- Welcome back, Loon crew.
This week, we are back in the south of France, cruising along the spectacular Cote d'Azur on the 221' Superyacht Loon. We pick up from Saint Tropez and head to the infamous Pampelonne beach, then cruise over to Cap'd Antibes and end the charter in the beautiful Villefranche.
We are thrilled to announce the launch of our Loon Crew Patreon account. Members will get exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the crew and will be warmly invited to join the crew onboard for a member lunch, making you a part of our journey.

The season is going full steam this week as we sail along the Cote D'Azur. The crew did a fantastic job with this charter, delivering the guests a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Thank you, as always, for watching. If you haven't already done so, head to our website to get yourself Loon Crew Merchandise, and check out our Patreon for more insides and behind the scenes with the Loon crew.
See you next week 🛥😎
Captain Paul did you report the person shining the laser at the Loon?
Stay safe and thank you for sharing this great video
Best one so far skipper
❤ Loon
Misuse of a laser device in a manner likely to cause harm, danger on injury to person's or property is an arrestable offence in France. Not going to tell you how to do you own job but a call to the local gendarmes, any French navy, coastal / coastguard vessel on the guard channel would obligate a response to investigate.
I tend to agree that half the time it's some young kid whose too young to know better or his parents didn't bother explain. The rest then it's idiots with little sense. When a response occurs. Even if the person isn't found the presence of authority figures normally has them tuck their toy and their tails between their legs.
Alternatively you could look at jerry-rigging sloops grenades to drop from drones on such people ( As that's probably a crime as well i'll clarify that was :/s)
Paul, when oh when is international shipping going to be available on the merch?
The Guests inviting the Crew to dine together on the last evening is obviously something very special and speaks volumes.
Well done.
Thank you. Its always our highlight for us to be invited to join the guests at the end of a trip 🛥😎
@@motoryachtloon On board The Black Pearl though, 'Dining with the Crew' was a whole different experience. 🤣🤣
Says they were pretty chilled out guests too who don't take themselves too seriously and appreciate what the crew did for them and want to spend time together
Sounds like it was quite a boozy charter from Paul's comments at thr end! 🍻🍷🍹🍼🍸
@@richardcook1987 It's always important to have enough alcohol under the keel of the vessel!!
As soon as my uncle Lottery gives me an inheritance, Loon and I are going to have a date! I can't wait to try chef Nina's meals. Love your videos and thanks for all the hard work to share!
The "We should do a baguette fight" cut to "whack-whack-whack" and then cut to the water is chef's kiss
This has been said many times before and will be said many times hereafter, but Steve is knocking it out of the park with these videos.
Thank you!!! We think so to 🛥️🙏
The person shining the laser is childish. Extremely dangerous to be doing. Good to see Paul, crew/guests, and Loon are safe.
he's being a little bitch over a laser.
Interested if you got feedback from the authorities?? Totally unacceptable behavior !!
Steve I'm liking the transitions between scenes. It's much better than the jumpy ones when you first started. Good job! 👍
Much smoother changes, you're really hitting it now. Thank you.
For sure! The editing keeps improving! I have grown quite fond of this channel! Keep up the good work!!!!!
The weather, the location, the food and the fun. Simply perfect! 🎉
These videos which whisk me away to far lands that I may never visit are like a vacation to my 👀s and ❤. I thank you so very much for all of this, every second of footage is fantastic to me. 🤗 🍷
Capt. Paul: It is so kind of you to test all the toys first to make sure the boys don't get hurt!! 🙂
Someones got to show the young ones how to do it 😜
@@motoryachtloon Captain Paul: an expert opinion is always required. 😉
@@chericornish4800 😂😅😂
@@seltexmx LOL 👍
How you guys keep up perfection is beyond me. Yet another brilliant video.
Amazing video as always! Food looked amazing! Cant wait to see next weeks video!
Thanks Pengu! 🛥️🐧
That's great idea having one day crew and guest dinner party. I think that ties up the loon experience well and puts personal touch on things.
Nice to re-live us crossing your path in the bay of Villefranche by watching this beautiful video. We basically live Paul’s retirement plan on a comfortable 17m sailing yacht sailing the same waters without crew, watching your videos to keep inspired and learn from the pro’s, thanks! Ernst & Saskia S/Y Petite Lune. PS Paul can come test what post work life is all about anytime😉
What a nice crew you have Capt. Paul! Everyone seems to have such a positive vibe about them. I really enjoy watching these videos
Good work Detective Steve!!!!!
That last night BBQ spread though 😋 I just keep loving your channel more and more! So much better than "Below Deck".
I can't imagine my wife and i affording a cruise on MY Loon, thanks for letting us get a look at the life aboard
What a way to finish up on a Sunday night. Yet another brilliant video, went to Antibes when I was 12 but stayed in a mobile home, was great but being on Loon would have been a million times better. Cant wait for next Sunday.
Thank you! wow Antibes has changed a lot since then maybe time for another visit and maybe some Loon spotting 🛥😎
@@motoryachtloon I was actually 12 not 2 lol. Still.a very long time ago. Wasn't built up the way it is now and there was no Marina.
Great video guys! loved every minute of it
That was an old-school itinerary for a classic week of yachting in the Med ☀️
The green laser pointer harassment was crazy. I wonder if it’s related to protests against over-tourism? Please let us know if anything comes of your report, or if other yachts have had the same experience.
America's FBI does investigate Laser Pointer incidents directed at airplanes. It's extremely dangerous as it can blind pilots most often when they're in critical phases of flight like landing. It doesn't merely "suck" it's actually a criminal offense. Not sure if it's similar over in Europe.
Wish the French authorities we reported it to took it as seriously. I doubt they did anything 🤷♂️
German (France's neighbor) authorities at least take aircraft offenses seriously. Shining a laser at an aircraft can get you up to 10 years in prison.
Having that drone pinpoint the idiot precisely could have given the police all they need to prosecute...
Fantastic thank you Loonies❤️⚓️
Wow, I hope you guys got that laser bro stopped. Also, big ups to Nina, that sushi night menu looked super! And Captain Paul looked great on the foil...
Love the map work. Really helpful.
Let’s go!! Perfect Sunday for sailing
Sailing?
I am "a little bit older" now but I would definitely get on that wake foil and would definitely appreciate the add on. Your landing is spectacular though. I would not have the guts to do that one. We used to spend our summers on wake boards pulled behind boats. I got excited watching you on the wake foil!
Great video, but I would love to see longer videos… maybe 45-60mins. I feel you have plenty of content for longer videos and 30mins goes by quickly with only one video a week. Thank you for taking us along, I miss the tip share part of the videos as well. Thank you loon
Another great video everyone keep up the amazing job that all of you do I can’t wait for the next video now I have to wait until next Sunday that’s too long we need videos like that 2 times a week 🤞please captain Paul?lol I love you guys John from south jersey in the USA the good part of the state lol 😆
The laser outlaw, should be tracked and arrested and jailed. This laser beam can cause eye damage. I once had it happen on a movie set and had to be treated at emergency room. Sorry this happened Cap😢
Loons front hydraulic storage compartments are wild. That takes up alot of loons space from the looks of it. It would be interesting to see those compartments in more detail.
Hope we get a lazar update. That's so stupid. Looks like another great charter. Good times.
Thank you really enjoyed seeing the beautiful French Riviera Coastline & all your adventures, shame about the laser- glad you’re all OK, good to view the new ‘water foil’ addition, looks be gr8t for the more mature guests! Gr8t photography shots, amazing timing to see the Tour de France cycling through! thank you, safe travels watching from a cold & wet North UK 👏🌟🛳🏄♂️🌊☀️🥳
Epic video again!! Very impressive boat landing on the foil thingy Captain!!
Love from Mary in Southern California 💗
F1 & MYL great Sunday traditions
What a great great race with Piastri taking the win 🛥🏎️🇦🇺
Great video, would love to see more of what the engineers get up to!
Look after Nina, without her you can close the restuarant !!!!
Agree worth her weight in gold and then some always knocks it out of the park food wise and comes across as a genuine soul as well
Let’s not forget about Dean. Also a master in the galley 🎉
Get your eyes checked later on. Keep well. P.S.. although given the time of publishing difference, maybe too late, but still the eye check is worthwhile.
Another great video! I’m guessing the laser guy has been doing that to many boats in the area. What did the police say? I hope he gets caught! I think you are winding down your season now- hope you get some well deserved down time! Thanks Loon crew!
Hello Loon Crew, I recently discovered your channel. Steve From Enoree, SC. USA. Everyone, all smiles, working hard, living out your dream jobs. Definitely one of the best offerings on RUclips. I'd love to see some classic group crew photos in Black and White after each charter. Captain Clarke, you must be very proud of your crew. Thanks for the unique experience of your channel. Take Care!
👀👀never a dull moment!
One of the best edited Loon videos so far!
thank you 🛥☺️
I wondered if you would see the TdF. Super cool that you caught it!
What!!?!?! The E-foil is now a rib tender!??!?! That thing is a game changer!!!
So much easier for learners. The learning curve can put people off using them but the Blowfish will change that.
Great job. Great video. Thanks for continuing to bring us great content. Thanks for sharing.
It was so much fun to see Loon laying in the bay during the TT of the Tour de France!
I was waiting to see it appear in the video!
Did the authorities do anything about the laser light? That guy was a real pain in the a*s! 🤬
Great charter guys! As always, Nina rocked!💪🏻🔥
watching the final stage of the TDF in person from Loon was a highlight of the season
You all have great jobs and a blessed life enjoy
Another great share, thanks so much! #CREW
Great video! Phenomenal last day BBQ!
That food off the Webers looked Amazing.

Saffas for days! Makes sense as South Africans are known for their work ethic. Lekker 🇿🇦
Great audio transitions 👍🏻🤩
Hi! Amazing videos of Loon in the Mediterranean.🤩 🌍Why are you now in Imperia? Are you planning to take part to the Genoa Boat show? What's next? Will you cross the Atlantic back to Caraibbean?🚢🚢 Thanks for sharing your business and your enthusiasm.😄😍🤩
Love your channel!
Awesome video. The final evening barbeque looked so good. Great footage of the crew and with the chefs on fire as always!
Chef Nina and Judy all crush the guest/ crew bbq
Another shout-out to Steve for great content and views, excellent work MY Loon
Xmina hoooot! ❤🔥
Hi Sonya. Think of you often. Nice to see you on you tube. Scotts mom and Megan’s Aunt - from London Ontario. ❤
I've seen Loon is listed for sale, is this in preperation for a new Loon? Always great seeing these 'Day in the life' episodes, Thank you for giving us an insight to the Super Yacht world and what it takes to keep it going!
You never know..
Buggers used to shine lasers at my aircraft on approach into some airports. Bloody dangerous but difficult to catch the scumbags.
Paul, we missed hearing the tip amount. At least the percentage if not the actual cash value.
Prob not good marketing discussing if the guests were good or not. 😁 Was entertaining for the viewers though.
yeah i would like to know the tip amoun too haha
same but, tbh if i were a guest i'd probably think that that should be private, unless you specifically want to have it be everybody else's business.
Reminds me on trip to Rhodes )
No tip this time? It’s always fun to know how you did!
That horn prank is cruelty 😂
Hope the fool with the laser doesn’t procreate.
At the moment I think I can afford approx 0.003s of charter time. Where can I book?
Much love to you all from me and Liz in Norfolk, UK x
I hope the cops caught the laser dude. Great show, love the inflatable skirt on the foil.
21:02 that's what she said......
Get a bearing/ location of the light if you can and report them!! That is not a childish prank it can cause serious vision problems as you noticed. A lot of countries have laws about people doing such things. If it is being done at night, it just may be being done during daylight which will make the light very hard to see. As a precaution, glasses are made to protect a person from laser light. Maybe get some for the bridge as a precaution.
dude i can picture me hoppin on a jet ski and flying onto the beach in search of the person with the laser trying to BLIND ME and BEATI...... im gonna stop myself lol
As I wrote in another comment, I don't know the legalities in France. While giving the idiot a good drubbin' might make you feel better, putting him behind bars for a few years also has a certain appeal... ;-)
Hey great videos. Obviously the way you edit them makes them popular. I'd like to see a more technical edit that focuses on the engineers and systems, and not cutting to music when they do their actual work. Maybe another channel or just a tech video.
Easy charter for the chefs 😂😂
Never heard of club sancon sanc 😂
"Are you ready Steve?" The opening line of Ballroom Blitz by the Sweet.
I couldn't understand how good Paul's audio was until he got off the lift foil. Sneaky mic on the hat. Nice job.
Damn, the distance that laser travels is ridiculous!
What a place. What a charter. What a chef(Go Nina).
Hope they get that person with the laser. Some folks are so stupid.
Yay
Why no tip talks anymore? That was always so interesting to see! 🥳
Very nice video though. The videos keep on getting better even though they are already at a very high quality.
I've been binge-watching the videos so far, and I've been loving it!, But something has recently changed in editing. So maybe this is useful feedback for the editor: The music sometimes feels all over the place (genre + moods) and often doesn't fit the scene because it changes so much compared to the previous music scene, some shots are overexposed, not color graded and just mushy (see the bridge shots after the intro in the beginning). There are also transitions between scenes that have no continuity. For example, the beach is shown, then how the jetskis are put into the water and 10 seconds later the ship leaves the anchorage without any narration. Also, the opening scene with the captain cursing felt very atypical compared to Loons other great videos. Almost a bit of a turn-off. I don't know what changed, but something has changed for sure. The reason why I love the other videos is that they always tell a good story, have a timeline to follow, have the crew explaining what they are doing are very cinematic and show people working and enjoying doing it and being great at it. Keep it up!
I miss hearing how much the tip was. Bring it back.
Brilliant vid, well done to crew.
Q, when guest go to restaurant and crew go see setup, fabulous, guests I assume pay that bill for dinning separate to charter charges .
Maungaturoto, New Zealand.
Exactly. We make sure everything goes smoothly for the guests upon their arrival at the restaurant and that the table and service staff are briefed. Yes, they pay the bill at restaurants, although we can help if they desire.
keep safe ear lobes loves
Captain Paul, has Loon been sold? Can you provide update on the search for a new(er) Loon? Thanks!
No, not yet. We're still looking for that perfect buyer. We'll take you guys along as we look for the new Loon at the Monaco boat show later this month.
@@motoryachtloonLooking forward to that. You know we’ll have lots of opinions and want polls to vote, right?
Great video, as always!
Audio could use some evening out, if possible (too loud some times, too quiet other times). Very, very minor quibble!
Small question - when you guys are doing your post charter wrap-up, you have Courtney next to you which makes sense as she's the Chief Stew, but why is Nina next to her facing the crew? Is it a rank thing or is it because she's in charge of the kitchen (so you have deck, inside, and food represented)?
When guests go ashore, is their tap picked up by Loon, i.e. covered through by the APA, or do guests settle directly with the restaurant/club?
I wondered the same.
Depends on how the guests want to handle it. Sometimes, we'll cove it and charge it to their expense account, but most of the time, the guest will pay directly.
Love your videos, but what is going to happen once Loon is getting sold? Are you guys staying or will the new owner decide? 🤞🤞🤞
When you wash the boat
is that with fresh water or salt water?
Every time I see one of these videos it reminds me to buy a lottery ticket.....I can always dream.
Is the restaurant excursions part of the entire charter package or do guests pay restaurants separately?
🤣🤣🤣
Everything is extra. Charter price is just for the boat. Food, drinks, fuel, dockage, and any shore activities, plus of course crew gratuities are extra.
In aviation this matter it’s taken very seriously and usually police is willing to deploy the heli without hesitation in order to find these criminals.
If the laser hits your eyes, try to not look directly at any source of lights (interior light, screens etc.) and do not rub your eyes.
Do you guys ever get to Portofino? Love that place!
You should report the laser clown to the police! With the position and time they might be able to track him down. Also let your eyes checked! Laser safty goggles might be a good investment.
Edit: Saw later that you did it!
Capt Paul, Did the local authorities catch the laser clown?
Trevion Alley
lets go
Has Nina left Loon? She had really cryptic Insta post.
Her smile hasn't been the same lately. Something's up!
Anyone got a good travel vlogger that takes these kinds of trips? I wanna see the fun side to all this work.
Love. gratus Loon. very great everyone. Eat Jain Hindu foods for each meal. enjoy plants as well cheeses
I would love to charter Loon but I can't afford it though.
