Each week planned and executed without a missed show. No show can recreate a show such as this with characters bringing something different each one. And you want find actors or actresses such as this anymore. Thats an accomplishment.
Hangman may in fact be the most important, transformative actor in the history of dramatic television. The character he developed arguably had more influence on future generations of TV actors than any other. One can only imagine if he had done Hamlet.
JR: You know what that lunatic did? Sue Ellen: What lunatic? JR: Cliff Barnes, that rodent, bit me. Sue Ellen: Bit you? JR: Yes, he bit me. Right here, look at that. Damn. Sue Ellen: How did he bite you, JR? JR: With his teeth, Sue Ellen. How the hell did you think he bit me? Priceless lol Classic JR. =)
JR's Texas villainaire demeanor and drawl pulled off EVERY line that he needed to deliver, evil or rarely kind! --"He's legend... the KING of villains!" Love the line where he's SMOOTH in condescendingly assigning sister in laws and Brother Ray their seats at the dinner table. OH MY, I cracked-up lol because poor RAY never saw his coming! :) Fun-n-n-ny! ♥uJR! ...RIP!
JR legendary in so many levels , I’ve got that exactly same brown hat with the feathers JR is wearing on 3:22 the brand is “American Hat & Co , Houston Texas “ it’s one of my biggest treasure cos makes me remember the coolest tv Texan Star ever ! Thank you so much for editing and posting
I was only around 10 at the most popular time for Dallas and I didn’t pay as much attention to the show like I did the Duke boys! But looking back Larry Hagman did a helluva job portraying JR! I see why it was the biggest thing going in 1980!
And one of my favorite ones from him was in the 1980 Finale..Kristin to Jr ".You don't scare me..JR to Kristin ..It takes brains to be scared..and that seems something to be in short supply around here" .
Gotta love a JR silver toung! That's why Bobby was right there to punch him dead in his face! Any more clips with Dallas tv season 6? 1983-84 The last good season.
"Do you know what that lunatic did" "What lunatic" "Cliff Barnes that rodent he bit me" "Bit you" " Yeah look at that damn" "How did he bite you JR" "With his teeth Sue Ellen how the hell do you think he bit me"
My favorites were when he and Lucy went at it. She could sling one liners at him just as well as he could and she certainly didn’t take any shit from him!
Sweet Baby Jesus, he has the best line. The one about, "I believe in the sanctity of marriage," had me spitting my coffee back into my cup. He is the emperor of "the dig". He p layed the heel to a tee, and to think he was the polar opposite in real life. I swear, him and Jack Gleeson must be related.
JR was an absolute legend
JR was the MAN! LOL.
Loved JR's one liners! RIP Larry Hagman
Larry Hagman was and still is simply a one of a kind GREAT.
Larry was 1 badass dude!!!
JR was the nuts. There will never be another villain like him. Period.

The Greatest show and TV's greatest character!
Well Ray was always uncomfortable eating with the family, after all we do use knives & forks. Lol that was priceless
He's one of kind. Nobody can touch him! He is the show! I love his character and knows it. That was the best series for a decade by far.
JR. Ewing was the best character on television hands down!!!
Isn't he a bad man though?
He was the boss man!!!!
I love this man more than anything. when he died, I cried.
Me too! And I'm a guy! Lol.....
So did I. So did I.
"I'm a married man. I believe in the sanctity of marriage." That made me burst out laughing.
Me too..xd My sides.. xd
Notice too how he almost burst out laughing himself after he said that. He knew full well what he said was complete bullshit!
In all fairness JR believes in the sanctity of marriage...he just doesn't live by it.
Simply the best. An American original.
We need characters with great one liners like this! He was a genius in this role - Absolute perfection!
I love when JR said.
" I have a very special feeling for your sister Pamela. I hate her. "
LOL Classic JR
J.R was the king of insults lol
Man that made me laugh 😂
He really just had a special feeling in his pants.
"Lucy don't look so glum..............don't you know rich folks are always happy?"

Jr was a stone cold villain. I loved him!
"Well, marriage isn't always a bed of roses...isn't that right, Pam?"

@@cias_food For me JR and Sonny Crocket are the 80s!
JR's Texas villainaire demeanor and drawl pulled off EVERY line that he needed to deliver, evil or rarely kind! --"He's legend... the KING of villains!"
Love the line where he's SMOOTH in condescendingly assigning sister in laws and Brother Ray their seats at the dinner table. OH MY, I cracked-up lol because poor RAY never saw his coming! :) Fun-n-n-ny!

JR was the greatest still watch Dallas over 30 years on. Rest in peace.
JR was ruthless talking to Pam about her mom.
I also love when Jr says something to Pam and u hear Bobby in the background
"Well Ray was always uncut to eat with the family. I mean, after all we do use knives and forks."
😂
Telling "Bobby" he knows he was taught to knock because he was there, is the best! Larry Hagman was perfect for the part of JR.
JR the most beloved villain. RIP Larry Hagman
Gosh I love his lines
I was only around 10 at the most popular time for Dallas and I didn’t pay as much attention to the show like I did the Duke boys! But looking back Larry Hagman did a helluva job portraying JR! I see why it was the biggest thing going in 1980!

He is such a bastard.😉 Why do I love him so much.
J.R. may be the evil seed of the Ewing family but great seeing some humor from hime when it comes to one liners.
JR blows Alexis Colby away!
+Mirrorcob Films Alexis used Colby for most of the series and even used it in the terrible reunion show two years after Dynasty was canceled.
What a fine man he was rip larry h
He was halarious Larry hagman in Dallas he was the only reason I watched it
3:50- 'I'm bound to sleep more soundly now that I know that.' Im using this at work!
JR telling everyone where to sit at the table with his deadpan wit and contempt for them disguised as southern courtesy is pure comedy gold.
We re Turkish and my dad says since my childhood to bad persons "such a JR" i always wondered what or who that is 😂thanks for letting me know
Your boyfriend can come to your rescue in one mighty Hobble. The whole cast looks at each other😂😂😂😂
Least he didn't say, "J.R., you are the father!"
I thought you'd still be here barnes never to far from free food and drinks. Those lines so funny!
1983-84 the best season!

Anybody else think that JR Ewing (Dallas) is kinda like a rich older Cartman (SouthPark)?
JR - "Screw you guys. I'm rich and powerful. I'm going home."
Yes!
''well Ray was always uncomfortable eating with the family, after all, we do use knives and folks''
J.R has a wicked tongue, lol.
Hahah. "What's family for if it can't take care of its losers." Sounds like my family.
Aww that’s Sad 😔
