- Tina Louise and Larry Hagman in a pivotal scene with Larry Hagman in "Dallas" Season 2, "Julie's Return." Louise played Julie Gray, a secretary at Ewing Oil who got close to both Jock, and later J.R.
2 Stars from the 60s most iconic Comedies I Dream of Jeannie and Gilligan's Island!🏝️
I think that was the point.. And jennillie Harrison from the 80"s..To bad JR her her killer ..By accident ..XD I mean Julie..XD
her her killer? okay 😄
Larry Hagman and Tina Louise were iconic in the 1960s like I dream of Jeannie and Gilligans Island.
It's good that those actors continued their careers and weren't typecast.
Nice to go back to the 80s even if it's only for two and a half minutes.
1978
@@neilouellette3004 Even better !
At this time,Tina still had much of the beauty of her younger days.
true.
She did. Wasn’t that around on in about 1979? The Island 🌴 ended in 1967. 10-12 years later and she would have still looked good. She was in The Stepford Wives in 1975 and looked real good. I was a teenager then and boy that was a psychological thriller film. I started watching Dallas during the season Kristin shot JR. 1980. I cannot remember if julie gray was a former call girl that JR cheated on Sue Ellen with or not. I remember seeing something on our family room tv. Didn’t someone murder julie by shoving her off a building and calling it suicide? I remember JR being very upset because he was not a murderer. He told someone there was no need to have killed her.
@@conithomson4409 Stepford Wives was a very disquieting film. Some members of the cartel just wanted to scare Julie Gray but she would up jumping off a building.
I just realized this: Both these actors appeared in 60's sitcoms.
Yes, but Larry Hagman was lucky. He was able to live down playing Major Anthony Nelson but Tina Louise found it very hard to play other parts "After" Ginger. She was in a TV Movie around 1976 called Nightmare In Badham County. Also she was on All My Children where she worked d with Sarah Michelle Gellar (Kendall #1). She played a Cosmetics Executive who got busted for Insider Trading. As far as I know she nor any of her former Co-Stars get "Paid" for reruns and the Brady Bunch Cast stop getting "Paid" in 1979.
@@laminage Dawn Wells had the best deal as she continued to profit from the reruns of "Gilligan's Island"...
Amazing to see her in this role. Didn't watch Dallas too much back in the day.
The first four series of Dallas were brilliant.
I liked Julie and Tina was great playing her. I wished they kept her on longer.
+winogirlll I wonder why they didn't. I hope she didn't have problems with this show too.
The cast was so glad that Tina Louise left the show they threw a party (seriously).
@@travisjames3517 you have no idea this is true. Shut the F up
I have always heard that Tina Louise has quite an ego and can be a handful to deal with, but there is no mistaking that she's quite beautiful and is a very good actress.
I always really liked the Julie Grey character... a lot. Tina Louise is really good. They killed her off way too soon. really good story lines..The only drawback I ever had was her southern accent.. it’s not Texas.. it’s more Georgian or a east Southern state. But who knows, maybe Julie is not from Texas, maybe she’s from Savanna. ?? :)
Sounds more New Orleans than anything.
Tina Louise is very much alive.
TG.
Ginger is a good actress.
In other words she is typecast
@@cdgates1 Se was also in a Movie called Nightmare in Badham County with Lynn Whitfield and Deborah Raffin, Robert Reed, and Della Reese. She played a Prisoner who was promoted to Prison Guard to offset costs, and she abused her power. She called Della The N Word and got killed for it.
@@laminage I remember THAT movie...oh.my gosh..... That WAS a good while back.... Cool movie though...
Her name is Tina.
She just turned 87. Nice to know Ginger is still alive and kicking.
I have to admit.. I hadn't bothered watching "Dallas" when it was first on in the 1970's, until I saw in TV Guide that Tina Louise was in it -- then I had to tune in to see what "Ginger" looked like these days... this was probably the first episode of the show that I saw! Beautiful woman!
Larry Hagman in “Fail Safe.” He was brilliant.
She's a damn good actress.
J.R. couldn’t stand the idea of his daddy with his ex mistress. Drove him nuts, he was so jealous of Jock. Kinda sick in a way, when you think about it. 🤣
Major Nelson and Ginger Grant. Who Woulda Thunk It? 🤷🏾♂️
It would've been cool if they met on Gilligan's Island.
Tina was great in this
She is a brilliant actress. She left Dallas, too soon.
Tina Louise is still going at 90, but her career hasn't been the same since she went under the knife.
I always watched Dallas. I must've seen this episode. And of course I had watched Gilligan's Island. But somehow it escaped me that this was Tina Louise.
That was always your specialty.
Dont bring a knife to a gunshow JR.LOL..
Red headed lady in red hiding the red file! J.R. looks kind like John Boehner here...
Her appearance sometimes got in the way of her "acting" ... she was a fun, natural, compelling actress when she was young ... but after Gilligan it seems like she tried too hard to prove things she didn't really have to prove. Even so, she did FAR more than any of the other actors on the Gilligan show did, before or after. She and Maryanne are the only ones left alive as of 4/24/16 ... and Tina is 80. Dawn Wells can't be much younger.
Whatever the case, for better or worse, Tina Louise will be the one remembered for that show, for posterity. Even over Gilligan, oddly enough.
+Jonathan Kieran I will certainly agree that, here, Tina was chewing up the scenery. This is certainly a rough patch of acting. While Hagman was as charming as ever, Louise way overdid it. That was on the director, though. They should have reigned her in and had her retry it in a much more subtle and southern beguiling way. Though, she may have been hard to work with in that regard. It may also be why her recurring part on Dallas was limited.
I seriously doubt she'll be remembered for her work in Dallas over Gilligan's Island. Gilligan's Island is a timeless comedy classic that will go down in the annals of time and be remembered for many many years to come. Dallas, unfortunately, is a dated time period piece that really only worked in the era in which it was filmed and watched. Watching Dallas now seems both dated and quaint. Comedies are still very popular, while nighttime soaps are all but forgotten.
No Julie was mad at JR when her Gave money after sex..That REALLY pissed her off..XD
I don't blame the person who shot J.R.!
Tina was always a beautiful woman, and the robe she is wearing is fierce, but I'm so distracted because I never realized she had a kind of gap/crooked tooth on her bottom grill.
It's odd. I don't remember Ginger Grant having it.
She a Beautiful redhead; but not more Beautiful than Maureen O’Hara, the most Beautiful Redhead ever.
Gorgeous looking woman
Texans with a southern accent. ..... Hollywood never could get that right.
Yes, I was thinking the same thing....
They tried like hell, but you can tell they ain't from the south !!
@@lgempet2869 Larry Hagman was born and partially raised in and around Forth Worth, including attending high school there.
I recall in that first season where some of the cast members tried to affect a Texas accent, with cringeworthy results. Later seasons had them talking more like Californians.
They DID get rescued!!!! See?!
what's up with that tooth?
+jjgreek1 J.R. was always abusive to his women...
+jjgreek1 It's all I can look at now...
Gives her Southern character...it was for the role.
It's an illusion, @ 1:49 its gone...She has two teeth on the bottom middle that indent, you can see it on Gilligan's Island too
jjgreek1 you are very cute indeed! :)
She still looks good here other than her lower front tooth being broken off and gray. Maybe that's why her character's last name is "Gray."
Sue Ellen has a messed up tooth too.
+winogirlll Maybe it was a trend that the casting directors were looking for;..crooked or broken grey teeth. Tina was too beautiful of a woman to let her teeth go by the wayside,..Linda Gray too. Maybe J.R. had a fetish for women with broken, fucked up teeth...
Linda gray whole upper jaw went crooked
Tina passed away 2015.
Let her rest in peace .
She will always be in our thought's ind our heart.
John Andruzzi She's alive and well.
Tina passed away 2015
she will be mised
John Andruzzi Where did you get this info? Nowhere have I read that she passed away.
my friends and hers gave me the bad news.
Let her rest in peace
John Andruzzi Your bad news is incorrect.
what's the black space or stuff in the middle of her bottom teeth?
Maybe she ate some Olives or meat and didn't realize it. Or maybe she needed some Dental Work. Co-Incidentally she and Steve Kanaly appeared on All My Children. She did a Scene with Sarah Michelle Gellar whose character was doing time for Bank Fraud and Steve played Seabone Hunkle. On The UK Soap Opera Emmerdale there was a Lady named Carrie Nichols who was the Mistress of Tom King for 16 Years, they had a child whose identity was not acknowledged until a Will Reading. Women like them always "Lose" and they don't care who they hurt. Smokey Robinson had a Mistress named "Kandi" and they were together from 1967-1984 on and off. He encouraged her to see other Men even marry but she refused to. She caused the breakup of his marriage when she got pregnant for him.
She was on meth- her teeth were ruined
She is not dead.
+Joanne C Laplante Not yet!
she sure was something.
Didn’t they have cosmetic dentists in the 1980s.
Had no 💡 Tina Louise was on Dallas 😅
I Dream of Ginger... Imogen on Cymbeline ♥
No she did not pass away. She is still alive.

👋✌🏼😎📺😍😊😊😊😊
How this woman got close to JR and Jock is beyond me. I know she is a beautiful woman, and everything, but they both should have been more careful than that.
Ahhhhhhh, the 80's, big hair and big attitude!
Her accent seems more like the old south than a Texas twang
Why did one of her teeth look rotted out in the front?
JR was high here
the moviestar...
JR was so scared that Julie Grey would lower the boom on him. What a sad Woman she was. Sadly enough there are alot of women who are "Mistresses" and put their whole life on hold to please the Man that they love but they come out of it with nothing.
So true
You see some mistresses who can steal the man. But most don’t
Ooooo! I’d forgotten how delightfully awful JR was
Peculiar seeing Julie wearing a red robe with being a redhead. I always thought that redheaded women avoided red in their wardrobe because of the clash of the color tones.
I’m a Redhead, sometimes I wear red.
julie gray was nothing but trouble
I was always a Mary Ann man
So you prefer cute and sweet to gorgeous and sexy 😉
I never cared for Guligan’s Island.
It's a real shame that Tina wasn't retained for the long haul on this show. Julie would have been an exceptional "frenemy'" for JR, much better than Kristin was. Perhaps the two huge egos of Larry and Tina would not have been able to coexist on the show, though.
I can't believe they cast her with that bad tooth. I guess standards were low back then.
Charles M Rinehart she was as so pretty they could pay her. Dentists bill
So unrealistic that Gilligan wouldn't try to bone her unless he was impotent.
ideat.
Gilligan would never cheat on the Skipper.
I saw her in a Western movie and now here. I don't really think she is much of an actress. She certainly doesn't command the scene and what's with accent? That certainly isn't even close to Texan. His either. I don't think type casting was the reason limiting her parts.
ideat
Major Nelson and Ginger, about 12 years later.
I love you Ginger 😍
