    good video. In my opinion, you left out or t least did not show with any emphasis the key setup step of the rails. You want to do something like placing a little sand (1/4 minus chip) down around the rails and then raise them and maybe lower then slightly with a dead blow to get your exact grade in both directions. If you are skipping this step, that would mean that you took a bunch of extra time to precisely level and slope the 3/4 minus base layer, vs just getting it flat (compacted) and close in slope.

      No, the bedding layer, the sand, will compact when the stones are compacted before you sweep in the joint sand.

    May I ask the pipes should place horizontal or vertical before screening?

      The pipe should be round or square and placed parallel to the direction you are screeding.

      We screeded ASTM C33 Sand AND 1/4” chip to show the difference.
