This is another example of Pam disappearing in bandages story that made no sense. Dallas might have needed the resurrection injection of Bobby returning after the dream but after Pam's car explosion exit, Dallas was a finished.
The show was very much over after the season closing 1985 when Bobby was hit by the car and died. The Dream Season was a bore and while his resurrection brought interest (end of 86") the show wasn't any good any longer. That season when Patrick Duffy came back (was Victoria's last) was the pitts, sorry to say.

She would have been the perfect person to replace V.P. in the role of Pam if the producers of the show had ever considered replacing her - instead of hoping that V.P. would change her mind & come back to the show... ETA: Somewhere along the line the wrong video got posted for the comments that have been posted. The original video was where Bobby came across a Pam look-a-like - hence the comments. This needs to be corrected so people don't get confused. Just sayin'!...

this double looked JUST like VP- Why didn't they add her back? The show might have not went into cardiac arrest as it did. This story made no sense.... since they were scared of killing off Pam, why ruin the character by making her run off?.... Katherine should have been used, kidnapped her, Make more sense than what transpired. She comes back and is very insecure about her looks....
Katherine should have been added as a regular YEARS before this with her name and picture on the opening credits. She would have needed to have been less crazy and toned down some. Two "baddies" worked on Dynasty (Alexis and Sable) and Jr and Katherine could have shared a show to. Katherine should have been CEO of her father's company which at times could have battles Ewing Oil. Yes she could have been with Bobby once it was established Pam was gone. VP should have came back to tie Pam's story up but not as dying. She should have bought an island in the Caribbean and went to be there sharing custody of christopher with Bobby
Another bad decision by Leonard Katzman, who was pretty much running the show by now. He was also responsible for firing Susan Howard (Donna) because she was vocal about the bad dream explanation.
Captain spauding Katherine Wentworth had to help her move or why could she in all those damage nerves from that explosion she was seated during her last scene used by Margret Michaels.
Agreed . . . .the show's qualify was never the same (even after 1985). Up to the point that Bobby was killed in 1985 - that was the end of the best of the show. All down hill after that (and that includes that annoying April)!

I always believed that was the downfall of the nighttime soaps, not just Dallas. Too many of the lead actresses left the shows.
