance, ease of repair, huge comodding potential, etc ...

Incredible; finally got time to watch this, was interesting seeing Stephen flog that poor van over the Coq, recognized exactly where he was and how much fun that hill is, I'm really surprised that poor van actually made it. The Electra doesn't even break a sweat on those sections and it would easily out accelerate the Eurotrash that wanted to race, it accelerates easily going up hill, but they'd catch me in the corners though, but it makes for a fun drive when you have the power, - must be hairy when you don't. That pickup is incredible; - can't wait to see the cleaned up and running product, a great score for sure, proves that they're still "out there" if you have time to look. Great VW collection, there are some neat cars on the Island. Also looking forward to the "raced-out" Renault; - for something that was virtually ignored back in the day, those are neat cars!

I just realized that Renault has only 3 lug nuts per wheel, wow.
Reminds me of an old joke: A man got a flat tire next to an insane asylum and while changing his tire out, he accidentally stepped on the wheel cover with his lug nuts in it and they went flying off over the embankment never to be seen again. A patient of the asylum was watching all of this from over the wall and heard the man mutter, "Now what am I going to do?" The patient spoke up saying "Why don't you take a lug nut from the other three wheels and that will get you on the road again."........The driver says "Gosh, that's a great idea, why are you even in this place anyway?".....The patient replied, "I may be crazy but I'm not stupid."

I am catching up on the vids, Scott, so forgive me…..love the Sport Suburban! I’d sacrifice the Newport driveline! I grew up in a 3 row ‘72 T&C that my mom had! Green, wood, on green interior! I used to get sick in that 3rd row facing backwards! She traded it in on a new ‘76 Toyota Corona wagon during the gas crisis!
