I think this was a huge PROBLEM in the Ewing family that Miss Ellie, and Jock never talked about. They never talked about how they would raise their children, and everything. But JR should have at LEAST been co-president along with Bobby instead of Bobby just been President of Ewing Oil.

I am JR Ewing today. I’m fairly wealthy, ruthless, and a chief antagonist. What makes it more assured to me is I had a beautiful wife, who I am currently divorced from. Oil goes up and down. It's gone through periods of years at a time where it went down and lost money. In the '90s, oil wasn't doing very well and the companies were losing profits in large numbers. Recently, due to COVID and the lockdowns, they've experienced a similar setup because less people are driving and flying. Oil is unpredictable, much like gold and silver.
An oil tanker, with 600,000 bbl of crude, mysteriously disappears on the high seas... sounds like the work of Ragnar Danneskjold, from "Atlas Shrugged".
What is amazing in all of this is the way that the female mind works. I remember when Larry Hagman played Major Nelson on "I Dream of Jeannie". He was The lovable, fumbling bumbling Major that everybody liked. Whenever he became Jr Ewing on Dallas, his popularity with the female persuasion went through the roof. Even though he mistreated them, use them as a means for an end, he was a philanderer, a cheater, and everything else most women say they don't like in a man. The only thing I can figure is that the females were attracted to him because he was very powerful, and very strong-willed. At least that is what his character portrayed.

He was with so many in the beginning of the show unnamed then there was Julie, Marilee, Kristin, Afton, Holly, Luella, Lesley, April, Katherine, Mandy, Kimberly, Michelle even Sly in the end. Sad thing is, J.R. never took Sue Ellen anywhere nor did the show have them go on vacation. They were billionaires, they could have had J.R. take her somewhere other than South Fork like he took Julie, Kristin and Mandy. I thought that was bizarre the writers didn't think of that. J.R. loved to make Sue Ellen mad to have fun making up with her. He wouldn't let Sue Ellen go. (Lucy gets the funny papers...lol. Lucy had everyone figured out. ) After seven years of being faithful to JR; Sue Ellen was with Ray, Cliff, JR again, Dusty, Clint, JR, Dusty, JR she married again, Dusty again, JR again, Nick and Don. (Wish they kept Nick & Sue Ellen as a couple, or Dusty and Sue Ellen... great chemistry. If they gave us viewers a break from Sue Ellen & JR saga and had Sue Ellen move on with Dusty fully recovered on SC Ranch for a couple seasons would have been more interesting.)

If only Sue Ellen knew how many mistresses J R. actually had. She knew of some, but I don't think she knew about Serena that lasted the duration of the show. Serena was his true go to gal. He was with so many in the beginning of the show unnamed then there was Julie, Marilee, Kristin, Afton, Holly, Luella, Lesley, April, Katherine, Mandy, Kimberly, Michelle even Sly in the end.
Sad thing is, J.R. never took Sue Ellen anywhere nor did the show have them go on vacation. They were billionaires, they could have had J.R. take her somewhere other than South Fork like he took Julie, Kristin and Mandy. I thought that was bizarre the writers didn't think of that. J.R. loved to make Sue Ellen mad to have fun making up with her. He wouldn't let Sue Ellen go. (Lucy gets the funny papers...lol. Lucy had everyone figured out. )
After seven years of being faithful to JR; Sue Ellen was with Ray, Cliff, JR again, Dusty, Clint, JR, Dusty, JR she married again, Dusty again, JR again, Nick and Don. (Wish they kept Nick & Sue Ellen as a couple, or Dusty and Sue Ellen... great chemistry. If they gave us viewers a break from Sue Ellen & JR saga and had Sue Ellen move on with Dusty fully recovered on SC Ranch for a couple seasons would have been more interesting.)
Michelle wasnt Jr mistress nor April. He slept with April once to seal their partnership.
And of course everyone can guess JR was behind the tanker “sinking.” Besides which, the oil and the ship would be insured.
Makes me remember a stupid oil boardgame where you could Insurance your oil transports but nothing ever focking happened.
