    Thank you for the detailed review. You told me everything I wanted to know and then some. I was looking at one today and will probably pick it up tomorrow. I wouldn’t have bought the bronze one though. The stainless band is a big improvement for my taste and the finish of the bezel gives it kind of a platinum look.

    • @theknightswatch

      Thanks for watching and I agree it does have a premium almost platinum look because of that color and metal combo

    I love it, I think its a great looking watch at a steep discount compared to the inhouse Black Bay 58 or 54. The next watch on my list to get is the Bathyscape in 38mm and I have a 6.25" wrist so with this and the BB54 I'm happy to see some smaller divers being made I just need to try one on and make sure it works. Great review, thanks!

    • @theknightswatch
      @theknightswatch  11 месяцев назад

      Absolutely smaller divers have a cool mix between sporty and dressy and I think that’s much needed. Never seen the 38mm blab pain in person but I don’t doubt. It wore well. I remember trying on a 42mm now discontinued diver from blanclain(can’t remember the name) and was surprised how nice it wore.

    Another great indepth review! I always liked this Sixty Five design, nice colour on this one. I know what you mean with that slightly granular SW200 winding, I did read or hear someone say the SW200 doesn't like to be wound, and I have had two SW200 movements in two watches that had to be sent back to Switzerland to be repaired or replaced, not sure which, and annoyingly one has gone all helicopter on me again... Thanks for the review!!

    • @theknightswatch
      @theknightswatch  Год назад +2

      Thank you! And us it’s an odd one to have a watch that has winding functionality and people say oh ya don’t wind that 😂. Guess watch companies expect us to have winders. I’ve only had the helicopter effect once thankfully, I believe it was just a needing of lunrication that fixed it but I don’t remember clearly.

    • @Nefville
      @Nefville Год назад +2

      You're absolutely right, you should never wind an SW-200 or any ETA 2824 or its clones. I'm not a watchmaker but as I understand it its an issue with the reversing gears in the winding mechanism. There is a TON of debate on the subject and specifically what causes it. I've personally had the issue with all but one 2824 or clone I've owned whether I hand wound them frequently or not and I haven't handwound any 2824 since the first one had issues. Not a bad movement though, just not capable of being handwound as it should.

    One of my favs to come out in a long time, I first thought green initially as in my mind, blue is over played. However, this blue is just great, it will be on my short list

    • @theknightswatch
      @theknightswatch  11 месяцев назад

      I feel the same way. Darn why another blue dial… and then it’s just good 😂 can’t go wrong with blue but for those who like green the green is actually very nicely done

    Great review. Love their divers sixty-five platform, but the 733 refs are just a touch thick and the 19mm lug width makes it slightly annoying when i want to swap to a 20mm rubber strap with quick release.

    • @theknightswatch
      @theknightswatch  Год назад

      I get you! I’ve had so many 19mm lugs over the years it’s a nonissue for me now. I feel a lot of companies do 19, even in Amazon. But I get ya!

    Loved the review. I was considering the bronze version for the longest time and I think this actually looks better while maintaining that fun atmosphere. I think you'd like reviewing the somewhat similar HVD SpectreDiver, with the hand-wound SW210 and acrylic crystal (developed by the owners of RZE).

    • @theknightswatch

      Agree with ya liked the dial of the bronze but not the bronze 😂 and interesting didn’t know they had another brand. Doesn’t grab me overly on first impression but we’ll see what else they come out with

      @@theknightswatch As much as I like that original bronze color, I'm not a big fan of the patina. Imo, always room for more titanium watches and RZE seem to love doing that. Looking forward to the next review!

      I see how the colors could be interpreted as cool and make the watch more ... unisex or having a characteristic of spring. This one has a weird vibe to it though, especially on the white strap. Makes my skin crawl. Hard pass.

    I think you should review the Aquis Cherry Red 41.5 mm. Owning the Cherry, when I look at this watch, I see all of the little touches that are missing. If you like this one; you'll love the Aquis Cherry Red.

    • @theknightswatch
      @theknightswatch  9 месяцев назад

      The cherry red I would love if it was a nice laquered red like the this watch or the pointer date series. I’m just not the biggest fan of sunburst dials.

      Good point c Ward escaped my brain during the video. I would say this oris, at least to me, is better looking than that specific ward. But you can’t argue with quality for the price Ward offers.

    You sold the deep pink Club for the electric green right? I'm hesitating between the green and future orange myself, agonising choice haha.

    • @theknightswatch
      @theknightswatch  11 месяцев назад

      Ya I did, not directly. Sold the pink a while ago and ended up really liking the green. And ya it’s a hard one between the two. I personally haven’t seen the future orange in person but it does look like the brighter color between the two. Depends on how standout you want the watch to be too.

      @@theknightswatch Interesting! Ended up buying the coral version, it's wonderful. Fun but restrained enough to be worn every day, which is what I bought it for. Delighted! Did you notice that the second hand have orange lume in it? It's especially striking when you let the sun shine on the dial and then go under the shade, the whole dial gets darker (obviously lol) but the second hand does not! Really cool. Cheers, your review of the original club 36 helped a lot.

    • @theknightswatch
      @theknightswatch  11 месяцев назад

      @@owl23452 interesting I have a review on the cream coral soon as a borrow from nomos and mine didn’t have any lume on the seconds hand on the 36 🤷🏻‍♂️ maybe you got a special one 😂

      @@theknightswatch Oh that's great, I'll look forward to it. Regarding the second hand, lmao, that's so weird! The AD showed it to me and demonstrated it with a UV light, and wearing it I can tell it's there pretty easily! Have you tried what I just mentioned? (On a bright day, put the watch in the sunlight then go in the shade. To be clear, the second hand doesn't glow in the dark at all, it's a different type of lume).

    The distortion from the crystal is one of the charms of a domed crystal. Especially vintage hesalite crystals. It’s a good thing they can replicate it with sapphire. Moving an index to adjust for distortion is moronic. You’re only from adjusting for one angle of view. What do you do about the other angles. Adjustable indeces? Adjust for every angle of view? Give me a break.

    • @theknightswatch

    Don't like the color - too baby-boy blue which telegraphs low testosterone. I don't like the fake rivets. The caseback looks cheap and nasty being only etched. The clasp doesn't have on-the-fly micro-adjustment. Monta, Christopher Ward and Formex has overtaken Oris in that mid-tier Swiss watch bracket. I'd like to get into Oris but they need to improve their offerings big time for the prices they are asking. 5 day power reserves are unnecessary and here's why. If you have just the one watch then power reserve is irrelevant as it's going to keep fully charged from constant wear. If you have multiple watches (say 3+) then you don't want 5 day power reserve as it just means the watch is sitting in the box wearing out the gears for no reason. 48-70hrs is the ideal amount. The lack of lum at 6 is disappointing.
