Excellent video(s)… it takes a LOT of skill to captain this boat, crew with perfection giving the clients the best time possible. Hats off to you. I live in Cannes, and know most of the Côte d’Azur as you can take boat shuttles to most towns and cities along the coast. There’s a lot of glitz, yatchs, fireworks, beaches… there’s also the day to day life in the South of France which is pretty good. The entire coastline is simply beautiful.

Excellent video (I did reach the end!) ;-)
Regarding blowing the horn - I thing everyone wants to (people saying no are lieing!). I recall a clip with a little girl on a breakwater, seeing a cargo ship (I guess 600+ ft) go by. She was making that pulling motion, signalling, "please honk!". Nothing happens for a while. At some point she turns away, disappointed. In that moment, the ship apparently reached the decision to humor her and blew the horn ... *MUCH* louder than she expected, at first she looked really startled and then she was jumping for joy :-))

About squeezing in between the other boats - what I've learned is, you talk to your neighbors how much chain they have out, then scoot about that much forward in the direction the other boats are facing, drop your hook and slowly back into your planned position, paying out chain as you go.
If everyone does that, a wind change produces a nice boat ballet without anyone getting into trouble. 🙂

If i were ever so lucky to be able to afford a loon charter, i certainly would not want to spend it in an anchorage where you are super yacht number 7 or 8. Go over to corsica! Go to places only a boat can reach, girolata, desert des agriates, plage ostriconi... enjoy ninas cooking in total seclusion! Why do i need a superyacht if all the luxuries are available at the beach... waiting in line, certainly not.

When you book a charter, I’m pretty sure you get to say where you want to go and what you want to do. A lot of yachting in the Med high season is about showing off and socializing in all the see-and-be-seen places; to do that, you need to be where the people are. I guess this was this group’s (or whoever was paying) style.

If I'm not mistaken, Courtney is the big boss and she assigns every position in the interior department plus she's the one always in contact with the "Principal" (the person who is chartering the yacht and she tries to make their requests possible). The head of Housekeeping makes sure bedrooms, bathrooms, and social areas of the yacht are always in optimal condition for guest's use, in other words, Sonja is a boss with her small team of stewardesses but all are still under Courtney.
