I like your style. My first air rifle was a BSA Meteor .22 in the 1960’s. It was a hand me down from my Uncle Alec on my Grandma’s farm….. Ivy Cottage Farm, Cammeringham, Lincolnshire, England. I am a BSA fan for life!
Hi from UK Never owned a BSA Don't know why Had webleys and always thought BSA would probably be better Hope to find out one day Thanks for the vid Can't wait for the follow up 👍👍👍🇬🇧
Ola Travis, this new BSA Super Meteor (Birmingham) with the Minelli stock is impeccable. Meteor has always been the brand's best-selling break barrel. Looking forward to more videos, have a good week buddy.
Hi Travis from Birmingham England 🏴 BSA is generally a really nice quality manufacturer, there’s always going to be a Friday afternoon gun as there is in all manufacturing. A nice rifle made by Brummies. All the best to you and I love the videos
@alienairguns I have to agree, I associated the BSA with the sub 12 FPE rule in the UK. I just found the Ham test of this rifle where your Fpe is confirmed. Pellet picky if you ask me.
I've calculated that at being just over the legal limit in the UK. Interesting to see what it would Chrono over a range of pellets. Unfortunately in the UK if your air rifle is checked and it's over the 12fp limit you could be in trouble. The police can use any pellets they wish not necessarily the pellets you are using with the gun. So another pellet could push it further over. I can only assume this rifle was made for export to the USA .
If it's new, it could be dieseling, which can take the power up a little. It might seltte down a little once all of the packing oil and grease has been cleaned from the barrel.
That looks like a proper, proper air rifle. Nice shot spread decent accuracy, imagine with a scope. Cool video Travis and Thanks for braving the weather for us
Hello, my friend, The Minelli stock is made from Beech. It looks like a great air rifle with great potential to be a good air rifle. If you want to be great with your air rifle, you'll have to bear in mind artillary hold. Your air rifle is a spring piston, meaning the recoil caused when you pull the trigger will cause your muzzle to move. You'll have to hold your air rifle exactly the same way on every shot. Otherwise, your accuracy will differ. If you wore a padded jacket then a t-shirt, your accuracy wouldn't be the same because of the thickness and flex in the material. Your air rifle is beautiful and I hope you like it. They are harder to shoot than pcp's, that's partly why pcps are more popular. I have the BSA R12 CLX PRO. I find it fantastic. Everything about it, just fantastic. Best wishes, my friend.
This is my open sight gun, used a 40mm objective Hawke, then reduced weight with a 32mm Hawke and back to open sights. It is as light as a feather I feel a scope spoils it, so sweet to keep it simple. (.22 Webley AccuPell) are its FAV, I believe these are H&N rebadged.
The more modern style stock has a higher comb to compliment the use of a scope, I agree it's nice to have the option of using open sights and not have that extra weight on top of your rifle, yes, 2-7x 32mm Vantage or Airmax is nice for minimizing extra bulk & weight. Good to hear the open sights are still usable. My HW77K laminate stock seems to be at the limit of still allowing the iron sights to be comfortably usable which I guess also depends on face size/shape.
That is a beautiful rifle. Love the chrony numbers and it looks like it will group great when the wind isn't howling. I recently rebuilt one of those for a guy but it was about 40 years old.
I hope to get one of these at some point, looks like a modern take on a traditional sporting spring rifle, interested to see how it shoots with a compact scope and calmer weather. As gusts of wind come in and it starts sleeting, "This is not optimal" made me chuckle.
I got the Diana Chaser and nailed a fat dove today. Again, I love the wood stocks on guns. Very nice gun, by the way. I really like that gun a lot I bet that thing would make those squirrels eat dust.
Great job Travis. Beautiful Minelli stock. You know its a British made Gamo with quality steel barrel and lockup. The Gamo Coyote and Urban rifles have BSA barrels and breeches in them. Timmy's not going to lime i LOL is it a sub 12 ft/lb rifle?
I think the crosman vantage NP is a better shooter. its shooting about 175 fps faster. I do love the look and quality finish on the BSA. when you consider quality/price/value/customer service its hard to beat a crosman nitro piston.
Airguns of Arizona has the gun listed normally $499.00, on sale for $199.99. I finally decided to chrony my Hatsan Mod 25 Supercharger pistol. I wanted to see how close to it's claimed 800fps it would get. Using Gamo Bluefire alloy pellets, it averaged about 780fps, and hit a high of just over 800. Just for the hell of it, I took out a few of my weird Skenco plastic pellets (they claim to be 40% metal). They're super-light. Those things shot over 950fps. I think the highest was 993fps. Impressive, until you consider the incredibly poor accuracy past about 20 yards.
It’s got some attractive features, one person said the sights were hard to use due to high cheek weld on the stock. But 615 FPS with CPHPs? That’s hard to stomach when every other break barrel does at least 800 FPS in the US. Why would BSA sell a detuned air rifle here? I’ll be honest though, I only see it on Airguns of Arizona so maybe they imported it and BSA is not looking at the US market with it
I don’t think it’s too terribly underpowered. It’s very easy to shoot as well. It does benefit from a scope though. The stock isn’t quite the best for open sights.
Nice group... I could never get that type of group out of the box with my Crosman or Benjamin... still can't... Defiantly looking into UK or German made... Happy Thanksgiving to you, as well... 😎
Nice review. Nice to see gps velocities out the box. Did you know the size of treads in front of the barrel? Also Is possible to remove the front sight? Thank you.
Too bad it's sub 12 Fpe, and the price is too high for that. I have a BSA Comet Evo GRT which is a fertilization of Gamo with BSA. Fortunately with the cold forged barrel. I thought I had an Englishman in the house with my Webley Quantum. Only discovered by chance that they are made by Hatsan. Fortunately, no quality problems for which Hatsan is somewhat known.
I'm thinking about taking up air rifle shooting since watching this How Far Can You Shoot A Sub 12 Foot Lb Air Rifle ruclips.net/video/D247YZCjV8E/видео.html
It really depends on the rifle. It 30-35 yards pretty easily and accurately. After that there’s a lot of factors. I’ve shot cans and stuff way further.
My grandad worked in the bsa factory so for that reason, any air rifle I’ve owned has always been a bsa.

After shooting British and German air rifles; it's hard to go back to the Turkish and Spanish's guns.
Great video, nice to see the Meteor all the way from Birmingham, England in your video! Thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it
The threaded bit at the end is for fitting a sound moderator (silencer). Common practice in Britain. Takes a little bit of the bark out of it.
BSA made the best bikes and the best guns , they put the lee endfield 4 into its sniper configuration in ww2 , and they were legendary
I also am a BSA motorcycle fan. Some of the nicest looking engines ever made.
Left hand)!respect from Ukraine!

I'm from the Uk too and kind of the reverse of you. I had BSA's and Diana's but never had a Webly.
This gun could have been a winner if not for all the plastic parts

Thanks Luis!
Gracias x responderme ,feliz navidad!!
It's birch. They make great barrels. Gamo owns them though and has for some time.
Awesome! I think your gonna want to hang on to this one

Thats a beauty!
That's some beautiful wood!
That's a sharp looking rifle! Thanks for the review Travis!
Great looking wood on this one boss ! 👍
@timmy4539. It is an English made Gamo brother. LOL
@@gmanneod8085 lol I know but the stock has nothing to do with the way the gun shoots ! Lol lol
BSA gas ram, 12 FPE, 200 Donald's at AoA. Definitely has a nice stock.
Good shooting Travis.
With this ridiculous but attractive price, it looks like they want to get rid of the BSA brand, just like Krale in the Netherlands.
It'll shootb15ft/lbs with alloy pellets.
@@j.verfaillie5742 Hard to say. Must have not been flying off the shelves?

Gas piston best $199 one can spend on a airgun BSA make some of the bast airguns
Pretty nice I've used a BSA scope it was nice never a rifle I know BSA is popular over in the UK... Again another nice video

It's right at 12fpe with 14.5s, which I think is why it shoots so good.

That would be fun to destroy stuff with. That’s pretty nuts to get that kind of velocity.
Try the GTO pellets I won the national field with that rifle and the GTO pellets just a great spring gun

Nice review.

Thank you.
Range of gun
For hunting? I’d say 40-45 yards. I can consistently do under 2” at 40. For targets, I guess it depends on how big your target is.
She is a pretty gal.
Only negatives I've heard is the trigger?

How loud is it?
It isn’t bad at all. About like a Crosman nitro piston. It’s a 12 fpe gun which keeps it a little tamer I think.
Sweet! Thank you!
Plastic parts shame to hard bend 2cm of steel plate eeeeehhhh
