I bought one for my son, the dealer recommended 10.34gr jsb. Its a birthday gift and I haven't given it to him yet. I did clean it and sent 1 pellet down range and hit what I was aiming at (a 3inch steel). The factory sights are awesome. The fiber optics lights up real good in the sun light.
Hi Ken, your son will love it. It's got a lot of good things going for it. You mention open sights. I had a problem using those sights with the height of the cheek rest. Glad to hear that it's not an issue for you. Thanks for watching my friend.
That's a fantastic gift. As for pellets, it might be worth getting a test pack so you can compare several types and find which ones work best. I've had good results with Air Arms, JSB, H&N, RWS and have found that medium weight to lighter weight pellets tend to work best with spring rifles rather than the heaviest ones.
Truly not understanding the bashing on this. I've been shooting it for a week and it's an absolute sweetheart of a rifle. Also moving your face forward just a bit puts you very comfy on lining up the open sights with the stock just under my ear and gives me a consistent anchor point. Trigger can be worked out. Best $200 buy I've had in an air rifle.
I wasn't bashing the rifle. I gave an honest review and explained what I liked and didn't like about the gun. In my opinion, a well designed rifle stock shouldn't require that the shooter adjust his or her hold in order to get a decent sight picture. For the price tag, it's not a bad buy at all. Especially if you're planning on scoping it. Thanks for watching, my friend.
@@razor1962 I wasn't speaking of you bashing. Sorry for the confusion. Was speaking of the comments from others. You know how it goes, over half of negative comments are from people that never used one. To me they found a happy medium between a scope cheek piece and open sight stock. I have absolutely no dislike of the stock at all. Great all arounder.

Now that's how an air rifle should look in my opinion, beautiful looking gun none of that polymer, tactical nonsense. Yea I know the plastic stocks are easier to look after for field use, but that timber and blued steel...👌 she's a beaut. Other manufacturers take note. Great video as always Kevin.

I have a meteor super in .22 cal. I've removed the open sights. Added a harmonic turner to the barrel. I installed the trigger upgrade screw from airgun detective. I was initially very disappointed with this rifle. The trigger is now superb. Very crisp let off. With the harmonic tuner the groups are now ragged holes at 25yds. Down from 2-3 inches. It's now one of my favorite break barrels.
enjoy your channel very much. been an air rifle enthusiast for about the same time as you, and have a very nice collection of rifles and pistols from the 60's on. i saw the meteor super about 6 months ago and tried out one in .177. was drawn to the looks and never having had a gas ram, decided to give it a go. like you, i was able to shoot it fairly well, but after living with weihrauch and feinwerkbau triggers, just couldn't abide by that awful trigger. back it went. then i saw the 22 cal model at aoa for $199. figured what the hell, i'll take it apart and make it at least livable. what was delivered, made me do a double take. not only was the minelli stock visually striking, but the trigger appeared to have been improved to the point that it was actually not half bad. shorter first stage and a somewhat crisp release at a hair over two pounds. don't know if my gun is typical of others, but that's what i got. the stock screws appeared to have been put in with loctite and overall, felt like alot more than $199. mounted a hawke 2-7x32 airmax and removed the sights for a very sleek package. i've lately been taking the bare barrels and covering them in heavy duty shrink tubing. makes them less prone to scuffing, reduces glare to nothing, and makes them very nice to grab for cocking. looking forward to more of your videos.
Once again a solid to the point review, thanks for that. Really nice looking rifle, pity about the trigger because that makes or breaks springer accuracy. Wishing you a merry Christmas
Well , like it or not it's a massive improvement over the original super meteor , all that was a bog standard meteor with added cheekpiece and recoil pad 😣 great review and excellent video as always 💥👍🍻
Then again I'm getting it as like the look of it Also swap the trigger out for a better one if it's shit but from what I've seen other people do your making a mess of this.l gun
I have both Gamo and Weihrauch triggers (Rekord and Elite). On first impressions I hated the Gamo trigger, though you do get used to it (and it is a bit more predictable than the Elite trigger!). For a hunting/vermin gun I found the Gamo trigger is ok. Not sure it would cut it in a benchrest competition though 😅)
The BSA meteor. In the UK this was nearly as iconic as the Daisy BB gun in the US. Everyone had one, or knew where to borrow one, ancient examples could even be found at fairground shooting galleries. This specimen may look like an update, but it doesn't seem to follow the tradition. Unfortunately. It looks as if Gamo have been somewhat disingenuous - this is obviously a "scope only" stock - so they should have marketed on that basis. Personally I like having the choice, but that's not the biggest problem for me. One thing I have come to realise during my own undistinguished shooting career is the supreme importance of a good trigger. Barrels, Ammunition - they can ALL deliver more accuracy than I can. A poor, creepy trigger though - I can't cope with one of those. Thanks for pointing this out.
Thanks David. Some will tell you that it's a pretty good trigger. Maybe the gun that I tested was flawed but the trigger in my opinion was the biggest negative about the rifle. Thanks for watching my friend.
I have the 2 "BSA guns" first the effectively Gamo hornet (2014) which has no BSA marks but was sold as BSA and the BSA XL SE GRT (2019), both have the exact same trigger unit, the Super has the same trigger as both mine, the hornet was dirt cheap but accurate has a threaded barrel pivot, the XL SE GRT has a barrel PIN like nearly all BSA models ever had, that super has the threaded gamo barrel pivot, now my XL SE GRT is accurate but VERY pellet fussy and i have had to tinker to get it reliable and accurate, BSA break barrels could be so much more but BSA and Gamo seem to interfere with each other and cheap out, and in doing so ruin what could be so much better, my XL SE is prime example just little bits of finishing and a better trigger group instead of a Gamo one from a dirt cheap rifle jammed in
Yes. As is often the case, a manufacturer will sell out to a bigger, but not necessarily better manufacturer. And the quality declines. We've seen it time and again. That's why companies like Diana and Weihrauch are so well respected. They haven't sold out or cheepened the product much, if at all. Thanks for watching, my friend.
I'm English and would love the new English made meteor to be a winner but after handling one in the shop the other day I feel they missed the mark, the lop feels a inch short and I'm only 5'9" the trigger isn't good to say it costs more than a hw99/hw50 and it was rough to cock as we have the spring one it was bad....such a shame webley folded I mean if only they released the tomahawk and longbow 10 year earlier.
Hi Ivan, I've decided to install an ARH Hornet kit in the 95. I'll be beginning a video series this winter as I tune the rifle as well as installing a semi-inleted stock.
Oh, great!! I'm sure that will perform very well, I'll be waiting cause I want to fit a vortek or an ARH kit in my 95, actually it has a tbt drop in kit in factory spring, it's other gun!! Fantastic gun, but I'm looking for a little bit more power for it!! Thanks for your videos, awesome channel!! ✌️✌️
It'll probably take a GRT trigger. Looks a lot like my BSA Super Sport SE .177 springer that came with a Gamo trigger and now has Charlie the Tuna GRT trigger. But the trigger safety no longer works.
I believe GRT triggers are worthwhile. $30-35. I have them in 2 Crosman Storms, Gamo Silent Cat, Shadow 1000, Swarm Gen 1 and TF 58 and 59. The Swarm is now a single shot springer tac driver with a 10oz trigger. All have no first stage. My preference. Which trigger for which gun check their site.
@@mrvoorhees2627 Like the BSA Ultra CLX with the way to short front stock and checkering just in front of the trigger🤔 I don't understand how BSA was thinking here......., but they did some midget airgunners a big favor.

That's a gun I'm sure you would like Kevin if you can get hold of one there......
Hi Kevin! To be honest, it is unacceptable that Gamo brings a 300 dollar airgun on the market and the open sights can't be properly used. The only reason that the stock is good is because it's is made by Minelli. Put in a cheap trigger, add some plastic details and you maybe have a best seller with a good profit. This is how Gamo always worked. It's a disgrace for the BSA name that made once great air rifles. For about the same price you buy a HW30. That rifle is also light, has great usable open sights, looks good and has the Record trigger. Thanks again for your video 👍Ps. It is not my intension to hurt feelings here, just telling facts. Gamo is not my cup of tea and never will be. Cheers!
It definitely looks nice 🙂👍. I agree with you on almost every aspect of this rifle, for likes and dislikes. The only thing I don't like about a gas spring, it seemed to destroy my scope's fast, but maybe that will be different with an 11 FPE rifle.
@@razor1962 The 12fpe. Theoben's were known for their smooth shot cycle. The Crowmag's were known for actually "Shattering" glass. 😣 The Theoben Scirocco, Fenman, Taunus/RWS RA800, Evolution etc... We're fine rifles. The Taunus was very likely The Best ! Theoben triggers aren't for everyone though ? 🤷🏼♂️ Your Rammed BSA SS is an excellent example. 😉👍
The original BSA Meteor was the UK's Red Ryder...we all had one, ran between 7-10 ft/lbs depending on condition and calibre, great hammer forged barrel and could have good accuracy if the barrel pivot pin was tight.. Despite the name, this is really a Spanish Gamo I suspect..though they are claiming the barrel is being made by the original BSA in the UK Should be accurate
Yeah, unfortunately, in today's society, most folks aren't willing to pay for quality. It's a shame, really. We'd rather pay half as much for something that will barely last a week without batting an eye, though .😉
All the spring airguns I have bought or those of friends I have tested over the Chrony in the UK have been well below 12ft lbs. The HWs and AA guns have been better than most others. This is despite claims of 11.5ft lbs in the adverts. Is this what others have found?
It's a tricky situation for the manufacturers, as they need to keep below 12ft lbs muzzle energy regardless of the many possible combinations of pellet mass and velocity. My .22 HW97K gives 11.2ft lbs with a 15.89gr JSB Jumbo and 11.4ft lbs with the lighter 13.43gr JSB RS due to the extra 50fps or so of the lighter pellet (mass times velocity squared and all that). Use a heavier 16.2gr H&N Hornet and it drops to 10.3ft lbs due to the drop in velocity from using a heavier pellet. I don't think it's deliberate policy to market under powered guns, they just need to allow for different pellet mass and velocity combinations, and also minor manufacturing variations between individual rifles.
@@jacklurcher5813 Very well stated, Jack, and on the mark ! 😉👍 And yes to the OP, I've noticed as much but as Jack said there's usually a larger point to the difference in displacement and a simple deviation can get a rifle pulled from market or banned ! 🤷🏼♂️ On the upside this has produced some particularly fine and versatile rifles in the U.K. 😃👍 An Experienced 12 fpe. Shooter is capable of extraordinary feats with an FAC rifle, but it doesn't work the other way around for an FAC shooter. 😏
Being a bit sad and geeky, I did a bit of maths on this. I've recorded 11.2ft lbs with a 15.89gr pellet. It would only need around another 20fps to hit 12ft lbs, so I think the UK spec Weihrauchs are pretty much pushing the limit as far as they can.
From what I understand those are just fancy looking Gamo's... A bit like Benjamin & Crosman _I am not ready to pay more only for a different esthetic/ stock_
Good looking gun, the Minelli stock makes it look very Weihrauch, pity the stock has taken all the money out of the kitty and they have finished it with plastic bits. Do you think you could do anything with the trigger? Very consistent fps especially for a springer. When I got back into air gunning, I was going to buy a Gamo as I liked the idea of a multi shot magazine on a gas ram springer and they looked cool online....... Then I went to the shop and held one, plastic everything, plastic barrel shroud was particularly nasty.
Yes Mick, plastic is a big disappointment on a gun in this price range. There is an aftermarket trigger that should work but it will require doing away with the safety. Thanks for watching
The HW50S/HW99 has a Particularly nice Minelli stock. 🤷🏼♂️ All things being equal. 🤷🏼♂️ That is to say the budget constraints could not be More similar.
The very nature of Gas Rams almost always (if not Always) dictates an exterior sear engagement on the outer piston wall, this requires a significant purchase in the piston wall, and an extraordinary spring tension on the trigger forcing the sear engagement at an oblique angle. The sear engages hard, and releases hard under significant tension. 😣 Best example being the greater difference between the HW90 and HW 80 triggers. So much of the two formats is virtually identical, but the pistons and springs ARE different and subsequently the Trigger characteristics are Night and Day ! HW80 ? Yes... please ! HW 90 ? Hard Pass !!! ✋🤨
The trigger can be adjusted. Further a popular mod is a longer screw which should make it much nicer. It's a bit like your experience with the Walther LGU/LGV, good trigger poor setup.
Hello, I think that Webley made a high quality airgun. Most of their triggers were pretty basic although my Eclipse has a wonderful trigger. Thanks so much for watching.
For the fibre optic sights not being useful due to the cheekpiece height, is that perhaps due to sitting at a bench rather than shouldering the gun to fire without support (so more like a hunting gun?). Perhaps good to get your view if firing from the shoulder while standing up.
Even offhand the iron sights are basically unusable without holding the gun and your head in an uncomfortable position. I'm a fairly small guy (5'7") so I would imagine it would be worse for someone even bigger. Saying this gun was poorly designed is an understatement and based on how cheaply made the sights are, I think its safe to say they weren't actually meant to be used.
Not this time Arthur. These sights aren't usable even from an offhand position without laying your head over the comb. Thanks so much for watching my friend.
Lead ammo ban for all shooting types Inc airguns looms on the horizon in the uk so this is interesting to see a foreign opinion on this gun and do you have any opinions on non lead use in USA?
The cut outs are also a hype. I don't like it, even Weihrauch follows the trend but it is not so extremely done. Gamo is using BSA's good old reputation to sell, nothing else. People who know about airguns will buy the HW. This is the exact reason why unsponsored channels like this are so useful. There are so many sponsored channels where every airgun thrown in their hands will be prized to heaven. Cheers!
@@rapalaron6348 Note that many of these are Minelli Stocks. 😉👍 The comb geometry of the BSA "IS" actually incompatible with the axis of the action. A 20 MOA riser would likely work for a scope, but as Kevin stated, the iron sights are unfortunately useless. 😕
@@marcmyers1465 Hi Mark! They probably don't care as long it looks good. Just imagine what happens if Weihrauch, Diana or Air Arms would mount useless sights on their rifles.....Gamo is targetting a totally different audience. Audience that like the words like magnum, maxxim, extreme, 1300fps, bone collector 🤣🤣🤣
@@rapalaron6348 I know Minelli well enough to know they didn't propose that Comb. 😉 Over the last three decades I am continually amazed by the quality of Weihrauch and Diana sights. The Diana Mod. 27 is the very definition of Modest Design, but the rear sight is one of the finest made. Weihrauch of course has that Glorious rock solid front globe sight. 😃👍 I do miss the Olde School precision rear sights these days... Fortunately I still have a bin full of them. 😉
The cut out is almost as deep as my Tau 200BT (Goggle It)... and that's significant ! 😳 But it does swing very easily offhand. 😉👍 And mind you the comb is specifically designed for 20 MOA mounts, it's also adjustable and can easily drop 1/2" without the cheek riser shims... 🤷🏼♂️ Extremely fast pointing, but it IS none the less a Running Target rifle. 😉
You definitely have a cross breeze. You can see a twig or sedge heaving during your shots, just above and in front of the rear sight, and below the target inset. 😉
This is the best meteor ever. Keep distancing yourself bsa from that gamo crap with uk made bsa air rifles and i will start to buy bsa again as i did in the 80s as my brummy made mercury's and airsporter's have never let me down unlike that spanish made rubbish that disgraced your once proud name.
Not that GAMO makes bad guns, but they are expected to be a notch or so under BSA. With this rifle, to me ar least, it seems that GAMO may be involing itself a bit too much. Accuracy seemed poor, and I would expect that Walther still makes the BSA barrels. That however was a bit dissapointing. Another thing that irritated me was the squeaking it made during the cocking range of motion. Great video. New subscriber!
Thanks Gabe! For the price point, BSA fell short on this gun. Too bad. We're seeing this all too often when manufacturers of quality products sell out to the big guys. It's great to have you aboard. Thanks so much for subscribing.
True, BSA are getting sloppy. However, the problem with this air rifle is its barrel harmonics. You won’t get a decent group unless you stick a decent weight moderator on it. It has a half inch thread. Tighter groups will follow. Of course you can use a barrel harmonic tuner if you have the patience of a saint. Anyhow, either silencer or tuner will do the trick and lead to acceptable groups. Pity BSA are risking their reputation over the last couple of years. Lose it and it’s lost for a long time. Baz.

When i first saw a picture of this rifle , i said, wow, i gotta buy one. then i read some reviews. accuracy lacking mentioned in many of the reviews. I took a pass and didnt buy. how can BSA put so much effort into the stock on the rifle and not make it more accurate ? I have no idea.
The rifle in this video does not belong to me. However, my friend who owns it has been able to extract some very acceptable accuracy out of it. Evidently, the barrels are made by BSA, who are known for their high-quality barrels. Thanks so much for watching, my friend.
Hi Tim. Yeah, the trigger is the weakest link in the chain on that rifle. I'm not certain if it'll work on the BSA, but there's a mod that requires replacing the trigger adjustment screw with a longer one that makes a huge difference in some of the Gamo triggers. Thanks for watching, my friend.
The most disappointing gun I've purchased. BSA, if you're reading this, don't charge HW prices for Gamo quality guns. This gun made it less than a full tin before needing the piston seal to be replaced. Luckily I had a TX200 seal on my shelf which, even more luckily, was a direct fit replacement. To top it off, it is exactly a Gamo trigger as Kevin stated. This will be the last (new model) BSA that I purchase I think. I love the aesthetics of it but beyond that, big thumbs down.
With the piston seal, that could be the fault of the gun shop? I’ve been in a local gun shop where they dry-fired a spring piston as if that is ok. If your shop did this then could explain the piston seal?
@@arthurmow262 Its a direct competitor to the HW50S not the HW90. The 90 is a full blow magnum whereas the 50S and Meteor Super are both sub 12ftlb and relatively compact guns. Having a gas piston really doesn't make a difference. For what its worth, this gun would likely work much better with a coiled spring. I find the recoil on the 50S to be much more pleasant. Pound for pound, the 50 is a much better gun in every way imaginable for very similar price tags.
Went to the shop to have a closer look, cocked this BSA Meteor once real noisy spring, noisy grating cocking action, it aint German built that's for sure.
It isn’t a Spanish gamo gun. It’s Birmingham that the proper Birmingham in England that made guns for two world wars. I pick mine up later this week. So I can’t say how good or bad the trigger is but it was made new for this gun. According to the press release. The other thing is people who don’t know the meteor models alway harp on about the plastic cap if they did some home work they’d realise every meteor has that cap. That’s why it has the cap , to make it a meteor. I’m sure your right about the sights. Because if i tried to fit them on my GRT lightning the same would happen the higher cheek would get in the way. bsa make some sight Elevation blocks they fitted to the gold star and super star and the Polaris. The only meteor I don’t own is the mk6 but I can say my so-called gamo meteors that have stocks made in Italy with wood from Sweden and a British barrel. mk7 and evo shoot well with the gamo trigger. So there’s nothing wrong with the gamo trigger, there’s even a gold adjustable competition style trigger for them. For the price the Birmingham super meteor you tested should have the scope rail , same has the lightnings. I don’t know if they are a limited model or not, but ether way they are a future collectible. Hey don’t go out in the cold if it makes you grumpy. But loved the review. All the best.
Hi Dave, The Birmingham reputation stands on its own as does the the BSA reputation. You're welcome to disagree with my take on the rifle. There are lots of things to like about the gun but in my opinion, that triggers just plain sucks and with the exception of the location of the safety, the trigger on many Gamo rifles appears to be identical. Not grumpy in the least my friend. Don't mistake honest criticism for agitation. Thanks so much for your comment and your viewership.
@@razor1962 I was pulling your leg about being grumpy. Well , like it or not it's a massive improvement over the original super meteor , all that was a bog standard meteor with added cheekpiece and recoil pad 😣 great review and excellent video as always 💥👍🍻
Thanks so much my friend.
Hey Kevin my wheeler torque wrench came in today , thanks man 😎👍🏻
Congratulations Peter. Thanks as always.
I was pretty critical of this one, but I REALLY Got My Hopes Up for an honest ta God BSA ! 😟
I MISS BSA ! 😤
I was looking at getting one,not so sure now, thanks for the great review.
Thanks Iwan. In my opinion, for the money, you can do better.
Thanks as always my friend.
Right Iwan! Any air rifle, it does not matter what brand, quality or price that has unusable sights sucks. Period.
This gun is supposed to be made in Birmingham why the f has it gott a shit gamo trigger on it FFS
Then again I'm getting it as like the look of it Also swap the trigger out for a better one if it's shit but from what I've seen other people do your making a mess of this.l gun
I'm spoiled by the Weihrauch Record trigger and the Diana TO6 trigger. No Gamo triggers for me. Thanks for the informative review.
Thanks so much for watching.
I own several BSA rifles, a .22, a 30-06, a 250 Savage, a 300 Savage, a 243, and a 303 Brit, none of them are air rifles though.
BSA has a well-deserved reputation for quality. You own some fine rifles, my friend. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for mentioning the sights I nearly got one for that reason
I'm glad you were sparred the disappointment. Thanks for watching, my friend.
Good honest review, as always. I for one liked the stock. Would make a good starter break barell for someone.
Thanks Scott. It would I suppose if you scoped it. Those open sights are practically unusable. Not a bad gun but it's overpriced for what it is.
It's really a shame. The gun does have several redeeming qualities but they're overshadowed by its flaws.
BSA stood behind England for Several Generations... England should have DONE THE SAME ! ☝️🤨 GAMO my arse... 🤦🏼♂️ BSA was a British institution ! 😕
Great video!! When we could see the hw95 with the vortek kit?? 😁😁🙂🙂 I am waiting for that video!! Greetings from Mexico 🙂✌️✌️
I'd happily take a better trigger in exchange for no safety. Tell me about the GRT. Wondering if it's worthwhile.
@Timothy Ward I will. Thank you Timothy.
Can't go wrong with a bsa they make some really nice rifles
They've made many nice guns over the years however, I feel that this one falls short of my expectations of a BSA airgun.

That's a gun I'm sure you would like Kevin if you can get hold of one there......
Thanks Junglie. I'll have to agree with you my friend.
Cheers!
I'd have to agree Ron. You pretty much hit the nail on the head.
Thanks as always my friend.
Yeah... you can't reasonably market this rifle against an HW30 or HW50S/HW99. That's a Fool's Errand... 🥴
It definitely looks nice 🙂👍. I agree with you on almost every aspect of this rifle, for likes and dislikes. The only thing I don't like about a gas spring, it seemed to destroy my scope's fast, but maybe that will be different with an 11 FPE rifle.
Yeah, this rifle's recoil is pretty light. I wouldn't expect an airgun rated scope to fail.
Thanks as always my friend.

Your Rammed BSA SS is an excellent example. 😉👍
The original BSA Meteor was the UK's Red Ryder...we all had one, ran between 7-10 ft/lbs depending on condition and calibre, great hammer forged barrel and could have good accuracy if the barrel pivot pin was tight..
Despite the name, this is really a Spanish Gamo I suspect..though they are claiming the barrel is being made by the original BSA in the UK
Should be accurate
It's a decent rifle. It's owner was able to produce some very respectable groups with it.
Thanks for watching, my friend.
Nice.
But the HW77 or Diana 460 for me.
Both are fantastic rifles. Thanks for watching, my friend
BSA guns are gorgeous, it's a shame they arent made well anymore.
And yes to the OP, I've noticed as much but as Jack said there's usually a larger point to the difference in displacement and a simple deviation can get a rifle pulled from market or banned ! 🤷🏼♂️
On the upside this has produced some particularly fine and versatile rifles in the U.K. 😃👍
An Experienced 12 fpe.

Yeah. It's kind of a love / hate thing with that stock. I like it too.

There is an aftermarket trigger that should work but it will require doing away with the safety.

same old bsa problems their pcp guns have decent triggers but never springers or gas rams nice vid mate cheers
Best example being the greater difference between the HW90 and HW 80 triggers.
Thank you. I'll forward this info to the rifle's owner. Thanks for watching my friend.
How many air rifles do you own? What do you think about webely air rifles. Thanks for a nice channel.🙂
Hello,
I think that Webley made a high quality airgun. Most of their triggers were pretty basic although my Eclipse has a wonderful trigger.
Thanks so much for watching.
I have an original Webley Stingray, brummie made. I would not sell it.
I wouldn't buy any Turkish "Webley " rifles.

Looks nice, the cut out is a bit too deep for my taste. You must be a real BSA fan to choose this over a HW50 or 30.
The comb geometry of the BSA "IS" actually incompatible with the axis of the action. A 20 MOA riser would likely work for a scope, but as Kevin stated, the iron sights are unfortunately useless. 😕

Over the last three decades I am continually amazed by the quality of Weihrauch and Diana sights.
And mind you the comb is specifically designed for 20 MOA mounts, it's also adjustable and can easily drop 1/2" without the cheek riser shims... 🤷🏼♂️ Extremely fast pointing, but it IS none the less a Running Target rifle. 😉
Since the cheek piece is so annoying, you may compensate by zeroing the open sights for 50 meters and above. That will solve the problem.

I didn't own a trigger pull gauge at the time.

Very Well Stated ! 😉👍
Baz.

The rifle in this video does not belong to me. However, my friend who owns it has been able to extract some very acceptable accuracy out of it. Evidently, the barrels are made by BSA, who are known for their high-quality barrels.
Thanks so much for watching, my friend.
Shame about the trigger. Iv got 3 x older BSA air rifles. All have excellent triggers. I fancied one till you mentioned the Gamo trigger.
Yeah, it was something of a disappointment.
Thanks for everything my friend.
If that is a gas ram then the comparable HW90 is far more expensive so not sure BSA are charging Weihrauch prices.
With the piston seal, that could be the fault of the gun shop? I’ve been in a local gun shop where they dry-fired a spring piston as if that is ok. If your shop did this then could explain the piston seal?
@@arthurmow262 No from the looks of it the piston seal was knicked on the cutout for the cocking linkage during install.
I prefer the German air guns tbh (especially Weihrauch).

For the price
the Birmingham super meteor you tested should have the scope rail , same has the lightnings. I don’t know if they are a limited model or not,
but ether way they are a future collectible. Hey don’t go out in the cold if it makes you grumpy.

Hi Dave,
The Birmingham reputation stands on its own as does the the BSA reputation. You're welcome to disagree with my take on the rifle. There are lots of things to like about the gun but in my opinion, that triggers just plain sucks and with the exception of the location of the safety, the trigger on many Gamo rifles appears to be identical.
