Hi guys! Thanks for tuning in! This week we're going to keep going on the 1960 Chevy Impala I bought from Tom a couple of years ago... I have a Chevy Biscayne sedan for a donor, and it is time to see if we can save the Impala by grafting it to the bottom of the solid Biscayne! I did a 1960 Plymouth Fury a few years ago, so it'll be a similar job, overall... This week we'll start installing the doors and begin the long process of fitting everything together...
Dean is back with another fabulous Summer Flip, and Myles has been shopping... It's a sweetie!
Thanks everyone who ordered a 1937 Chevy T-shirt; they're being printed now and I'll let everyone know when they are on the way!
Hope you enjoyed the 8mm clips! I am filming more on the 8mm camera and I'll include the footage as soon as I get it developed... Special thanks to Steve Dean and Niagara Film Labs in Toronto.
Thanks to everyone who subscribed to our channel here, and thanks also for all of your "likes" and comments!

I have to tell you that you remind me of my high school body shop teacher...I feel like I'm back in class because of the attention to detail. Then on the other side of the scale is Dean's Toyota flip: a battery, a Ford coil, and out the door!😆
And a shout-out to Myles buying another classic Poncho...if you need help with your addiction, Myles - you buy them, I'll take them home!
      LOL!
(Going to Canada is on the bucket list; just gotta fill the bucket first, if you know what I mean 🤑)
Cheers to everyone from the "Land of Lincoln"!

@@coldwarmotors Since Dean doesn't like the idea of a two door hardtop how about a two door Roundup station wagon , the wagon wheel base is 2 inches shorter (yep he said shorter) but you could just move the wheel opening back, I'm sure Dean wouldn't mind😜

@coldwarmotors Scott! You are the ONLY channel that does this kind of thing! Not to mention the exceptional attention to detail and determination to get it right!!
I am Autistic and thus a perfectionist when it comes to things like this. Every single bit of inner-monologue I was having while watching this, 5 seconds later you were talking about it!! You are a very talented man and I genuinely have more respect for you than almost anybody I know!!
I know I am a nobody and you don't even know me. Therefore, my praise doesn't mean much. However, I had to let you know how much respect I have for you. Keep up the incredible work sir!

Don’t worry, Scott - other YT channels cover “This week on Tedious Bullshit”. Are you going to force the mid selection past level before welding, thinking the body will deflect a bit after the straps and jackstands are taken away? The splice is fun, but let’s get the Fury wagon on the lift! Thanks for another entertaining episode - see you next week!

I can remember in the 80's my uncle always bought a grand marquis. One thing the dealer offered that I never heard of was an option you could buy. They put a new car in the body shop. They loosened every panel aligned everything then retightened.. That was a great option they had. Too bad you had to pay for it.

The "tedious" work on the Biscala is where a lot of learning is. It's a shame that recording it would be such a pain for you. Lots of folks could learn a lot.
Good luck with it all. I'm sure it will turn out great. You won't stop until it is great, I expect.
Myles really has the Pontiac sickness how. ;) The Parisienne is a nice looking old gal.

Its fun looking at the Canadian Pontiacs compared the the American version. My uncle bought a new 1963 Bonneville back when I was seven and I remember being impressed on how effortlessly it accelerated compared to my Dad's 1962 Plymouth Savoy with the slant six. My uncle had been a tool designer in Detroit back then and always traded for a new Pontiac every two years.

Hi guys, nice Pontiac Hardtop, the 6 makes it rare. If You Had a time machine, and went to the factory and watched them build your Impala, you'd be shocked until you realized that that was the story . They came out shiny new and fast. All the lines were moving at top speed, and the product came out at a standard level of finish. The new cars then had a lifespan of 100,000 miles or, 10-12 years. Today , the restorers turn out a car that's three times that good. Well Done Scott... Cheers

Dean never fails to amaze. It's amazing how much that Imp body flexes, why it so important to support it all.

I have split 3 cars over the years. You did the line up the same way I did. The only line you can trust is the rocker to door gap. Nice work.

That is the Astro Six 230 cid, 140 hp in the Pontiac. 8.5:1 compression, so there is power on the table 😂. To quote the brochure: pamper your pride with a most popular Pontiac.

It’s not like I can do this and make money on it.
I’m doing this because (a) ‘60 Impala is an awesome car.
    Fuck yeah 👍

A stellar array of CWM accomplishments. Having the DeanMan aboard to help hang the Biscala’s door was a plus; that’s a very painstaking undertaking and damn near impossible as a solo task, particularly with those mosquito attacks.Dan’s score of the decades-old Chevy nuggets was a real find but Myles’ Parisienne wins the week’s treasured discovery award. What a jewel and a step up from his Strato radio delete version of the same vintage.
Finally, have to laud Dean’s Tercel; I had an ‘80 and found those machines to be near indestructible, although I had mine in the rust-free SW US. Thanks for your good works , Gents!

Looks like things are coming along very well Scott. The 60 Chevy is a rare piece, I haven't seen one down here in the states for a very long time. Miles must have deep pockets to keep finding and buying those cars, he works hard at his hobby, and he learns from helping you. I would like to have one more classic car before I shuffle off ,but I kind of doubt if it will happen.

That Tercel does run well, apart from the death rattle coming from the engine.
I hated the Tercel too when they were new, but that was because in Europe, and compared to most European car makers’ hatchbacks, it looked as exciting and sophisticated as a piece of door mat. There was one in our street, and the only redeeming feature of it was a sticker that read “I wanted a Lamborghini, but I couldn’t pronounce it.”

The Toyota Tercel is one of those little cars that grows on you. I like it, but it is going to need a super de-mousing. I am looking forward to the next episode and the shirt coming in the mail. Myles scored again with at Pontiac. Absolutely gorgeous.
