I repeat after Lawrence - You're the best for putting this up. This was EXACTLY what was wrong with my same Samsung dishwasher. I can't thank you enough for taking the time to do this.
Finally, someone who comes up with a clear solution! Thanks a bunch, man, you nailed it!
You're the best for putting this up. This was EXACTLY what was wrong with my same Samsung dishwasher. I can't thank you enough for taking the time to do this.
Worked like a charm. Thank you! I was about to order the part online until I came across your video. I'm leaving town for a week tomorrow and would have left my wife doing dishes by hand. As they say, "Happy Wife, Happy Life!"
This video will forever be bookmarked for me.
Thanks for posting this. Saved me a $320 repair - actually, that was just labour - and the tech thought it was probably a faulty valve so who knows how much the parts would have been. Blew some junk out of the hose, and it works like a charm now.
Bro!! 5 years later and your video is still helping so many. Worked for me too. Thanks for taking the time!!
Excellent DIY vid. Thanks for posting! I tore down my dw according to instructions then went the extra step of cleaning the filter as well as the drain tray and the pan under it. I'd say this is an essential step to bring the dw back to full functionality!
Thank you so much this has been a continuous problem with our dishwasher since we’ve moved in five years ago. About every year and a half we have to do this trick. Life saver!
Thank very much for posting this video. We just fixed our dishwasher in about 30 minutes. Hooray! So much better than paying for a technician to come and waiting a week. Now I’m feeling like I need to find a video on how to clean the filter and bottom drain.
Fantastic video! Solved my problem. If you get a 0E error, but your dishwasher is not filled with water this is the likely cause. Blowing into the tube and hearing the pop immediately signifying there was a blockage and that it was likely clear was so satisfying. Thanks again!
Thanks so much for posting this informative video! I pulled apart my Samsung Dishwasher today to fix the same issue. Didn’t have any compressed air, but blowing through the hose did the trick! My wife wasn’t very impressed with the lo-fi methodology, but she’s not complaining about the results! Thanks again!!
I know this was posted 5 years ago but still helped me out all these year later. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! Been having this issue on and off for a year now. Should have just bought a new washer but this one is only 3 years old! Either way, BIG TIME THANK YOU!!! PERFECT DIRECTIONS and my washer is washing again!!!
Amazing! Thank you for the thoughtful comment. You rock.
Thank you so much. Your 10 min video with no edits inspired me to give it a try and it worked perfectly. Very straight forward. Thanks for the great instructions!
Almost 3 years later and this video is still helping folks. It worked great and saved me a repair bill.
Woohoo! Score. Thanks for the comment.
I had to do this routine about 3 years ago to a relatively new dw. It worked like a charm and I am getting ready to do version 2.0. Thanks again!
This is one of rare videos that offers real helpful information. Thank you for taking the time to share.
Awesome video worked like a charm. Thank you
Glad it worked out for you.
Your the man. Saved a lot of people $$$ with this video. Thanks! I will never ever buy a samsung appliance again!! Sticking with GE and Whirlpool from here on out.
Not sure if you'll ever see this, but thanks a bunch! My husband just did exactly what you did, and got it running again!!! We know it's a POS based on the 22 pages of complaints on Samsung's forums lol, but as new homeowners we'd like to get at least a year out of it before we replace it! The previous owners did the whole kitchen Samsung, so we're nervous. This was a huge help tonight - only been in the house four months so far and was not happy to think we might need a new dw this week. Ours is a different model slightly, but the inner workings looked the same as what you showed. Thanks again!!!!
One of the best videos on this problem. An easy fix to an apparently common problem (I had this happen twice in 6 months) with Samsung dishwashers- I used a 6 inch piece of plastic tube that fit the water line to blow out the blockage. Thanks Tarek.
+Don Kaiser Hey nice! I like that idea. Thanks.
The repair guys must love this failure. Fixed mine today thanks to your advice. Would have never thought it would be a clogged hose, as usually repair guys will first blame the fill sensor itself as its just another part to buy. I notice on older units this is actually a separate piece, but looks like they integrated it into the entire fill assembly.
Bravo... going over to help my mom & dad with this error now. Thanks!
Worked like a charm!! Was able to take it apart, blow into the hose and put it back together in 15 mins. No more error code now. THANK YOU!
Thank you so much for posting this video. I fixed my dishwasher today with help from your video. The blocked tube wouldn't clear so I had to take apart the filter and water assembly and then use my wet/dry vacuum to clear the blockage. I wouldn't have had any idea how to assess what was wrong without your video. Thank you.
One of the repair most smartest videos I have seen. Let me define smart. This is a "smart" that you can not get by just reading books. This is a smart that goes beyond book smart and uses knowledge from experience as well to make a seemly complex problem very simple. I always say that education without experience is only half-smart. The other 50% is experience from doing. Thanks for the clever video that worked very well and efficient for me.
Lyle, You! Rock! Thank you for that huge compliment. I’m grateful that you not only watched my video but also took the time to lend your thoughts on it. I’m glad the fix worked for you. Take great care and please stay safe and healthy.
This solution worked perfectly, thanks so much. My model is somewhat different, with two blinking lights instead of the OE code, but the same problem. My side panel was a bit more difficult to take apart, but I did a couple of additional things once I did. Before blowing through the hose I worked a bottle brush and pipe cleaners in and out to remove some of the soap scum and sludge, rather than blowing it all back inside where I figure it would work its way back down the tube. After doing that I did blow into the hose and heard the "pop" described as more junk blew out into the inside. Then I removed the plastic container that the hose plugs into on the side of the washer, not easy, but I found more soap scum and dirt inside that container that probably also impedes the water level. I ran hot water and soap through that in my kitchen sink and reassembled it all. Works perfectly now whereas before we'd have to start the dishwasher numerous times (wasting lots of water) before it would kick in and work. Now it works first time each time. I would never have thought to look on the side of the washer to solve the problem, so thanks again for the video!
Thanks for that very detailed and insightful comment. It will surely help others with a similar problem.
This took care of the issue with the high level code and no parts required. 20 minutes. Excellent instruction. Thank you!
You’re welcome. Really glad to hear it. Please subscribe for more great DIY videos. More on the way.
Great video! This information in this video helped me solve my oE error. I would recommend that everyone remove the main pump filter/screen assembly BEFOREHAND and then clean out all of the contamination (including from around the heater coil reservoir) after blowing out the overfill line. I would also recommend that everyone remove the "brake case assembly" entirely, its' not that hard, so that you can completely clean out the overfill sensor reservoir with some cotton swabs (a.k.a. Q-tips). If you follow these two recommendations you will likely spare yourself having to disassemble your dishwasher twice to solve the problem...
Thank you for this video. I did exactly as you said and the dishwasher is back in business.
just did this and it worked like a charm. thank you!!!
Awesome!!!
Thank you so much for making this video. Our dishwasher has had this problem since we moved into our house and we have always been able to get it working for a wash or two but once we used this method we haven't had a single problem
This video helped my hubby and I fix our dishwasher. Of course we discovered this hours before my hubby had to fly out on business. You saved me from having to hand wash dishes and the headache of calling in a repair. Thank you!!!!
+Jaclyn Jaye I'm so glad to hear that, Jaclyn. Big score!
2020 Pandemic.... No plumbers allowed to visit due to isolation so I did this myself. Happy woman! Empowered woman! Thanks for making this easy to follow and the turkey baster idea posted below was brilliant.
Oh don’t forget. You have a “sanitize” feature on your dishwasher. It kills everything! Use it every chance you get.
Thanks so much for taking the time to make this video. It saved me money.
Our 5 yr old Samsung dishwasher was blinking the code lights as described in this video and stopping very early in the starting cycle. We followed these steps, blew out the gunk in the hose and dishwasher is running perfectly. Thank you for the video. No purchased parts and no repairman.
I have 3 of these dishwashers in 3 suites, all have had this problem, and all were fixed by me using this clear, simple vid! THANKS TAREK!
This has happened several times to me, same dw...ill never recommend a Samsung dw. This worked, thank you, nice work!
Agreed
This was so easy to fix. I was sort of grossed out at the thought of blowing on that hose but it was clean and nothing came out of it when I unhooked it. I thought the hardest part was getting the clamp off of the overfill chamber - the other one was easy to get off. I used a pair of needle nose pliers to get in to that small space.
This saved me a week to get a tech to the house and at least $150 for a service call.
Awesome. Thanks for the great comment.
Thank you. This was exactly what I needed to fix our dishwasher. Appreciate your time and efforts.
Oh man, thank you so much. Service tech came out and insisted that this was a drain error, so drain pump needed to be replaced. That did not make any sense since the the water was getting pumped out of the basin. This makes much more sense, and one blow latter the problem was cured. Thanks again!
Oh wow that’s so funny. I hope he was the one who blew through it :)
Thanks for posting this video. I was just about to order a new case sensor when I found your video. I blew out the line, reassembled and ran a quick load and it actually ran!!! Saved me $40. Much appreciated.
+James S Woohoo! Score!
You're awesome! I've been dealing with this 'oE' issue for 6-8 months with the dishwasher Just Out OF Warranty! (of course) The maintenance manual was saying either the overfill sensor or the Electronic Control Board (which runs $130-150). I've had the whole thing apart a few times but, it never crossed my mind to blow out the hose. Huge oversight on my part, good thinking on yours! So, with regards to this dishwasher and kitchen clean-up, I think it's going to be a great New Year in 2017 thanks in no small part to your post. Thank you again.
Thanks for that note! Really nice of you to take the time like that. Glad I could help and that it worked out.
This was exactly the problem with my unit - blowing through the tube cleared a blockage and the dishwasher's happy again. So's the wife. :) Thanks for the tutorial!
My issue as well! Thanks Tarek for a great step by step video. Sorry to piggy back on your comment Dan, but I could leave a "thanks" to Tarek in the regular comment section...lol
absolutly amazing. I shall be telling everyone about this before they try and buy parts and pay for callouts. I was told from reliable sources that I might have to buy a new sensor. I tried this on my New World slim DW45 intergrated dishwasher and guess what. it worked. thank you so much!!!
I have done this twice (3 yrs apart) and it worked both times! Thanks for sharing your fix. :)
Outstanding video, Tarek. Thanks for putting up this well done and very instructional video. You couldn't make it any simpler. My experience is that if you have Samsung appliances, you'd better have lots of money to spend on tech's, or learn to work on them yourself, because out of 6 new appliances we bought 5 years ago when we had our house built, 4 of them have already had problems and needed service - some more than once! Great help for me and many others. Thanks again!
+dbp9000 Thanks for that very thoughtful note. Much appreciated. And really glad it helped.
Whenever i buy an appliance or device, my first choice is always samsung. I have found the brand to be very reliable.
I agree with you for the most part. I really do like Samsung. Apart from this one issue, which I think is a slight engineering oversight, it has been a good machine. Samsung did honor the warrantee after the 1 year, but it took a little pleading. My other Samsung’s have been rock solid. Thanks for the comment.
I used this solution but it kept happening so I eventually order a replacement case.
I left a review on amazon, but I figured I'd post it here too, because so many people have issues with these units. I had a clog in the drain pathway. From an engineering perspective I think what happened with this dishwasher is that in lieu of good design, they just stuck sensors everywhere. So while the sensors protect you from catastrophe, they are constantly going off because the fundamental design of the system is poor.
Anyway...here's what I wrote on amazon.
"Worked as a replacement. As noted, this doesn't come with the plastic grate or rubber gasket. Turns out the issue with the one I replaced, was that there was a cherry pit stuck in the drain path. This was causing the oE error code (over level water error) because the dishwasher couldn't drain properly. Even when it made it through a cycle, sometimes things weren't clean, the soap wouldn't release, dishes wouldn't dry...etc etc etc.
Coincidentally the design of the drain path here is probably why so many people have issues with samsung dishwashers. The water drain path goes from a circular hose (at the drain pump) through this unit, which has a rectangular shaped horseshoe pathway, and then back into a hose which goes into your garbage disposal or sink drain. This rectangular pathway is prone to obstruction obviously because it's going from a hose to something much more narrow.
(There's also a small diaphragm on the pump drain hose before it goes into this case, which I believe is to prevent back flow into dishwasher the event of a clog in your sink.) The oE error code (over-level water error) or 5E (drain error) will come on depending on the severity of the blockage in the drain path. If some water makes it through, you'll have the oE error because it just can't drain fast enough. Having a partially obstructed drain will also cause excess water to be left in the drain which can cause a moldy smell and/or incomplete drying. Upon the start of the next cycle, the dishwasher will also unsuccessfully attempt to drain out and after 10 or 15 min return with an oE error.
Don't ask me what purpose is served by routing the drain through this narrowed case. I suppose it provides a place for the back flow diaphragm to attach. It's extremely lazy engineering though. It also brings up an issue of why there's no drain filter in general. If the opening size of the drain inside the dishwasher allows objects large enough to obstruct drain paths further down the line, it's going to cause problems (i.e. go read the 70+ reviews on other consumer product websites or any big box store that sells these and marvel at how Samsung continues to sell even one more single dishwasher unit).
The drain inside in the unit has a tendency to collect gunk as well, if you unscrew the drain cover you can see two ports, one for the drain and one for the over level water hose which plugs into this plastic case. The drain port is toward the rear and is protected with a little rubber flap and the over level port is on the sidewall next to the mid point of the heating element.
If you're going to the trouble of replacing this unit you should unscrew the drain cover and clean out any visible debris. You should also (stay with me here), blow out the over level sensor hose, blow out the drain to sink hose, and suction out the pump drain hose before you connect them to the case. The water supply hose can't be done, I believe because it's controlled electronically through a solenoid, and that's probably not an issue anyway. If there are obstructions obviously there will still be issues. You can turn the dishwasher on it's side and access the drain pump from the underside of the unit if need be. I had some more cherry pits inside the drain pump hose, that I could hear rattling around but I couldn't get out without removing the hose from the drain, which you can only do with the dishwasher on it's side.
SO, long story short, make sure all the drain lines are clear, and then attach this unit."
I can sign under every word of this. Incredibly bad dishwasher. The worst part is the reason for all the glogging - disintegrating rack pieces. Though there was a cherry pit once for me...
This right here is an amazing review. And I am scared that I have cherry pits in my dishwasher.
If we can’t resolve the issue I will not be getting another Samsung that’s for sure
Thanks! Your video saved the day. My dishwasher is about 6 years old and the code was determined by the "Auto" and "Heavy" lights blinking together. I used a short piece of clear plastic hose that fit inside the drain hose to avoid having to remove the bottom one.
Things need to change in the appliance industry. Corruption and greed have polluted it!! These are very common fixes that the "technicians overlook routinely" By using a pay by the hour process, not by the job. I purchased an almost new refrigerator a few years ago. It needed an evaporator fan. The technician charged the person 600$ for diagnostics, yet didn't even diagnose the problem properly. Fridge has been going strong now, three years. Thank you for posting Tarek!!!!!
Thank you! This did the trick. Genius!
Forgot to mention...instead of blowing into the hose (couldn’t get my head down low enough- rather short tube), used a turkey blaster...worked like a charm!! 🙂🙌🏼
Great idea!!
Thanks for doing this video. Such a simple fix to a problem I thought would require a repair person to correct... As the owner manual says to contact one. Took me about 15 minutes after watching your video and a newer one with crisper images. I appreciate the effort you put forth to share this information.
Thanks for the video,Is the filter no need to be clean?
My “gross” actions released a small flat piece of plastic. Prior to extracting this chunk I had made two unsuccessful attempts.
I prevailed.
Thank for the video, it had all the important info needed.
Good job! You just save me from buying a new dishwasher!!
I tried this and something clearly popped out of the hose. It didn't solve my problem so I took the filter, impeller etc. out of the bottom of the unit, cleaned out a bunch of crap and put it back together. It worked!
Thanks. I blew through mine and heard something dislodge. Didn't take the rest apart but will now.
Thanks a lot, my dishwasher was giving me issues (oE code), followed your video and it's running great again. Couldn't stand the thought of paying Samsung so much to come out here and work on it when last time I had an issue (different issue than now) it took the 8 tries before they fixed it right.
Thank you. Followed your steps perfectly and so far so good. Was getting the error every time (no excess water in the washer). Now it’s on its 3rd run with no problem.
As soon as you said "now this is kinda gross..." I knew what was coming.
I am joining the big positive commenters (like the following) and salute this man for this awesome video.
====================================
Awesome video worked like a charm. Thank you?
Finally, someone who comes up with a clear solution! Thanks a bunch, man, you nailed it!?
Thanks so much for taking the time to make this video. It saved me money.?
Bravo... going over to help my mom & dad with this error now. Thanks!?
Very helpful video.
====================================
Following the instructions from the video works with no issue, so video is complete but I would like to add my personal observations:
1- First I opened the base inside by removing all the screws and cleaned the base inside which was very dirty and put everything back, started the machine, it washed one cycle and then I ran into the same error code.
2- As was said in the video, opening the big knob from inside the dishwasher was a real challenge for me. Finally used screw and hammer. Be patient and be careful to not to break it.
3- I did NOT take the second hose (the black hose with elbow, second from right) or electric jacket out. I ONLY released the first from the right black hose, blew to it as was instructed in the video, heard the loud pop sound, and did put everything back. This video saved me $165 + tax technician charge + parts. THANK YOU AGAIN.
+Allen Rose Wow, what a great gesture of your appreciation, Allen. Thanks so much for that.
THANK YOU! Did this today and saved me several hundred $$ from a technician visit. I also cleaned out the bottom of the dishwasher near the heating element where the blockage blew out (so it would go back and clog the hose again).
This worked for me -- thanks so much! I had quite a bit of water come out of that hose when I disconnected it and some of it ended up in the pan in the bottom, so it threw an LE error afterwards. Had to tip the dishwasher at a 45 degree angle to drain the water, then took a hair dryer to the water sensor. Seems to have done the trick. Really appreciate this!
awesome video, helped me out big time! thanks for the help
Thanks for the advice. Now I have some for you: Change the batteries in your smoke detectors.
For real though, very helpful video; Thank you.
+Vapor S. Thompson Ha. Yeah I got so many of those comments. Makes me laugh every time. Glad to help.
Man i thought it was my smoke alarm beeping until I saw this comment 🤣
Haha. Sorry about that.
@@kensrueprodigy lol me too. Me watching the video was tripping my dog out. He hates those beeps.
Perfect! Blowing out the hose worked perfectly. I will suggest taking apart the washer moter assembly and clean out what was dislodged after blowing it out.
Awesome. And thanks for the suggestion. Definitely helpful. Please subscribe to support my channel. Thanks.
Big THANKS to Tarek's DIY. I had been dealing with this code and was about to break down and call a repair guy when I found this video. Only thing I did different was to use a shop vac to suck the hose clear instead of blowing through the hose.
Huge help - Thanks again
+Justin Cileo Great idea with the shop vac! Kudos.
Can you please do a video on changing the 9 volt battery in the smoke alarm that keeps chirping??? thanks
apileofskulls is
+Jimmie Bennett Sorry Jimmie. I couldn’t translate that. But in hope it worked for you.
Le cod
100% totally agree!!!
That’s it. I’m gonna do it :)
Very helpful video. While looking at this video I walked throughout the house trying to find the chirping smoke detector...
+weh3weh3 Haha!!! I love all the smoke detector comments. Glad it helped you out.
You are amazing! I had this problem and followed your instructions and IT WORKED! I'm thrilled your video enabled me, 64 year old woman, make this repair! THANK YOU!
I love this!! Thank you.
This trick actually worked on my Samsung DW7933L. Took me about 20 mins to solve the problem and saved a service call!
Thanks a lot Tarek
Glad to hear it Andre. Thanks for the comment. Please subscribe to my channel to support more great videos.
It strikes me as a fundamental design flaw. The overfill hose, on the bottom, has a belly in it. Any particles, even water sediment, get caught in there and don't move out with the slow movement of the drain cycle. That's why it requires a bit of force to purge it. If they just designed it to pitch downward entirely, this would not be an issue.
Yep, same as the DW-FG725L model in Aus.. get the same issue. 3 times now.
the most fundamental flaw is the narrow vanes in the plastic part. Which is made worse by the really, really, really bad quality of the racks. They disintegrate withing 6 months and their pieces block that vane
Thank you so much for making this video! My dad & I just fixed my dishwasher using this information - you saved me the cost of a new dishwasher!! THANK YOU!! :)
I seriously wish every DIY video on youtube was like this, thanks man!
+Grant Bennett Glad it worked for ya. Thanks for the comment.
SAVIOR ! Works like a dream. Now for the chronic smell out as well as getting it to actually clean dishes.
Great stuff Tarek.
+simmersound Chronic smell. You have a problem with the drain in your sink. More accurately, probably have a blockage in the vent (in case you need help, the vent is a dry pipe going from a fixture, like the sink, all the way through the roof). The vent helps keep the trap under your sink, from being siphoned dry. If it dries out, you get sewer gases to come out through the sink drain and through the dishwasher. But if you don't smell it in the drain, probably just a blocked dishwasher hose. Try clearing it out. If it's clear, try some vinegar in the cycle. Good luck.
Thanks for taking the time to post this, bro! You've saved me a lot of time and money.
Thanks so much for helping me repair the same problem. I also had a repairman come in after 12 months and he ordered the same part. When this happened again, I tried your solution and definitely heard something pop out of the hose. I saved the first white panel he took out and after wiggling a wire, two cherry stones were lodged in there. Now I have a spare. The one thing that took me awhile was taking out the round cap on the inside to release that white panel. I almost gave up but my nephew noticed the arrow on the cap showing which way to turn. Such a great video!thank you. I also thought I would be looking for new batteries for a smoke alarm. Should have read comments first!
+Laura Della Franco Thank you for the good words. So glad it helped.
Hallelujah!! Dude this totally fixed my issue with blinking lights. Its been broken for months and finally i stumbled upon your fixed, looked straight forward enough and it works, Many thanks.
I’m so glad to hear it. Thanks for the feedback.
Thanks for posting this. It saved me a service call for sure. Be sure to have a couple of towels handy for sure. I used an electric air inflator pump for pool toys to start blowing out the debris in the flow level hose and then finished it off with hot air from my lungs. The compartment with the level sensors also drained out, so I knew it was a good fix. I'm not very handy, but if you are patient, deliberate and take your time to carefully follow the steps like in the video, it should be no problem to do.
Great Video and absolutely no parts required. My dishwasher was under the cabinet and in so snug, because We had styrofoam for sound attenuation that I could not get to the side panel, so I removed the inside strainer cover panel undoing ten screws. Once there I was able to get my shop vac out and used a small hose as the suction and vacuumed the scale that had built up. It worked like a charm. Two things to note, 1) the scale that clogged the water level sensor hose, appears to be calcium that had deposited on the heating element over time, and that had flaked off into the overlevel sensor hose and clogged it up; and 2) in the future I would simply oversized the water level sensor supply and return hoses and that will solve the problem forever.
This video exactly solved the problem! Very precisely described. Checking the internal filters and check valves in the main tub provided a few bits of trash but clearly this over fill tube was the problem. Thanks
Nice! Thanks for the comment.
It worked! I did see how to remove the plastic inner piece...turn counter clockwise. Saved me probably hundreds of dollars. Thanks Bro.
Buddy this ABSOLUTELY FIXED my problem. My stupid Samsung dishwasher (same model as yours) kept flashing this code no matter what I did, so I pulled it out and did exactly as you advised.
I took it a step further, I cleaned out the water pump, filter and all that crap at the bottom, pulling or wipe or vacuuming out larger chunks of crap. But my dish washer has been working fine since. Thank YOU for posting this.
Amazing. Really glad to hear it. Yeah, the sump, around the heating element, builds up a TON of detergent and crud. It’s hard to get it out. Terrible design. But I’m glad you fixed it. One less dishwasher going to a landfill.
Going to try this, and whether it works or not, you are a terrific guy for taking the time to post this fix video! Just tried it. It worked! THANK YOU, Tarek!
Woohoo! Big score. I’m really glad to hear it worked for you. Please subscribe to help support my channel and more helpful videos. Thank you so much.
This saved me a service call. My Samsung had the fill sensor as a separate piece. I was able to dismantle it, clean the gunk out as well as blowing out the hose. Ta-da! No more oE error code. Thanks!
This video just saved me a $200 service call. The blocked hose was the problem. Took me 10 minutes to fix. YOU ROCK!!
Glad to hear it man. Thanks for the feedback.
For our unit, the problem was coming from the floated piece, there was lots of gunk and they were interfering with the function of this sensor. A blow into the tube and thorough cleaning of the sensor part solved the issue. Thanks for the video.
Our model is DMT800RHS.
After replacing the heater in this bad boy a few months back, I thought I was in the clear. Then, just today I got the error. I read through the entire service manual, in detail, eliminated everything but the case brake. (Drain pipe clogged, PCB failure, sensor failure.) But nothing in the factory service manual told me to do this! Now, it's working better than it has in a while. This video saved me $100 bucks.
HOWEVER!!! You are going to want to have your sump cover removed before you blow on it, or immediately after you do, before reassembly, because the crap that gets pushed back underneath and inside it, I would prefer not be pushed back through on the next cycle. If it clogged it once, it may clog it again. Also, if you haven't taken the sump cover off yet, it's a great time to clean it out.
Nothing but love for the fella who posted this!
Yeah baby!!! Glad to hear it.
Thank you my dishwasher stop working over a month ago seen your video did the steps and now my dishwasher is working THANK YOU SO MUCH my christmas wish came true
+K bolean What a great comment. Thank you.
Thanks for this easy to follow video - I followed the steps, using compressed air to blow out the line, and it solved my Water Level error.
Tarek spot on. Second time I’ve used your video to get my machine running again. Much appreciated!
Dishwasher is now working again thanks to your post. Thank you very much!
It also worked for me. I almost bought a new dishwasher. You saved me a lot of money. Thank you!! No more Samsung appliances for me. I had problems with the fridge (about every 6months), microwave and the stove never really worked the right way.
Awesome. Glad to hear it.
I made the mistake of paying a fake plumber $110 to come and look at my machine and he wasn't able to fix it, said it needs a new case assembly and in putting the machine back, he drilled through my cabinet. he called back today and said the case is $240cad but locally I found it for $140 cad. before buying it my hubby saw this video and was able to fix the machine with that trick you did above. thank you posting this video, the most helpful thing I have ever seen online
+R Singh. What an awesome comment. Thanks for that! Glad it worked out for you, and sorry for your cabinet.
Good job. It took me longer than it did you but it worked and has been running for a week now with no problems. One difference on my dishwasher was the knob on the inside required a slight twist and then just popped off.
Thanks for the comment. Glad to hear it worked. Please subscribe to support my channel.
You really saved me. My Samsung DW7933 would show 5E code. Which is a drain error. I noticed after your video. The float was not moving up. I tapped on it. Sure enough my dishwasher started working fine. Thank you for the tip.
+Bonnie Dupree New error solved! Awesome, and thanks for the comment.
Thank you very much for such helpful video! You helped us to save so much money!
We have got this "oE" error. Called Samsung and did what they suggested. No result. Called to Samsung sub-contractors.The repairman from "Audio Video Repair", Pennsauken NJ charged us $90 for visit and diagnostics, said that a new sensor would cost about $190 and labor $160. He even suggested to change the mother-board and something else! We thought about all this expensive issue and decided that we better buy a new dishwasher tomorrow, but because you explained what to do, my husband was able to fix the problem! Appreciate your help,
Inessa
What a thoughtful comment. I’m really glad it works out for you.
Excellent video. It addresses the root cause spot on. 100%. Samsung should reward the creator of this video and incorporate the tip in their repair guidance. Many thanks Tarek.
No way. They want us to pay their repair people!
This is the worst appliance we’ve ever had but people like you keep helping us fix it 😆. Glad I found your video and stuck with it. I have to be honestly that when I got to the “this is gross” part I thought what... stick my finger in there... I can do that. Then you said to blow on it and I quickly said, out loud, “that ain’t gonna happen”. Then I realized, with a husband overseas, a repair man or getting a new dishwasher was a lot more complicated than blowing into that tube. Just a little while later, it’s back together and the machine is washing dishes instead of me! Thanks for a great, simple video!
What a fantastic and thoughtful comment. I loved it. Thank you for that. I glad it worked out for you.
Thank you, this fixed cleared up the issue with my OE error code. Warning! Be careful to not get any water from the drain hose into the motor…. That leads to an LE error code. Your video did cheat out me OE Error code. thank you so much!!!
I know there's been a lot of "this worked" comments already, but thanks for posting this, it got my dishwasher back up and running and avoided an expensive service call.
So glad to hear it. Thanks for the comment.
So great ! You helped me to save not only $, but environnement ! The tech guy asked me about 500$ without any garanty about the result. I decide to let it go... means put it in the garbage.
Again, great thanks for your time. I appreciate !
This worked for me as well...on a 5 years old Samsung Dishwasher. The inside and side looks just like the one in the video....controls on top a little different. Thanks for the post.
