Crazy that id need to apply for a licence for a 12ft/lbs air rifle or under now, yet my 410fps crossbow and my cold steel cheap shot 130 are perfectly legal to keep. Scotland has some very stupid laws.
On that rifle did you find the cocking lever wobbled a bit? I have a Meteor MK3 and cannot for the life of me find a cause for the lever wobble, nothing is loose, I'm wondering whether it's just how the rifle always is? it's firm when being cocked, but prior to being cocked and after it's wobbly.
i have made my qon before using a little bit of rubber hose cut to about 6mm or so, worked better than nothing, a perfectly fitting O-ring may work too.
Another great in depth video Mike 👌a bit off topic but I've got a couple of pistol crossbows when you have the time could you make the stock extender for the Tomcat2 as i would like a couple off you, best wishes to you mate 👍
hello. Yesterday I found a BSA Meteor with the serial number ND 8116. The only info´s I could find at a forum was it should be a MK 2 Super Meteor 1967-1969. Can that be right? Later I found out it is a MK3 . I did a chrony test with the MK 3 and the results are disappointing .With a 5.7 gr. lead free pellet I got 3.6 fpe . How much power does had these guns new at the late 60´s ?? And would you recommend a mainspring wich produce close to 12 fpe??? Or is it to much for this little air rifle !!!! Thanks for an answer ! Greetings from Norway
Awesome video bro just wondering actually what is your target made of ? I’m trying to make one for a crossbow but not sure if I’m making it to strong I’ve kind of done what you did with the stab vest but with loads of card board and empty boxes what would you recommend mate
Thanks mate, yes that target is a washing powder box stuff with newspapers, i layer the papers and magazines in it , i have a video, i'll post a link, brb
Awesome thanks mate I glued tones of boxes together but was like it was to strong the bolts would bounce off of it most of time haha thanks will try this 🙏👍🏻
Great work Mike came out excellent, with that gun blue did you dilute it with water or use straight out the bottle I was just wondering as the gun blue I bought said to dilute it first and I couldn't really get it to re-blue my air rifle. Cheers mate.
Thanks Stu, straight out of the bottle mate, that bisley stuff is like a gel, (looks and has the consistency of hair gel), and another i have used was a liquid, but can't remember either mentioning diluting them.
@@WeaponCollector yes well you know they say about your first, you never forget your first I've had a lot of Guns since then and I have never once thought about hurting another person but here we are being regulated for something we didn't do I know it's out of context mentioning the UK gun regulations but I'm just a bit pissed off when i had that old BSA no and cared whether it was over 12 foot lb.
Rob Woof Definitely it is a li title hard to see but u can see difference for the better keep up good. Work mate ,,,,,,,,hope you’re well all the best 👍🏻👍🏻👊🏻
Glad you like it Jim, nearly like new, i had to put your old seal back in it as i think that new one was too big, will still shoot perfect though as the seal was still good condition, i'll zero the sight soon.
Mike, to be honest, I dont go out much anyways, so I havnt really noticed any difference lol Yeah happy 40th on the 29th mate. I got a couple of weapons...two nice catapults from the Mrs...I'll send you pics via FB. :)

Nice change of pace Mike, this was really interesting. You look like you could be a Victorian Military Captain or gunsmith with the mutton chops.
haha, i can see exactly what you mean mate, lol, glad you liked it.
That looks great. That's probably one of the better home restorations of a rifle that's I've seen. Thanks for uploading.
Thanks Brody, came out alright in the end didn't it mate, glad you liked it

Is it possible to make your own breech seal for a .22 BSA Meteor from a washer/o-ring... or, whatever...any tips?
