Cliff proved just how ruthless he was in the new reboot when he ordered the bombing of the oil rig with his pregnant daughter on it. She and the rest of the Ewing clan got the last laugh on that one.
I don't like how they wrote Cliff's character in the reboot. He was never that cold and ruthless in the original series and he often showed a compassionate side. They turned him into a psychopath in his old age in the reboot.
@@BlueEyes-gp8lg completely agree. He had a nice side to him but was always coming off second best to JR. In the reboot JR had been out of the way for years and I think Cliff would relax and enjoy his money he had his revenge, not turn into the new Jeremy windell.

After his suicide attempt the character changed a lot. The doctor said he very well might have some brain damage.
