    • @cmidas3396

      No, there should be no fuel smell aside from what came out after removing the hpfp. There may be some residual fuel smell initially form what came out from removing the hpfp bit it should go away. If not, check for leaks at the fuel line fittings at the hpfp.

      @johnbriscoejr9738 I did but only for a very short time until I was able to have it tuned. The bypass valve will just vent any extra boost that's over stock levels. You should atleast have an aftermarket HX and lower heatrange sparkplugs though to keep things safe because the charger will still be spinning faster resulting in higher intake temps.

    Tip for anyone removing diffuser. I just had to do this today since I'm installing S7 Sport mufflers, so I needed a diffuser that had a quad exhaust setup. I was able to unclip the side of the diffuser, but when it came to every clip after the thing would not budge. I was pulling so hard I was afraid I was gonna rip the tabs off the bumper that go into the diffuser. My trick was to pull enough to see the tab from the bumper that goes into the diffuser (tabs point down from bumper into diffuser). Take a panel wedge or small screwdriver, and stick it between the bumper and the diffuser and twist to release the tab up from the diffuser. Each tab you release will have the diffuser come out more and more so you can move to the next clip.

    Nawww bro. 😂 You still need that auxiliary heat exchanger. Unless you’re divorcing the engine and supercharger cooling system; the smaller heat exchanger serves the purpose of further cooling down the coolant that circulates through the radiator right before it reaches the supercharger. Yes you will see better temps for the simple fact of upgrading your main heat exchanger but all im saying is that aux heat exchanger is there for a reason. Still great job on the shortening the hoses in the system espeacially on the A6’s.

    • @cmidas3396
      @cmidas3396 2 месяца назад

      In theory it should but it doesn't. When you move to the bigger HX, leaving the smaller hx will restrict flow. You want as much flow as possible. This is common knowledge in the 3.0t community fyi. Also I have a divorced system now.

    • @cmidas3396
      @cmidas3396 2 месяца назад

      Most of us change them when they break or upgrading to a aftermarket sport or race mount. You can check if one or both of your mounts are broken by with the hood up, car running while pressing hard on the brake pedal also press the gas pedal a few times and watch to see if there is excessive engine movement. Most of the time one of the motor mounts breaks so you see one side of the motor raise higher than the other. You can try googling 3.0t motor mount check procedure to see it demonstrated and what it looks like.

      No it's not too late. That's around the time I started modding mine. Just stay on top of maintenance.

    Hey man - I see you've had your Allroad for a while now and I'm interested in getting one. There's a locally available 2002, air suspension swapped for shocks & springs, and receipts available for recent timing and other maintenance work done. I'm not new to Audis, having owned an A4 B5 1.8T for a little while now. We are looking for our second Audi (I know lol) and it has to be a family car that can be used for occasional rural driving, but mainly city. I'm looking at either a Q7 with the 3.0 TDI, a Q5 with the 2.0 TDI or the Allroad with the 2.7TT. All things considered (expensive maintenance on diesel engines, and a plethora of different issues that could arise), what would you recommend? I can do maintenance work myself. Thanks in advance!

      Hard to say because I have no experience with the tdi engines. I would lean towards something newer honestly for something to be used as a daily. That being said I'd say research common issues /problems with one of the newer models you've mentioned.

    I know it’s been a minute since you posted this but where did you get those hard lines for the R32 calipers from? I’m trying to the same thing for a TT I just picked up

    I have the exact same Audi, thanks for the video by the way, so would it be 30 to 40c for mine also, also have a question. What is the purpose of the VCDS?

    • @cmidas3396
      @cmidas3396 3 месяца назад

      Depends how much comes out and how much you get back in before it rises to the fill level. Vcds is used to monitor the fluid temperature in this case. Vcds is primarily used to connect to the ecu & tcu as well as other modules & sensors during repairs / diagnostics.

      @@cmidas3396 OK thank you for that, do I need to use the CDS or can I use the temperature reading gun would that be OK?

    • @cmidas3396
      @cmidas3396 3 месяца назад

      @ohitslit I'm not sure if a temperature gun will give an accurate reading vs the reading from vcds.
