Hi guys! Thanks for tuning in... This week Bunny and I are going to start the reassembly of the 1959 Buick Dynaflow transmission! There sure are lots of pieces, haha... Later, I'll spin by Laura's to check out a new toy, and then I'll keep at the 1960 Impala deck lid. Finally, We're back at Jim's to keep moving on the 1956 Continenetal Mark II project! Thanks to everyone who subscribed to our channel here, and thanks also for all of your "likes" and comments! Thanks to our Patrons, I deleted 19 ad breaks from today's video! Please feel free to check out our Patreon page at : www.Patreon.com/coldwarmotors where we have extra videos and pictures and a bunch of people hanging out and bs-ing about cars! Another great episode to lift the spirits. The biggest thing I learned this week from the show was.. I'm never...ever... opening up an auto transmission. You and Bunny are much braver than me. Cheers from a shed that I actually spent some time in this week. All the best.
I'm happy now! I got my weekly fix! Lol! It's great to see Miss Honey Bunny stepping out of her comfort zone of being less camera shy. She's definitely a keeper! Not afraid to get her hands dirty and dive into that 59 Buick transmission like a champ! Trunk splice on the 60 Chevy came out great! That old Lincoln looks pretty cool. As always, a great show! Keep up the great work! Can't wait to see what's in store for next week! Cheers!
Great job keeping all of the CWM projects progressing! Bunny kicked butt on the Dynaflow. Scott, your metal fabrication work is always fascinating to watch. Glad to see the Mark II again as well. Thanks to all of you for your hard work. Have a great week!
Nice updates tonight, and great to see Jim and the Conti again. Dynaflow is coming together very well with some good work from both of you. Cheers again!
Kudos to all the employees of Bunny's Transmission Shoppe. Being able to take apart, clean, repair and reassemble such a complex thing as this transmission is next-level, to a casual car guy like me! I'll take bets that it works perfectly, first time it's fired up! Same with the repair on that Impala trunk lid! Next-level! Thanks for your channel. Got my calendar!
Love Jim's well behaved Cat Inspectors insuring a job well done on the 1956 Continental Mark II project! That is, providing that the treats keep coming. Meowww!
Bunny, embrace the environment and help us all love the class you're adding to the show! We all know you're going to stop Scott looking for LOST tools and organizing the black hole unorganized haberdashery! You're bringing us all up THANKS LADY!!!!!
Always a treat to spend time at the Jim estate. Kudos to him for plugging away on that project. Anyone else but you guys would have been discouraged and thrown in the towel on the Continental.
I've said it before, when working on old cars, fire and big hammers (I prefer a 3 pound maul) are the tools you need. Having a Bunny that can rebuild a Dynaflow transmission is a +++. Love watching you do your magic on the trunk lid, and Jim's Conti, while seeing how much has been done, the deeper you go the worst it gets.
I said to my wife sitting next to me, “Scott made the 1/4 panel on Jim’s Continental! He hammered and formed it out of steel until it became a quarter!” She said, “I’m watching the cats.” Well, I appreciate your incredible metal work. That impala trunk piece looks mint! And, I got my calendar! Love it - the picture quality is way above an average calendar. They all look great but the Boogie Van is so sweet! Cheers all!
These transmissions always bring back the song Dynamo Hum, by the Mothers. We always throw in an accessory line filter after the build. Bunny has a lot of heart. Stay lucky.
Doing your own trans is a great feeling when it works :) I did the pushbutton 727 in mine 62 and it came out pretty good, just went out beating on the car a bit a few mins ago :)
''We used to party like in your intro here in Québec , but now it has sadly disappeared ! Never stop these very important gatherings with family and friend sir ! Merci mon bon ami !
My kind of music in the start of the video enjoyed work on Jim's Continental hope to see more looking forward to classic dart's say hi to FRANKERS great to see Laura DYNAFLOW rebuild and 1960 IMPALA Splice was great to watch that was great work Scott thanks to you for your time doing all the work you do i enjoy watching it gives me a lot of ways to fix things i have not tried you amaze me the way you fix cars Hello to everyone cheers.😊👍👍✌❤
That Dynaflow is a masterpiece in engineering, i have no idea how automatic transmissions work - mechanical black magic 🤔 Jim appears to have grown a winter hairstyle since we last saw him 😄 Tell Hunny Bunny she has a cheeky cute smile ☺️
Another great video of some great projects. I was really glad to see Jim and the bit of an update on his "Stinkin' Linkin'" project and the VW also. Thank guys..... and Bunny also!
Great work on the '60 Chev trunk lid!! I'm glad to see the Conti too!! It does need more attention, but I know it'll get sorted and looking as good as new soon!! Cheers!
Another fantastic show ! Cheers from northwest illinois to Scott the body master and Bunny the transmission expert ! Glad to see Jim and the Conti again. Just all so fantastic the things you guys do and the wonderful old iron that you find there. Love the shows and appreciate your efforts.
Very impressed with the surgical precision in how the Dynaflow tranny came back together but was puzzled by Scott’s comment to it being “amateur night” which must have been a reference to his contributions and not Bunny’s. That Impala deck lid work was also impressive, given the varying and complex dimensions of that part of the car. Finally, happy to see progress on Jim’s Continental, that’s yet another rout of the consumptive rust weevil. Glad there was two of you to carry off that massive door and as always, enjoyed seeing Jim’s superb fleet and felines!
Good progress on many projects! Good to see Jim and the Lincoln project again. That deck lid has been quite a project on its own. The CWM Pub has a nice crowd, live music always brings them in. Thanks again for a great show! Stay warm. Cheers! 😎👍🏎🏁🏁
Transmission magic. I liked the explanation of hydraulic fluid pushing a piston out to engage um, something. But clearly not much like later slushboxes.
Loved the show. Bunny is amazing with that transmission rebuild. Has she worked in the industry before? Great to see Jim again and happy to see the continued progress on the Lincoln. All the best! Rick
No change in my subscription status. The more I look at Jim’s Continental, the more I think it spent a lot of time at the Texas gulf coast. Bunny (HB) is doing slow methodical job on the transmission you have to do, another reason I like standard shifts along as fact the current generation has no idea how to operate them . Best to all the agents and contributors to todays show, and hope todays snow storm is not impacting you too much. See you Thursday.
The transmission is looking good! Nice you have Bunny to make sure it goes back together nice. It's good to have a cool head to keep from losing it should patience start to wear thin. Nice loader Collin! Good finish to a tricky part on the outer part of trunk lid for the Impala! Back to the Lincoln. Ince you start you never know what you will come up against. Just those broken vent hoses you might not ever know about until Jim got that panel off. That car is going to be better than when it left the factory! Thank you everyone for sharing!!!
The couples that put transmissions together stay together! ;)! Glad the Dynaflow is coming along. Glad that the Impala is coming along and glad the 1956 Continental II is slowly improving. Got my calendar today! Love it. Thanks for another great episode! George in Maine
Engines, I get the idea but that Dynaflow stuff sounds like space rocketry 😂. Jim is a very brave man ... Calendar has arrived safely and its fab again this year!
That continental is going to need to be rebuilt again by the time it gets finished ... longest running project? That car will be celebrating its bicentennial birthday before Jim gets any paint on it lol... I understand it's not going to happen overnight but... hey buddy I'm not going to live forever 😮... Great content this week thanks for the videos Scott & company.. cheers
Hi, Scott, I just received the calendar, Thank you. Bunny is doing an outstanding job on the Dynaflow transmission, she will become a great mechanic because of your training. The Chevy trunk lid is beautiful. You are the Man, the Impala will look like roll off the assembly line. Everybody is helping you by sending parts to help you on this restoration. It's nice to see you and Jim back working on the Continental again. Thank you again for the calendar and the sticker. Cheers!
I thoroughly enjoyed this entire episode, but I was particularly pleased to see Honey Bunny on camera. She is so very pretty and has the cutest dimples! Cheers to all, especially Francine, the star of the show.
You and Bunny are doing a fantastic job with the Dynaflow transmission. I think the transmission case and tale are milled individually so you can't just swap the tale of another one in it. Have never heard the tale or tale shaft braking off but its always a possibility but with very low %. I have to admit GM did some things right from the start. The oil rings in the grooves are not something GM only used. Soviet K-700 has the same rings to keep transmission fluid out of the flywheel side on the engine. Also more modern vehicles have these as cam rings in the engine to keep the cams secured in the head case. You can imagine what happens if they fail. The Loader looks mighty good, kind of makes me jealouse. Jim's Lincoln's door condition dose not come to me as a surprise. My very first car had doors where the underside had rusted out like that on the Lincoln. Sometimes it's just humidity and years of water and rust doing it's work. I believe there should be a drain for the doors but that is very easy to see from the other door if it is there. Hoping for a Canadian Frankers episode sometime in the future. Chreers to you and Bunny.
you have been saving up for a feature movie; thank you brother man wait, you have a woman that can assemble an automatic transmission? brother, you are living a dream, get her a really good bottle of wine to share in front of the fire in some cozy remote location
Up until 8 years ago I lived in the Grand Rapids Michigan area. I have visited Northwestern Auto supply. Back in the 1970s I rebuilt a 33 Plymouth engine. Northwestern had all the parts I needed. That place was amazing it was like stepping back in time. They had parts sourced from all over. Many obsolete brands. From what I was told they bought inventory from old closed parts stores.

Another great episode to lift the spirits. The biggest thing I learned this week from the show was.. I'm never...ever... opening up an auto transmission. You and Bunny are much braver than me. Cheers from a shed that I actually spent some time in this week. All the best.
Haha! Cheers to you, wonderful Sir! ❤
So happy you visited with Jim and the Mark II. It's been a while since doing an update on one of my favorite
projects.
Thanks. Really enjoying seeing Bunny helping. Sweet smile and productive as well. Good combination!

You always impress me with your metal bending techniques. Bunny seems to know her way around also. She gets right in there.
Kudos to all the employees of Bunny's Transmission Shoppe.

This is by far the best part of my week. Thank you.
I'm really happy to see you and Jim back on the Continental.
Love Jim's well behaved Cat Inspectors insuring a job well done on the 1956 Continental Mark II project! That is, providing that the treats keep coming. Meowww!
Love Jim's shop, guard cats!
Great show! Good to see Jim. Got my calendar thank you.
The Dynaflow rebuild is great to watch. Can't wait to see it hooked up to the '59!
Bunny, embrace the environment and help us all love the class you're adding to the show! We all know you're going to stop Scott looking for LOST tools and organizing the black hole unorganized haberdashery! You're bringing us all up THANKS LADY!!!!!
So nice seeing a womans hand involved in these processes. Good job Bunny!
Nice to see Jim’s Conti back in the lineup. Bunny is keeping your OCD/ADD in check. Good woman right there! Cheers guys! Your skills are outstanding.
I could never be a professional body man like you, I can't hammer that fast as you do in the videos
Amazin, ain't it! 😅
The Bunny - Scott Transmission Service Company is up and running flawlessly.
Always a treat to spend time at the Jim estate. Kudos to him for plugging away on that project. Anyone else but you guys would have been discouraged and thrown in the towel on the Continental.
Jim cracks me up, your show is never too long seriously id watch 2hrs easy. Your content makes me a happy camper. cheers
Two dedicated surgeons working on the Dynaflow patient. 👍 Love it!
Great to see Jim again ! We need to see him more often ! 🌹

The trany lady impressed me ! We need to see more of her good work. Love your video's like always for the past 4 to 5 years.
Couples activities - my honey and I do yoga and travel. Scott and Madame La Bun rebuild Buick Dynaflows. Can't tell you how awesome that is.
Doing your own trans is a great feeling when it works :) I did the pushbutton 727 in mine 62 and it came out pretty good, just went out beating on the car a bit a few mins ago :)
I love watching the body restoration work.

Tell Hunny Bunny she has a cheeky cute smile ☺️
Happy Saturday to all. Been waiting all week for this one.
I had just about given up on ever seeing the Lincoln again. So glad you're back on it.
Another great video of some great projects. I was really glad to see Jim and the bit of an update on his "Stinkin' Linkin'" project and the VW also. Thank guys..... and Bunny also!
Bunny needs her own CWM segment. She's pretty, smart and fun.
Thank you so much for not giving up on Jim Lincoln! Can't wait for that one and the Impala to get finished. Keep up the good work.
Haven't seen the Conti in many moons. Jimbo's grown some epic sideburns. Nice.
One excellent episode, Buddy and Bunny, of course. Cheers 🇨🇦
Nice progress on all the projects! Thanks for another great Saturday!
Can’t wait to see the Chevy, Buick and Continental moving forward!
You reminded me why I dont like messing with automatic transmissions, great show as usual.
Great work on the '60 Chev trunk lid!! I'm glad to see the Conti too!! It does need more attention, but I know it'll get sorted and looking as good as new soon!! Cheers!

Bunny is a nice addition to the show. She'll even be better when she gets over being camera shy.
You need to do a "Bunny Hug" (Hoodie) for Bunnies CWM Transmission Shop! Great work!
Great to see such a good working Relationship between you two, awesome Stuff,!!’

Awesome show, as always!
The dynaflow is coming along nicely you and Bunny work well together.

Bunny's Auto Trans Shop or BATS could become a segment??..very informative
Quote of the week: "Beauty parlor for transmissions..." Well played Ms. Leadfoot!😉
Can’t wait for a Continental update
That's funny. I was going to ask too.
Excellent as always, plenty to keep you busy indoors while its cold,
Epic video this week! Thanks.

Bunny reassembly of the 1959 Buick Dynaflow transmission! 👍
Lotsa challenging work this week!
Jim always has a cool bike in the garage. CWM 2025 calendar arrived, nice job.
I thoroughly enjoyed this entire episode, but I was particularly pleased to see Honey Bunny on camera. She is so very pretty and has the cutest dimples!
Cheers to all, especially Francine, the star of the show.
Lots of good content this week, good to see Jim's Continental as well as more on the Biscala trunk lid and the Dynaflow,Cheers!!

I really enjoyed this weeks BTS:), Thanks for another great video and making my Saturday awesome! See you on Thursday, have a great and safe week.

The clutch in the Dynaflow transmission reminds me of a motorcycle type with the clutch basket and the alternate friction and plain clutch plates.
BRAVO Scott, on your outstanding metal forming on the 60'! And--- Got my Calendar ! ! ! ...Newk from Kentucky
Calendar is very nice, just received.
Hooray! That ‘59 Buick is gonna be KILLER!!!
Bunny is awesome! ❤
It's time to warm up on a chilly Saturday with Franker's and the crew at CWM. Have a fantastic weekend everyone!
