Wow! When you get a positive reaction from Tom right at the start, you know you've done an outstanding job! Great to see the back story of the car and hope there's more to come such as the pictures that haven't been found yet. Great job Scott to get the stamp of approval from the family of the original owner. It doesn't get any better than this.
As a collector of antiques, the best pieces are the ones that have a back story. It's so great to hear these nice people tell stories about the car. it's just so eye catching with its space-age design. You want to drive it into your den and just sit and look at it like a work of art!
From horse paddock to finished product, what a feckin great journey. To get input from the family that originally owned the car while riding in it is just beyond awesome.
Cars like this are sacred totems. They are a store of memories of events and people long gone. And a window back in time. And it's the integrity of the sympathetic restoration, not recreation that make it authentic real and ultimately really valuable. It's not about just making a new thing. Jolly well done Scott. This is so wonderful for everyone.
Thank you Scott , this Video was the Cherry on top of the build and you didn't disappoint , listening to Sharon and Kevin tell stories about this beautiful car really brings the build full circle and I look forward to seeing old pictures of this car displayed with the car , you did a great job and you have it all on Video to prove every step of the way , there was a lot of us that thought you were crazy to take it on and that was half the fun watching you prove us wrong by fixing everything you could and not buying every piece , it was a hell of a job and you knew you could do it and never gave up , Cheers and if I could I would give you 10 thumbs up , well done
Did a rotisserie restoration on a 67 chevy 2 I bought off of the original owner. She owned it for 40 years. The woman bought it new in California and moved to Canada because her current boyfriend was dodging the draft. I was emailing photos of the restoration and the finished product while we were talking on the phone and she said she was happy crying. She loved it. Weird fact, her name was Sharon as well.
Sharon said she learned to drive in the driveway with that car and her squeals of delight as she remembered oddities of this particular car, I think you made her very happy to see daddies car the way she remembered it and nothing like the way it was when you got it.
Just a wonderful episode, Thank you Scott for all the great content and everyone of the guys involved. I'm a wrencher of 44 yrs, so this stuff means a lot to me.
What a swell reunion! A reminder of how important it is to take the kids out for road trips while we still can. Even the most modest, utilitarian family car becomes a sort of marker, a reference point in time and on it we pin our fondest memories.
Such a heart-warming reaction from Sharon and her stories about the car are priceless. Sometimes non-car people have a hard time grasping the magnitude of a project like this and Scott's modesty is off the charts. But listen to Tom's comments, "He did it inside and out... he did all the upholstery, headliner, *everything*... totally redone." When guys like Tom are impressed, you know you've succeeded.
Sat in hospital for chemotherapy today and just watched your video, cheered me up no end. Keep up the great work Scott, looking forward to your next project.

She was keen to go for a ride judging by the immediate answer to your invitation. It sounds so good and well dialled in. I wish you many years of touring pleasure. Would love to see a cold war motors car show and the agents bring along their favourite. There is quite a collection between you all now.
Hats off to you and the incredible skill you have for classic car restoration. I love all cars from the 50's & 60's, have owned several, and have pampered all of them. And while I don't doubt there are car enthusiasts who treat their classics as well as I do, I seriously doubt anyone could treat them better. Having said that, I can only watch in awe when I see what someone with your talent can do - literally bring them back to life, often times in better-than-factory condition. I wish I had your knowledge and ability. Thank you for sharing your 60 Fury's journey.
When I was a kid in the 60s and 70s, I recall us cruising Southern California freeways and cars like this. It was like living The Jetsons. What a great time that was.
Gee Scott-what a real treat of Joy you brought to that family. What a lovely gester!! All of us who watched your YEARS of labor and your agents help also would like to thank the PATRONS who helped you buy some work time. God loves you all! Me, I look foward to all your sharing on the videos and they give me total joy! Thanks again Scott. Head rubs for the "Frankers" Rich
The history is what I find really interesting in these old things, who owned them, where they lived etc etc. I doubt that many people would have got that car back on the road 👍
This might be the best Fury episode yet; Sharon was amazed, and Kevin couldn't take his eyes off of it. I'm sure it was incredibly satisfying for them to see the car in this state.
I'll never tire of seeing that '60 Fury. Just a fantastic job and what a car! It's a great color with all the right options. The nice lady was even prepared wearing a hat to sit in the back seat of a "sky-high" rear window equipped Plymouth! Great job!
All the work, the frustration, the time, the perseverance; all was worth it to bring back memories while making the new dream come true. I'm smiling along and enjoying this. Well done to you and everyone that helped along the way. This is what everything about the sickness is about.
Though Kevin and his mom were happy to see it restored, I guarantee the memories you preserved by restoring the Fury can’t be measured in time or dollars spent.
That`s what it`s all about , all the work we put in to our classic cars . Joy , smiles per miles , to us and others . In this case , all around the world I guess . I`m smiling .
I want to take a moment to expand on what we witnessed here over the years. Scott and friends but mostly single-handedly and ALOT of beer has restored this car piece by piece. And while doing so has also put together and got roadworthy a model T, numerous shat boxes and a few french cars (which probably should’ve taken four years by the average person.) not to mention all of the small repairs he’s done for work and for friends. I commend you Scott well done sir.
It steers really nice… as Scott steers it with not just 1 hand, but by holding the steering wheel between his thumb and the side of his index finger… I LOVE HOW EASY THE OLD ONES WERE TO DRIVE. Scott, you did an AMAZING job on rebuilding this Fury to its original magnificently beautiful glory. My hat is off to you Scott. (I would say my Tuke is off to you but I’m not sure how to spell it…lol.) It was really a very special heart warming episode seeing the family’s reaction to seeing the completed car and to see how proud Tom was with how well it came out. His response was a combination of pride and well earned respect. While I don’t personally know him or any of the crew, from watching each video that’s been posted, this level of pride and respect from Tom and having it so publicly shown coming from him, I would say is a very rare honor.
What a fantastic reunion. You and the Fury sure did bring back some great memories for the family. Proud that Tom was there and he didn't cuss once. Great job Scott.
I'm too much a fatalistic hosebag, can't say I have any range of vocabulary to accurately describe rare moments of genuine, pleasant feelings. So, uh... this rules, man. Seriously. Not too often you can chuff a sweet old lady like that.
Well I'm sure they had the greatest time on memory row in their old family friend. Camping as a kid we had the old canvas tents that smelled as they warmed in the sun. Coleman sleeping bags and stove plus ice chest were stowed away in the trunk as we headed to the mountains for the weekend. Thanks for taking us back for the moment in time, I truly miss my dad and grandpa camping on my first adventure with them. Special times.
Really this is two cars; the floorpan on the original?? was RUSTED out, the other car had a Good floorpan but above that it was rusted out so Scott made one good one out of two, extremely well done HUGE amount of work and effort, time patience and SKILL, Scott is very VERY talented SKILLED he painted this car did ALL the metal work!!!!!!!! 👍👍👍👍
Great job reuniting this family with their old memories!! The fact the grandson and his dad kept the car from being posted out is amazing!! Kudos to you, Scott!!
Great and heartwarming episode. You could tell that they were pleased with the outcome. Credit to Kevin for his camera work on the drive and getting his mum in the frame when she was reminiscing. It was great to hear them chatting. I don't think I've heard Tom speak for that long without swearing before.
This is my idea of honoring the story of a vehicle. I hope to do the same thing with my 60 Buick LeSabre one day!! Job well done Scott and the agents!!
@@raymondkunkel9615 mine is actually an old 4 door. Which wasn't my first choice but it was actually given to me by my old driller from the last rig I worked on. Right after the doctors gave him bad news he called me and told me to get my butt to Wyoming and load this car up and that's an order. So I'm hoping to at least get it shined up and on the road and maybe take him for a trip across Wyoming one day.
I must say it again,Outstanding job on the Fury!!! I love that car! Kevin&Sharon seem to be decent people with lots of stories about the car.It would be great if they could find pictures of the car throughout the years and send you copies of it... Tom actually did seem proud about the Fury when talking to them about it as well, great friend to have! I just wish Dean was in the car with you for the ride, after he had some wobbly pops and smoke he would have been funny(for us at least)!! I know,I know...Sorry!
Fantastic to see the owners daughter and grandson reliving their memories. It kind of endorses the importance of inanimate objects in our lives. Along with music they take us back in time to what we were doing then! Great to see and I'm looking forward to receiving my T shirt! Best wishes from the UK 🇬🇧
Those people are cool. They presented some nice stories. It would be super to ride in something that you drove in that was part of your learning as well 50 years later! Enjoyed it very much. Looking forward to Saturday!
I remember when you first revealed your plans for this car I thought “Madness! Absolute madness! Who in their right mind would attempt that?” Well, evidently you were more of a visionary, Scott. Maybe a MAD visionary.
Well that was fun. Sharon was the star of that video with her stories and enthusiasm about the car. I appreciate Kevins efforts to try and keep the old girl together and smart enough to put the hubcaps away for safe keeping. Nice video Scott. 👍
It's a great thing you've done, Scott. I can relate on many different levels. When I was delivered new, I came home from the hospital in a '61 Studebaker Lark. That car was the family car during the early years of my childhood, and later became kind of a family heirloom yard car which was more or less mine to play with as a kid (completely non-operable and full of wasps, so you might say the play value was limited but it was hard to keep me out of it). When we moved out of state, the Lark was sold to a local and towed away, and that was that. Until several years later, when I got a letter from my grandma containing photos of that very same Lark, fully restored, in the parking lot of her local grocery store. My grandpa had seen it there, struck up a conversation with the owner, and related that his son had used to own one just like it. Turns out he was the guy who bought it from my dad. You know how it goes. Seeing Sharon get to rediscover her dad's car is something special in a way that I can find very personally relatable. Thumbs up brother!
After all the hard work the payoff was Sharon's reaction and appreciation. Cars are evocative things, a part of a family's history. I think as the days and weeks pass she will have a ton ton of recollections of the 60's and her people that are gone. It's your car car but their history. Congratulations Scott. If you do nothing else for rest of your life, on this day you got to ring the bell!
What a great day for you and the family, I enjoyed everything about this build and I can proudly say that I actually ordered a shirt and will wear it with pride..and just to let you know I am now cancer free and will have my final surgery on the 19th of October to piece me back together so that is great news for myself. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful story via RUclips as it was and still is one of the highlights of my week and has helped me through my battle with cancer. I truly believe that it helped me deal with all the pain and suffering that I have endured through laughter and watching all you guys basically fucking around and alleged beer drinking and smoking of the weeds.. I may or may not have participated in the latter part 🤔 when watching.. Thank goodness for all the fun you have provided me.. I truly appreciate it...say hello to the menace for me and have a great day.
Hey Mark! Very kind of you to say so. We are happy to hear you are on the mend and honoured that we could provide a few laughs during the worst of it. All the best from me and the Menace and the Agents!
Scott: You get it. I am not sure what it is. I suppose it is kind of a zen thing. Whatever the case, you get it. Thank you for being on planet earth. It is a pleasure to share it with you.
Well Scott.... this was a realy great and important video in the "life" of this car. Putting finishing touches on the car was important but having Sharon and Kevin go for a ride with you was the best of all. Good on you, Scott. As the Brits might say.. Well done, that man. And not hearing Tom cuss on camera was really a hoot! Joe
Some way to get some smiles and get a little background information on the car at the same time ! It looked like they had a blast. Her noticing the dealer tag on the bootlid was perfect. Another two people enjoying the fruits of your labour. Here's to many more years enjoying the Fury.
Really enjoyed this video and what you did for the previous owner's family is what a big part of this car hobby is all about, Thanks for your hard work and good will!
Scott, Loved the fact that Sharon and Kevin got to see and ride in the finished 1960 Fury! Loved their stories about the car and that they are still looking for parts for you. I loved the fact that Kevin brought over the original hubcaps, that he followed you videos on the splice and restoration, and his enthusiasm. I also loved Sharon's comment about seeing the original dealer tag on the trunk lid. Looked like the perfect day, time of year, and the fall leaves making the visit awesome! Thanks for a great ride on the Fury project! Hope you continue to do more with the car and drive it. Enjoy it! :)! All I can say about the finished car is, "Well Done!" :)! George from Maine
You are Truly a master at Restoration i Grew up with my Dad in the car Restoration biesness he was master mechanic and Fabercator i would say only 5 out of 10 men could do what you have done for this furry and only a few would want to your skills love for this car is amazing
This project has been special to me too. My grandparents had a 4 door 1960 Fury, same color, & I sure remember the weirdness... the fins & the speedometer... that slightly wavy trim piece at the base of the speedometer, theirs was exactly the same.
What a blast this video was, so cool to be able to drive the people around in this minty car that have all kinds of memories just sitting in those seats, getting to their destinations they remember doing the things they did. All the different operators of the Fury over the years. The Agency Won👏🍻
You've managed to capture one of the best reasons of why we bring back old clapped out cars. Letting people reminisce about days gone bye, even if it's not the exact car but one like it. It's a really special treat if you can do it with the exact car. Hats off to Scott and the agents for letting us in on this special moment.
Tom was looking on like a proud father saying his son did something really cool I think Tom must think a lot of you Scott The Way We all do thank you for sharing this car with us your skill is Simply Amazing
Loved seeing this video with Kevin and Sharon reacting to the Fury, and the ride in the car with the stories they had to share about it. Seeing her put the vanity mirror on the visor and putting on lipstick was a nice touch! The Fury has come such a long way, and it is now a masterpiece that showcases your brilliant talents!

bong is always ready though
whery cool nice job thehey loved it .
She was keen to go for a ride judging by the immediate answer to your invitation. It sounds so good and well dialled in. I wish you many years of touring pleasure. Would love to see a cold war motors car show and the agents bring along their favourite. There is quite a collection between you all now.
That was so heart warming.
Just goes to show what great guys Scott and the boys are even though they are a bunch of chuckleheads.
Thank you for sharing your 60 Fury's journey.
what a sweet way to show off the car. ✅👍😎☮️❤️
I’ve wait for this day for four years🎉😊
When I was a kid in the 60s and 70s, I recall us cruising Southern California freeways and cars like this.
How wonderful to have history riding in the car? 👍😊👍
Well done Scott perfect finish to the '60 with original family stories of the car
Though Kevin and his mom were happy to see it restored, I guarantee the memories you preserved by restoring the Fury can’t be measured in time or dollars spent.
Great stuff. Tom is like a proud Dad. Hell, everyone here is proud too!
What a treat. Not only for the daughter and grandson but for us as well. Thank you Scott.
beautiful story. so wholesome. this is humanity at its finest.
Those beautiful tailfins , so intoxication, so space age. Another Virgil Exner creation to feast the eyes, God bless him 🙏 😊❤.
The response from the family makes it all worth while on another level.
So nice of you to take them out in it.
I could tell how much Sharon enjoyed it.
What real treat for Sharon and Kevin
Is your 60 buick a 2 door had top .I have a 60 buick lesabre also it's on you tube under 1960 buick start up maroon and white
@@raymondkunkel9615 WOW! Just went and checked out your video! What an awesome car!! Well done my friend!!
@@nolanbrown84 well nothing wrong with a 4 door .I really want a 4 door hardtop flatop
@@nolanbrown84 thank you it was a mess when I got it. Just had her out yesterday with the wife . The car gets thmbs up where ever I go
Awesome. Good on you for doing that I am sure they really enjoyed it. Waiting for finishing touches, radio, whip antennas etc.
Very enjoyable priceless video! Not only did I hit the like button, I saved the video in my favorites.
Now how cool is this…?
And great to see it on the road on a sunny day…😊
Great job Scott…!!!
Very cool you showing the original owners daughter her father's car she seems genuinely excited to see it. Probably floods her mind with memories
That's much too mild. A lunatic visionary would be more accurate. But craziness can sometimes, eventually, be rewarding it would seem.
Well that was fun. Sharon was the star of that video with her stories and enthusiasm about the car. I appreciate Kevins efforts to try and keep the old girl together and smart enough to put the hubcaps away for safe keeping. Nice video Scott. 👍
I really think Jay Leno, Dennis Guage or someone with a TV show needs to get this story out. It's truly a wonderful story from start to finish!
Wow Scott you just created the new book of history on the fury, what a treat for the original family owners 👏 🙌 👌 😀 👍🏻
Three cheers for Scott and taking the siblings of the origional owner of the 1960 Plymouth Fury for a ride and bring back old memories! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Pretty awesome that the original family got to see the finished product. What a piece of work! Cheers!
It was so touching to here her say, "One of the best days ever."
GREAT job Scott there is not to many off those around and you did a wonderful job of bring the old girl back to life !!!!
Best story on RUclips! Wonderful journey with you and this amazing car!
You are Truly a master at Restoration i Grew up with my Dad in the car Restoration biesness he was master mechanic and Fabercator i would say only 5 out of 10 men could do what you have done for this furry and only a few would want to your skills love for this car is amazing
So great that you showed it to them!!
Scott you have out done yourself. The Fury is a Time Machine.
This project has been special to me too. My grandparents had a 4 door 1960 Fury, same color, & I sure remember the weirdness... the fins & the speedometer... that slightly wavy trim piece at the base of the speedometer, theirs was exactly the same.
This made me very happy. The car is amazing, the humanity is heartwarming. An impressive job that deserves a round of applause.
What a blast this video was, so cool to be able to drive the people around in this minty car that have all kinds of memories just sitting in those seats, getting to their destinations they remember doing the things they did. All the different operators of the Fury over the years. The Agency Won👏🍻
The best way to celebrate this wonderful car and the incredible work that went into getting her back on the road.
Total "icing on the cake" video, just great. Plus, the Fury looks so good out in the sunlight. Nice one!!
A true survivor, of a car, that came back from the dead, and maybe a couple of new Agents.
You've managed to capture one of the best reasons of why we bring back old clapped out cars. Letting people reminisce about days gone bye, even if it's not the exact car but one like it. It's a really special treat if you can do it with the exact car. Hats off to Scott and the agents for letting us in on this special moment.
Simply magnificent.
100 times better than when it rolled off the assembly line in 59 or 60 when it was built . awesome Scott
Pretty cool Scott taking the family out in the car.
