Been battling this problem for a while too, current setup is AWE cat back with vibrant ultra quiet resonators, I think I'm going to add this into the setup to quiet things down, thanks for posting this!

Best thing for rasp on these 3.0T engines is exhaust wrap! I have test pipes that are wrapped and my stock downpipes also wrapped tight and I have no rasp! Its a resonance from the steel that causes it and wrap takes out that sharp tone!

I wrapped my test pipes but not the downpipes. I might give that a try. The Gibson has seemed to take the actual rasp out though.

You need the AWE exhaust touring Edition it's the best system for our vehicle...they also have a track Edition that's 300$ cheaper but it's really aggressive I seriously recommend the touring edition it's perfect for the streets no drone ....Hella aggressive look it up bro...I'm in los angeles as well ....in the same area your in ...that's crazy

So i've been researching the exhaust... with test pipe only there is .51 Gallons of less volume compared to OE cats. This creates increased velocity. The 2.25" midpipes with baby resonator flow 80% of what the 2.5" straight pipe does. ( you gain .250 Gallons of volume ). By the time you get to the tunnel brace you have still save .360 gallons of volume compared to OE cats/downpipes/stock baby resonators/midpipe , meaning velocity is increased overall compared to full OEM exhaust. With this setup there is also the least possible turbulence / wave collisions. Carvenexhaust has a beautiful looking 2.5" OD xpipe 30" long with an 8" merge that would help maintain that increased velocity due to the fact that exhaust gases will be likely dropping in temperature now that we are about 11 feet of pipe deep. This brings us to the location of the oem center "suitcase" resonator. I think this is where there should be some 15 degree bent 2.5" pipe (near same position and angle as OEM) , and now the Gibson 'anti rasp' muffler can be pointing straight to the rear. I google searched the inside of the muffler you have , and inside it has an xpipe that has a bunch of 'baffle' style slits/holes evenly spaced out. The OEM mufflers are 'straight through' type with a baffled wall at the entrance packed with acoustic fiberglass and a baffled j tube before a final baffled wall at the exit. I spent a long time calculating the volumes and searching for what inside of the gibson muffler looked like. The store page only has a photo for the MWA type which is just a straight through pipe that is cut at the half way mark. The only other non-packed muffler 2.5" dual inlet/outlet i could find was the flowmaster delta/super 40/44/50. Black widow has some very minimalistic non-packed style mufflers that just have an 'hourglass' type wall inside , they could be a 'new' option compared to vibrant ultraquiets or the borla lamilar type tubes for a rear mufflers delete. Hope youre doing well dude been dropping likes on every comment when i rewatch a video. I really like the Milltek MStip261 , i would love to use those with an RS7 rear valence, too bad they're 300 dollars for left and 300 for the right lmao

Yeah at some point I want to look into re-doing my entire exhaust. Something lighter to save weight would be nice but I want it to sound good also. I see some run Tubular headers but not sure if there's any benefit and they probably add weight.

    nice videos!
sounds great!. i have a magnaflow resonated x pipe in downpipes where stock small resonators were and the flowmaster version in the middle of car where the mid muffler was (so 2 resonated x pipes a few feet away from eachother)
my issue is what you mentioned. it sounded good but geting more raspy again and im almost certain the pakcing in the magnaflow is completely gone since when under car it sounds like alot of noise now coming from inside that magnaflow.
im debating try one of theese gibsons, or a second flowmaster version where the magnaflow was
