So nice to see a yacht that is truly personal, and designed to live on. It's in the nature of private yachts that we never get to see them, until such time they come for sale, and by then they've often been refit for charter (and all look the same). Seems everybody made it on to Maverick, this is now my 3rd tour of her LOL, but I'm not complaining, she's worth watching.
Super yachts don't normally do it for me but this one is just a different level of cool. Very stylish but in a much more casual and relaxed way. Loved everything about it and I'm pretty jealous of the fun the family will have travelling the world on board. Fantastic.
@@brandonprisby5142 It's an Amphicruiser, a dutch conversion of the Toyota Land Cruiser 70. They cost around 150.000€ to 400.000€ depending on the model.
This is a gorgeous yacht that would pamper you anywhere in the world for a very long time without having to go into port. If you really want to getaway from things, this would be your boat. Great review👍.
I've seen other Channels show this boat but when you do a walkthrough you somehow make it look like a completely different boat. Love the boat, love the channel.
A truly impressive yacht, the best I've seen! Everyone involved in designing and decorating it, including the family, should be extremely proud of what they have achieved. It is great to see a yacht that is made for living onboard and not just occasional holidays and entertaining. I wish the family well on their voyage, bon voyage.
Love it, nothing pretentious, all super homey, functional, and modern at the same time! Definitely the benchmark for a full-time live-in explorer yacht.
I am genuinely impressed with this ship. As always you guys do an amazing job of touring the boat - but most importantly, explaining so much along the way - about the ship, about the industry, and about stuff that us mortals may not know or think about. As for the ship - this is such an amazing balance between upscale luxury with practicality. It looks and I'm willing to be would feel in person, amazing, but it's not stuffy. It's chic and well designed and yet feels homely. It has exactly what the owners want but also what the crew would need to make living and working onboard for seven years actually work. Kudos to the owners for designing something so impressive!
All i say is wow. Amazing vessel. This family is going to have the ability to make so many lifelong memories upon their journeys. Tastefully done, but not pretentious. Spacious yet cozy and inviting. Pretty tough things to do all at the same time but they've nailed it.
What a beautiful design both architecturally and interior! It all makes so much sense. I always enjoy your Vlogs Jack. You present very well, you are obviously knowledgeable. I think that I could enjoy myself on a boat like this. It sounds like the family who owns this are very "down to earth". Which is awesome.
Wow, beautiful. This is the first YB video I have seen and it is good. I found the owners and guests being able to be self sufficient quite refreshing.
I see the rationale about her use. Having been an avid viewer for years and having therefore seen my fair share of SY's. This one immediately stood out to, along with speaking to, me about its beauty in both form & function. Outside looking in aside. I genuinely hope that this family's 7 year adventure brings all the joy and unique experiences they are aiming for. The yard and the design team deserve recognition for what they've created.
Love an explorer MY. Maverick would be my ultimate boat it ticks every box. What an amazing experience the owners are going to have, not to mention the crew. The internal detail and functionality are brilliant. Lovely design, what a great idea a swinging seat! not bling at all which just isn't me. Great presentation as ever Jack. 👍
Wow phenomenal, I'm left feeling this might be the most impressive yacht you've toured so far, imagine being able to just allocate the next 7 years of your life to travelling the world on a yacht like this, it's very rare for me to feel envious but this vid really did in a similar way that the vauxhall corsa boys and girls will be envious of this yachts exhaust system 😆🥴, cheers team. 👍❤️🇬🇧
I’m very fortunate to get on board yachts like this but something about Maverick really struck a chord with me. Something, if money allowed, I’d dream to do with my family - Jack
Sometime Jack you get that ship that will stop you snd the viewers in their tracks. Maverick certainly does that. An exploration yacht capable of dealing with any types of sea. A boat to look after a family and crew, that is safe, comfortable, a family home from home. Would love to see her walk her exterior and interior, she quality exceptional quality. Thanks Jack.
Was pretty fast through the living room, but from what I saw, this has to be the first time I have seen a yacht with an actual serious sound system. Floor standing speakers, and from what I can see, judging from the look of the ceiling, a huge TV folds down. Nice home theatre in other words. This boat has everything you need. Gym, home theatre, serious kitchen, pool, incredible relaxation zones etc etc. Brilliant.
She has packed more into that hull size than we managed on a 65m. Ok, we had a 10,000 mile range and a recompression chamber in the dive-room. Bloody lovely boat.
Sensational review given the size of the yacht and the time you had. I’m a big fan of owner operated yachts but I loved this: Explorer yachts push my buttons! Not visiting 🇦🇺 & Pacific?
I think that when you have a "live on" yacht, it is o needs to be very practical, not just full of arty objects that have no use just visual pleasure. Love this yacht with all the little self service kitchenettes.
She is a dream yacht. If I had that kind of money, I wouldn't hesitate for a split second in buying one. The 7 year world cruise planned, I would love that. My only gripe and this is just me personally. I much prefer the owner cabin on the main deck. Then above the sky lounge come home cinema. I've said if I was to live like this the crew would be friends. I wouldn't want them running around unseen. They would be lounging around with me, having fun. Great tour Jack, thanks for taking us on a tour of her. Now just need those lottery numbers to come up
I've always thought the same about crew. I can't imagine living in that kind of close proximity with people who weren't my friends. I usually end up making friends even with people I hire part time to do household jobs who *aren't* live-in. So if I'm going to hire staff for a yacht -- and I might end up doing that one day; my husband and I have talked about maybe selling our house and going liveaboard on a catamaran in a few years, with a couple of crew to help us handle the serious ocean sailing we'd want to do -- then I will definitely need to be careful to hire people who won't feel like strangers.
I always thought the same with staff and crew in general, but once you have hired people around you, you need to make sure they're not getting too comfortable. You pay a high dollar for their service and you don't want to pay them hundreds each day to chill out with your cocktails and enjoy the lavish millionaires lifestyle. People tend to loose interest in the actual work. Nothing against a friendly atmosphere, but work is work and fun is fun.
@@AndyNC I guess so, but the truth is that I am not interested in "enjoying the lavish millionaire lifestyle" either. I don't hire people to give me a lifestyle better than theirs; I hire people to make it possible for me to experience things that I can't experience otherwise -- either because I don't have the requisite knowledge or because my chronic illness limits my strength. So I'm happy to have my helpers live the same way I live, except that they are providing the effort that makes it possible for us to jointly live that way while I'm providing the money that makes it possible. Honest people who take pride in their work -- and I'm pretty good at finding them -- understand this, and are not going to slack off just because I treat them as partners in this enterprise rather than as beneath me! If I treat them well, I've found that they are likely to work faithfully... both because they like and appreciate me, and because they want to keep the job. Bottom line: I have never had to create artificial differences in lifestyle between myself and the people I hire, in order for them to give me their best work. If I really wanted to live in a lavish style that involved being waited on hand and foot perhaps I would need to... but that's not the way I choose to live now, and I doubt very much that I'll choose to live that way once I'm doing it on a boat either.
Did anyone else immediately think about the BG72 or 54 when they saw this gorgeous thing? I don’t think Jack reviewed either, but he did do the 70’ cat & 42. 👍
It would be interesting to see how the crew is managed for these long, round the world trips. How long do they spend on board ? Are they couples ? and so on. It could make a nice follow up video.
From the (albeit brief) conversations I had with some of the crew during the shoot, they seemed very excited and thrilled to be on a yacht that was going to take them places. It’s clearly a pretty unique assignment but incredibly rewarding for the right person - Jack
I would have liked to see the crane. I read an article but there were no pics of the crane in action. Anyhow this is absolutely beautiful and I am looking forward to the summer of 2026 when Maverick is in the Northwest Passage. I hope to see them when they get to Rankin Inlet
What has kept me from buying things like this is the upkeep and crew/staff costs. I bought a smaller home and property because of the long-term maintenance costs and increasing labor costs. If I feel like enjoying something like this, I'll just rent the experience or go small for the long term. I have family that have had vessels like this, and they've never kept them for very long. I would rent something like this for a season, sure.
One thing about super rich people I've learned is that they're incredibly unlikely to actually do the 7 year trip before they get bored and move on to something else. Best case, family members will be in and out of the boat regularly, flying in to meet it for a few weeks a few times a year and then jetting off to hang out with the other rich kids, do work, whatever. Maybe that's the idea - easy enough to land a heli on the back of this thing.
If i won the billion dollar power ball this is what i would do with it. What a way to see the world! Maybe a billion wouldn't be enough? How much does something like this cost?
