me too after his departure Dallas no longer had any meaning for me, Bobby without Pam it was no longer Bobby, the couple Romeo and Juliet had disappeared, and without Pamela the wickedness of Jr no longer had any interest because Dallas had lost its balance between good and evil, or honesty and cheating, and the duo JR/Pamela brought this balance
I'm not sure that Victoria Principal ever got the recognition she should have for her contributions to the show. Pamela was a fantastic character, but very often underrated.
@@eddieboyky people tend to use the word underrated in the wrong way. Victoria Principal was EVERYWHERE back then. Dallas, Jhirmak shampoo commercials, singing duets with Andy Gibb, lol, and dozens of tv movies. Not underrated at all. She was highly skilled and beautiful, but I dont know if she was strong enough to ever be the lead actor in a series, however. Is that what you mean?
@@Mister_Listener Thanks so much for the unnecessary vocab lesson, dude. I was very much around back then and I was a huge VP fan. i know what all she was in and did and etc. Reread my comment, including the part you obviously glossed over and take it as I meant it in the context of the show Dallas and her contributions to it as an actress. That's what I stated in the first of my two sentences. Then look and see that I used the word "underrated" to refer to the character of Pamela, and not VP herself. Instead of rushing to issue pompous corrections next time, consider reading for context and comprehension. I wrote what I meant and I meant what I wrote.
I love your tribute to Pamela, who was much too important to Dallas to just vanish. Victoria Principal is Pamela. She CANNOT be replaced. I would have included scenes from Swan Song. Victoria Principal was phenomenal in both the driveway and bedside scenes. When Victoria Principal screams, we also feel the pain Pam experiences having just lost the love of her life. When she jumps after the monitor beeps, Victoria Principal steals the scene from the other actors. She was nominated for best actress for her performance.
I just watched Swan Song for like the hundredth time. Pam and Bobby confessing that they still love each other is one of the most romantic things I’ve ever seen. “I love you so much my heart hurts,” Pam tells Bobby. Wow! These two are sensational together. They are the only reason I watch Dallas. Them and, I love Pam.
Agree 100% BobbyDamiano. She was the heart of the show along with Miss Ellie. Thanks a lot for your feedback, and please suggest new themes for our next supersoapy videos! Toni from supersoaps.org.
I adore this wonderful sweet beautiful lady. I watch her still.im 60 .use to watch dallas aged 17 with my family. I cry of those great good old days...pam made dallas..without her the lifht went out..xx
from the acting point: the main cast were amazing. Linda Gray, Patrick Duffy, Larry Hagman, Victoria Principal. they all nailed there characters. This is what I call acting and all the dialogues they had. Big respect.
Numbers 12 and 4 should move closer to the top. Two other memorable scenes were: 1) Pam slapping JR when he asked her if she tried a few Frenchmen while in the south of France, and 2) Pam slapping Katherine when she learned Katherine wrote the letter to break up Pam and Bobby.
Dallas é a melhor série de sempre!!!eu era pequeno e lembro me de dar em França e agora estou em Portugal e dá também e sempre que lá estou e posso ver não perco um episódio
It's a shame because I think Pamela's best performance in issue #1 remains the second episode of season 8 "Battle Lines" near the end of the episode. She's just extraordinary, Pamela's bloody look, Bruce Broughton's music. In short, she is a superb and memorable actress for this series.
Hmm..DEF missing is the 'slap' Pam gave Katherine over the bogus divorce letter. lol. One of the BEST & most pivotal scenes Pam was in every possible way + during the shows absolute peak. Also, Swan Song!! She *nailed that to the core and should've at least gotten an Emmy nom! Either of those 2 should've been top 5 at least.
❤ I love how at 2:55 the subtitles go for “Ying” rather than “Ewing”. Given the context knowledge & metadata, this should be easy to remedy! Via AI, and… If the upcoming team at YT need some QC, there’s a whole armada of YT users 100% committed to correcting those of us occasionally making spelling mistakes. They seem to enjoy themselves thoroughly with any fault that comes along and might love making an actual difference 😂! Edit: Repeat performance at 6:38 - “mrs Ewing” comes out as “mrs Ying”. 😂 Absolutely HILARIOUS given that the entire premise for the show is the Ewing family - and Ying is pronounced quite differently!
The whole pam in bandages storyline was absolutely ridiculous! There is no way that pam would have survived that car crash! They really must have thought the viewers were dumb!

What about the scene, when Pamela slapped Katherine, because she was told that Katherine split Pamela and Bobby? (You may be my sister, but ... ) ???
