  • This video shows how I fixed my Samsung model DW80F800UWS dishwasher from leaking water out of the white steam vent in the front under the door.
    I have also found out this repair also works on the Samsung model DW80J3020US dishwasher as well.
    If you liked the video and it helped, please give it a "thumbs up". I always like hearing if this helped folks out, so let me know and leave a comment below. Thanks for watching!

    Wonderful video. I have cleaned the filter, inspected the seals, have taken it out to look for leaks, let it sit for weeks to dry out and nothing stopped the HEAVY indication or the leaks. This took about 15 minutes and last night, no leaks from the left side, AND no water spilling out when I open it in the morning from the steam vent. THANKS. I was very close to buying another one because of the frustration.

    Thanks for all your time and research in troubleshooting this issue. I had the same problem with mine and after watching You Tube videos, just cleaned the debris from behind the round access panel and the white plastic vent with a round food brush and it is not leaking now. Apparently this is a know issue and when I called Samsung customer service they should have recommended this fix but instead had NISI an Authorized Repair center contact me to provide service which they quoted; "$80 trip and diagnostic and $80 for labor plus parts and tax". I also own a Samsung refrigerator with other issues as well, I ALSO WILL NOT BE PURCHASING ANYMORE SAMSUNG KITCHEN APPLIANCES!

    This fix did the trick, leaked a little as the water was cleared out. Only by Samsung appliances if you like to do repair work. Fridge has broke 4 time (ice maker cover, Mullion spring, warped drawer and something in the back that was making lots of noise) The last two were early on and covered by warrantee. Second time the dishwasher has broke, first time the drain pump jammed. Control nodes for the stove are on order and we've only owned these for about 3 1/2 years.

      Brian, I am glad that this video helped you out. This was a constant issue we dealt with for a few months. We didn't have the money to pay a repair company to just swap parts and hope for the best. I have to do this "repair" every couple of months as the junk starts to build up but knowing how to do it now saves me some time. Thanks again for the shout out and good news that this helped you out.

    Thanks so much for your advice. I followed your instructions. So much gunk - gross! I hope it works. If not, I suspect it could be the rubber gasket along the bottom of the dishwasher door. I was wiping it to remove gunk and pieces of rubber broke off. I guess it has lost elasticity over the years and become brittle. There is now a gap along the bottom edge. I'm wondering if that rubber piece (different from the gasket along the sides and top) will need replacement? Happy Easter, folks.

    • @meridianjumper
      @meridianjumper  3 года назад

      I do find the same issue with lots of debris getting caught up in there. I am not sure if it is a design fault of Samsung or not. I had looked at the angle of mine with a level to see if it was leaning out a little more causing the junk to flow to the front and found that I needed to make a small adjustment to raise the front end a little to make it more even overall. This seemed to help a little bit every month or so, I do a full detail cleaning of that area now.

    FYI. The lid doesn’t need taken off. Just push down on it and spin it off. The white plastic piece comes off with it. The under side of the lid has lips that catch like teeth and help it off.
