Wow! 1790's ... I worked for an engineering co. in New Orleans that had a contract with a local Architect renovating the Madame John's Legacy building. I'm fairly sure it's one of the oldest structures in the French Quarter. Wood pegs used to fasten all the big structural timbers. I have been in the Attic to see it. What a marvelous thing to see.
I just loved that grin Dan had when he was pulling out the Biscyne! Thanks to Laura for the tour, well done so far on the house. Great to see the gang, looking forward to next week with that Citreon teaser on the wrap up. Cheers
@@Fig-220S yes, there's no malice in him, I believe he would give you the shirt off his back if you were cold. Dean's a good man all the way to his heart.
Nice update on the cabin. I'm glad the 6 won the toss instead of an LS. No computer $hit to hook up. Simple job. Fun times. Dean... What a machine. Thanks for the episode, Scott.
My folks drove a 63 Biscayne until 1972. Black with a beige interior, lovingly named the Black Window. The car took my young, broke parents everywhere and ran like a champ. Mom cried when it got replaced by the brand new 72 Country Squire.
I watched this episode after priming and painting the wheels for my ‘59 SIMCA Aronde 4 door sedan. When you say “It’s rare and nobody cares” I can definitely relate! 😂
WoW! Thanks so much, Robert! That is so kind of you... All the very best from me and Miss Frankers and all of the Agents that make it happen every week!
That's GREAT about the '63 Chevy engine! Sounds great! Laura, HEY, thanks for letting us see your cabin update and information about its history. Get it put together the way you want. I hope you have many happy years there!!

Watching this today makes it another great Saturday and thanks for an update on Laura's cabin love the 1963 chevy Biscayne FRANKERS the whole video so great.😊🍺👍👍✌❤
A definite thumbs up for the Biscayne. My uncle had a 64 and it also had AC in it. Wow! That was a great job putting in the new engine. That sound brings back many memories. It is a comfortable car to ride around in. It is so funny that Dean has the same car as Tom. Too much. Laura's cabin is looking pretty nice now that the walls are up. That is some serious wood working skills from now and the original builders. Amazing! Now off to get a calendar.
Dan is living the life these days. The Olds and Caddy are epic really. Scott needs a big storage building. The twin Buick projects have my attention. Deans a drifter! And HunnyBunny has been unveiled. Oh My. Cheers to all 🇨🇦
Any trip to the GCFE is a jaw dropper, both in terms of what’s accomplished there and what’s in that grand garage. The Biscayne mill changeover was a resounding success and a triumph for Dan as he realized his boyhood dream of getting behind the wheel of a car he grew up with. The segment on Laura’s cabin was rich in references to tree ring interpretations and chinking not easily found elsewhere. Also a fun time with Dean, whose relationships with cars could be best termed as ‘transitory’ and perhaps it’s best left that way at least for him as long as they serve as rolling storage units. Thanks for another rich session.
Scott.... Dude, Great episode!! I just ordered a calendar, it's awesome to be able to do that. Wow... Such a great group of friends, awesome to see Laura, the cabin is incredible. Love that 63 Chevy with the inline 6; I never tire of the sound of those engines. Laura's cabin is an incredible bit of woodworking, history, and archaeology. It's so nice that she's doing as much as possible to keep its original fabric in place.
The High Plains Drifter, lol. Great to see Dean back in action. Laura's cabin is sure taking shape. Those fellas have done a great job of putting it back together. Things at The GCFCE just keep getting better. Seeing the Biscayne moving around by itself made me smile. Great episode, cheers.
Great too see the cabin moving along......always enjoy watching everyone coming together too make things happens....makes for great shows...cheers.....
Laura's cabin is coming along nicely, she needs a cabin calendar of her own. What he just parked the Biscayne back in the wood? thank you all and Dean too.
That Biscayne is going to be an awesome driver. Laura's cabin is coming along really well. It will be neat to see it when it's all together. The model turned out great.
That inline 6 badge on the fender plus the mud/snow grips on the rear with the Chevy dog dish caps gives the Biscayne a perfect image. I am turning into Dean. I just love it.
I've found over the years that it is generally easier to pull the engine and gearbox together. Sometimes removing the radiator support and surrounds makes it that little bit easier.
I loved seeing Laura’s explanation of the decisions made along the way of the cabin rebuild. We ourselves are looking to find and move a smaller house to make a guest cottage on our property here in northern. Sweden. Wood is an amazing material for building with, since it’ll always forgive your errors and let you make changes like Laura’s windows and doors.
THIS IS THE EXACT CAR THAT I LEARNED TO DRIVE IN. IT WAS MY HIGH SCHOOLS' DRIVERS ED CAR. I TOOK MY DRIVERS TEST AT THE PA STATE POLICE BARRACKS IN HARRISBURG, PENNSYLVANIA (1967). FAILED MY FIRST ATTEMPT WHEN I STALLED IT PULLING OUT FROM A STOP SIGN. I SWEAR IT WAS IN ALMOST THE SAME CONDITION. JUST KIDDING! TOOK MY TEST THE SECOND TIME AND PASSED. YOU GUYS ARE GREAT FUN TO WATCH. YINZ ALL SWEAR LIKE REAL CAR GUYS TOO. ENJOY YOUR VIDEOS IMMENSLY. YOU GUYS TOUCH ME HEART BRINGING BACK REAL CARS AND NOT TRAILER QUEENS.
That '63 base Bisc is coming along great. I'm looking forward to the Laura's wine and cheese cabin warming someday. Looking good. The '59 Fury model is superb. Thanks to you all for making something I can watch and actually buy merch from. Haven't been such a fan of something since Pee Wee's Playhouse was first aired.
I had to watch the show in 4 sittings, and take in all the stuff you guys are up to You know Not exactly the same old shit this time Some 1790 construction solutions I've never seen- Great stuff.
Glad to see drifter Dean back in the rotation.. he's really a hoot! That new garage over at the GCFCE is a super man cave deluxe! That stuff costs a lot of money nowadays- I'm trying to put up a shed, and I need to sell some basses to do it! As usual, a great and fun watch that goes by too fast.
That was definitely a Biscayne miracle! Great to see it running. Laura’s build is coming on in leaps and bounds. I can totally understand why the changes needed to be made. You have to be able to stand up in your house and see out of the windows when you sit down. Lastly, the Fury model is very fine and would look great on the parcel shelf of the real thing!
Scott, I had to laugh when you called the Biscayne the Official Car of Saskatchewan... it reminds me of the one my grandpa drove - same year but dark blue with that added Manitoba farmer touch of the plastic frost shields on the side and rear windows. Great episode
On the reverse light switch on the Biscayne. The Biscayne at least in the USA didn't have real back up lights, they were dummy lens with no bulb inside, it looked like we had backup lights on our car but they didn't work. I remember asking my Father about it and he said.....It cost more money to have back up lights, he didn't want them if the law didn't require them.
A new engine is a new engine and a Biscayne is a great car! I'm fascinated by the woodwork and details on Laura's cabin, thank you for sharing that. I think Dean's new car is too nice to be called a "beater", perhaps a "beaten"? Another great episode. Thank you and Cheers!
A grade school friend's mom drove a '63 Biscayne six four door - remember them well, and I'm glad to see one saved from the crusher. Steve did a great job on that Johan '59 Fury - I just picked up a resin repo of that kit; gonna build a model of one that got away. Hope Tom doesn't get into Dean's Ford by mistake. Thanks for the update on Laura's cabin - an ambitious project, to be sure. See you next week!
Another winner of a show! It's always a fun time seeing what you're up to. And now I'm off to a family reunion... so "fun time" is officially over. Cheer and the best from the big city
HOORRRAAAYYYY!! After a HARD day of leaves and grass mowing, it's CWM time!! Dean and Tom.. OMG - WHO would have THUNK it!??! LOL!!!! WOW - the cabin is coming along great!! More Biscayne action for sure!
Hi, Scott I love the work on the '63 Chevy. The engine should be made it appearance better. I can't believe that Dean the same SUV as Tom. Laura's cabin is coming out great, l can't wait for it to be all finished. You should do a big party to celebrate Laura's success. I'm very happy that the '59 Buick engine is ready to install in the LeSabre. Please give my best wishes to everybody and be safe. Cheers!
With due credit to all others participating in the project, we get to see the cabin as presented by Laura.. so from our perspective she is doing it. Your role in bringing it to us is also fundamental.

Hey thanks so much! Cheers from here...
I had to watch the show in 4 sittings, and take in all the stuff you guys are up to
You know
Not exactly the same old shit this time
Some 1790 construction solutions I've never seen-
Great stuff.
Dean’s new nickname is the “Oil Sands Drifter”…
HEY! GREAT model of a 1959 Plymouth!!!! Hi Franker's!!! Hi Dean !!!!
Wow, I've never seen a voltage regulator produce more steam than a radiator with the cap removed ha-ha. What a great video!
Thanks so much for the update on your cabin, Laura. One of the best project updates to date, that is a formidable task and a job well done!
Would be really cool to see some of the before pics of the cabin. Love that it's being saved. Also straight 6's for the win all around.
Scott, I had to laugh when you called the Biscayne the Official Car of Saskatchewan... it reminds me of the one my grandpa drove - same year but dark blue with that added Manitoba farmer touch of the plastic frost shields on the side and rear windows. Great episode
Another great episode. Love Dan's toys, congrats to Laura on the cabin, and love the model. Great job. Cheers ! 👊😎👍
On the reverse light switch on the Biscayne. The Biscayne at least in the USA didn't have real back up lights, they were dummy lens with no bulb inside, it looked like we had backup lights on our car but they didn't work. I remember asking my Father about it and he said.....It cost more money to have back up lights, he didn't want them if the law didn't require them.
nice to see the boys out at the GCFCE enjoying life...very cool cruisers
Hey Randahl. Was watching train derailments. Not something you want to watch at the shed ! Cheers 👊😎👍
Family Reunion--are you the uncle they don't talk about Randahl?😆
@@glennnickerson8438 Pretty much...
@@Awsom47Merc Ha Ha! That might get me more subscribers!

City hall should have a plentiful supply of manure for the wall filling.
my dad had a 63 2 dr post Biscayne, simple comfortable, easy on gas. We could sneak 4 people into the drive in in the trunk. Be well.
HOORRRAAAYYYY!! After a HARD day of leaves and grass mowing, it's CWM time!! Dean and Tom.. OMG - WHO would have THUNK it!??! LOL!!!! WOW - the cabin is coming along great!! More Biscayne action for sure!
Same here and it's only a 10th of what I'll have to rake up! Wish it was early May instead of October!
@@glennnickerson8438 agree 100% about May!
I love the Foose custom broom reference!
Cheers!
Your sister seems like she is in her element with the cabin.😀
Back in the day they had pit sawyers, with very large saws. They could cut wood accurately
With due credit to all others participating in the project, we get to see the cabin as presented by Laura.. so from our perspective she is doing it. Your role in bringing it to us is also fundamental.
Well let the show begin! Has it snow yet? See you on Thursday!
Great swap! Cabin's going to be something to look forward to. Can't wait to the Buick running in 8mm!
Dan's grin is priceless.
