Depending on what language you're speaking
Time to clear up some misinformation: Moissanite is a naturally occurring mineral that is in fact rarer than diamonds. Both can be and are actively artificially manufactured in labs. Moissanite is a fraction of the price of diamonds due to low demand; everyone knows about diamonds and everyone wants a Diamond but most people haven’t heard of Moissanite, therefore everyone is going to be looking for diamonds rather than Moissanite. This drives the price of diamonds up and the price of Moissanite down. Moissanite has a hardness of 9.5 whereas diamonds have a hardness of 10. Moissanite’s hardness is a negligible difference compared to a diamond’s and Moissanite actually has a far higher brilliance and much more beautiful shimmer. People who purchase diamonds either
A. Have never heard of Moissanite.
B. Don’t want to purchase Moissanite because it’s simply not a Diamond and they want to follow the crowd.
C. Don’t like Moissanite because it’s cheaper than Diamond and the high cost of a jewel to them is the only thing that makes it worth buying, as if it was a bragging point.
Thanks for clearing things up, some people don't even know gold is rarer than diamonds.
