Nice info Quick question I tried to put my lg dishwasher same model in diagnostic mode and it shut off rt after the wash motor test won’t go to 1lo .. also dishwasher shuts off 25 mins into the cycle
We had the LE code pop up when we tried starting a load of dishes. I ran through this test and when I got to test 5 for the water inlet it struggled for a bit and then threw the LE code at me again and ended the test. Would this confirm that the LE code is being thrown because of the water inlet? Like is it safe to assume that’s the case so I can narrow down which part to replace?
@@PartsDr okay thank you. Hopefully I won’t fix the circulation pump motor and still have the inlet valve to worry about. Inlet valve seemed doable for me but not the pump motor. Might end up calling LG to come fix it but they charge flat rate $299 😭
For the LE error code, this is what LG says to check: 1) Wiring connection is OK? (Washing Motor and Controller). Check and reconnect the wire. 2) The Impeller of Washing Pump is locked. Replace the Pump Casing assembly. 3) Is the Washing Motor is OK? Check the electric resistance of Washing Motor. 4) The Controller is troubled. Replace the Controller.

Most commonly a bad water inlet valve or a bad water inlet guide. Also, make sure to check the water supply to the dishwasher to make sure you have adequate water flow. We have a video on testing the water inlet valve here: ruclips.net/video/vrDSl24vwao/видео.html

Can you help me out? When I run test #6 I get an awful grinding/bad bearing sound. I just replaced the the motor pump. So that didn't fix it. Is it the diverter motor that's making the noise? Wish i saw this video sooner... thanks for your help.
When I pulled the old motor pump it smelled (burnt electrical). This noise has been going on for a couple weeks and thought that was the fix. No longer have the LE code but the grinding/ rubbing noise.
I have a suction noise from the circulation pump wich does not have enough water in the tub. Anyway to fix this? I have the same model. my water valve is open all the way under my sink. Thanks
Possibly a bad water inlet valve not letting enough water in or a bad water inlet guide that is not measuring properly how much water is entering the dishwasher.
Thank you, it's still under one year waranty and does it since day one. I will have it check. Problem is probably what you say, because if I manualy add water during washing cycle the noise stops. Everything else tests fine.

My same exact dishwasher is blinking during cycle and will stop mid cycle. I'm seeing other people are having the same issues. Any suggestions to fix this issue?
I have an almost 5-1/2 years old model LDP6797ST. While in the off position it suddenly started beeping, machine was empty, not in use, AE error code, and I could hear the pump motor trying to drain. It did this five times before I unplugged it. AE error code indicates Automatic Emergency leak detection. I did some research, figuring Id start with the simplest checks first. (Im a 75 yr old woman on a fixed income.) First check was to pull out the unit completely. I located the float, and jiggled it a bit, checking the pan for water. There was a bit in it, but not enough to cause an overflow on the floor. Plugged it back in, AE error code still there. Then checked the hoses for kinks or leaks at connection points. No leaks, no kinks. Plugged it back in, still seeing AE error. Arghhh! Unplugged it for 24 hrs and went to bed. Next day, I tipped the entire machine forward about 45-60 degrees (read that somewhere), a bunch of water came out onto the floor. (Shoulda used a floor towel.) After cleaning up the floor, I plugged in the unit, and the error code was gone. I powered on the the washer as usual. It worked. Well that got rid of the error code. What I don't know is what caused the problem or if it will happen again. Its working again, for now.
To me, that sounds like a seal leaking or something else & water finally built up to level that sparked the code. I wonder if it'll get to that point again & you'll have to tip it forward again.
My dishwasher seems to pass all the tests with the exception of the vent door doesn’t look like it opens, but the fan is running. Is this possibly the control panel? The device stops and beeps and won’t complete a cycle that’s what brought me to checking the dishwasher.
@@PartsDr thanks for the quick reply. I purchased a replacement fan/vent assembly from your website and replaced it. Same issue. So must be the control board or the wires like you said. Guess purchasing a new control board would be the next step.

My dishwasher seemed to “pass” this diagnostic. However, once a cycle is started, it will run for about 10 minutes before beeping a couple of times and shutting off. Every time there is a considerable amount of water in the bottom of the bowl. Could this be a bad control panel? No error codes present.

My LDF5678ST keeps tripping breaker. Diagnosis comes out fine. Can’t run test mode. Where should I start the trouble shooting? I’m thinking main board?
Start by checking the electrical connections inside the electrical box where the power supply comes into the dishwasher. See this video here: ruclips.net/video/JBoXTLpLxwU/видео.html
@@PartsDr so I was able to run test and it doesn’t let it run third test. That is the drain pump right? Also disconnected pump power and still tripped breaker. Assuming main board?

When the machine reached test number 7, the display showed C00 then 1LO with loud motor noise but no spraying either top or bottom. All other functions appear normal. Any ideas? Thanks very much!
When I engage my test mode, I get n04, d49, and U50 in the display. My test sequence differs slightly from the one you have listed. 1) Detergent door 2) Sump temp 3) Door vent blower motor 4) ?Soil sensor? Display shows "180" 5) Drain valve/motor : Good 6) Water inlet valve/motor: Good 7) Washer motor: Loud motor noise while spinning. No water to either upper or lower sprayer. I appreciate any help you can give. Thanks!
It could be caused by a bad circulation pump. If the pump motor is receiving power but it isn't running, either the pump is bad or something is jammed inside of it causing it not to turn. This is the circulation pump for your model here: partsdr.com/part/abt72989206-pump-and-casing-assembly?model=LDT5678ST---00
@@PartsDr lds5811ww -- it wasn't filling, so I bought a new inlet valve (made sure it's AC, not DC) and now it just fills continuously once power has been connected.

Great video to get me started with troubleshooting.
OE error code, not draining properly. I have checked the drain line, it is free and clear (back-blowed with air). Tub filter is removed. No air gap device installed. Ran my fingers in the drain basin but didn't feel any debri. When running through test mode, the drain motor runs, but no water drains (it hisses air lightly instead)
Advice?? TIA 👍

Hi my dishwasher has been making a loud motor noise and test #6 identified it in fact the motor. I have an LG dishwasher LDP6810SS. Would you happen to know which part on your website is the part to replace if the motor is the issue causing the loud noise on my dishwasher? Thank you!
It should be this circulation pump motor here: partsdr.com/part/agm30016301-pump-and-motor-assembly
Thank you for this valuable information, you sir just saved me lots of time and $$, narrowed down to the variable motor. THANK YOU!!!

@@susanwhite5638 It is small motor on the bottom of the dishwasher that diverts the water from the washer pump between the upper and lower wash arms.
Thank you for an awesome video. When I get to test 7 I get a C56 and 1 LO code. Never gets the upper arm code. I confirmed the vario valve and microswitch are good. Would you suspect the controller board?
Usually you have to narrow down the problem like you are doing by process of elimination. You could also check the wiring between the parts and the control board.
I am having this exact same message “C56”. Did you ever figure out what this was??

Hi I have a LG dishwasher and it keeps popping up error code BE and I checked the leveling and also ran milk just like it said to and then had a plumber look at the leveling part and he said its leveled. What’s the AE error code can you run test during that time?
My LG dishwasher LDF 7561ST has a start delay feature but it doesn’t allow a delay selection more than 19h.
The user manual says the delay can be set up to 24h. I have turned off the braker for 10 sec, twice, but, whatever the programme chosen, the delay limit is still 19h, with a incrementation of 1h at each push. There are no error code.
What could be wrong?
Hi there, I have LG dishwasher model LDP6797ST. All of sudden it stopped working. It has power but does not show on the touch pad buttons and not working. Can anyone help.
Hi
This is very informative.
I have question thought, can we test rinse aid dispenser with service test mode?
I have the ldf5545ss model. I have changed the noise filter thrice already. On each change, the dishwasher starts working and goes off midway. and the Noise filter goes bad too. What coulkd be the cause? I have used other appliances on the power socket and they work fine.
It could be some component on the dishwasher that is bad and drawing high current causing the fuse on the noise filter to blow.
@@PartsDr such as which part?

Nice info
Quick question I tried to put my lg dishwasher same model in diagnostic mode and it shut off rt after the wash motor test won’t go to 1lo .. also dishwasher shuts off 25 mins into the cycle
That could indicate that something in the vario valve system isn't working properly. It would be a good place to start your troubleshooting.
The LE error code is a motor error. This is usually a problem with the circulation pump motor.
@@PartsDr okay thank you. Hopefully I won’t fix the circulation pump motor and still have the inlet valve to worry about. Inlet valve seemed doable for me but not the pump motor. Might end up calling LG to come fix it but they charge flat rate $299 😭
do you know how to put LG LDF9932ST into test mode
Fails test #7
Does this imply pulling the unit out or can the motor be checked for an obstruction in place?
Flagging an LE code
For the LE error code, this is what LG says to check:
1) Wiring connection is OK? (Washing Motor and Controller). Check and reconnect the wire.
2) The Impeller of Washing Pump is locked. Replace the Pump Casing assembly.
3) Is the Washing Motor is OK? Check the electric resistance of Washing Motor.
4) The Controller is troubled. Replace the Controller.
Did this and the soap dispenser did not open. How do i fix it?
We have a LDF5545ss that’s giving the ie code. I have a water inlet valve order but I can see the water inside the water inlet guide when it’s filling and the bowl fills then a 30 seconds later it flashes the ie code. Any thoughts?
Most commonly a bad water inlet valve or a bad water inlet guide. Also, make sure to check the water supply to the dishwasher to make sure you have adequate water flow. We have a video on testing the water inlet valve here: ruclips.net/video/vrDSl24vwao/видео.html
For the LDFN454 model i had to hold START, then AUTO, then POWER to go into test mode.

@@lucca450we would open the door and leave open in between dish washing cycles to let it dry. It seems to have work.
I fixed my issue…. Power on and hold start for 3 seconds and it will drain out standing water…. It i cleans the filter before and ran disposal. 👍
My dishwasher seems to pass all the tests with the exception of the vent door doesn’t look like it opens, but the fan is running. Is this possibly the control panel?
The device stops and beeps and won’t complete a cycle that’s what brought me to checking the dishwasher.
From what you are describing, it could be a bad main control board, a bad vent, or bad wiring between the two.
@@PartsDr thanks for the quick reply. I purchased a replacement fan/vent assembly from your website and replaced it. Same issue. So must be the control board or the wires like you said. Guess purchasing a new control board would be the next step.
