This a really really great informative video with enormous insight on what why and how during a paver install. You definitely do not talk too much, i enjoy the way you come in and out of the bottom of the screen to touch on important things as you see them come into the video. Thanks!
This is a “MUST SEE” video for any DIY’er’s . I am almost finished a 16yo x 20’ area and cannot stress enough that this is hard physical work (i only had wheelbarrows to work with). Hats off to you who do it on a daily!
Being retired and never working in this type of business, I enjoy hearing you Stan explaining what is happening on screen. I worked in a machine shop for forty years so this type of thing is interesting to me. Thanks and please keep doing it.
I personally like it the more you explain a project. The more you explain the more I learn so the better the results. The difference between my first and second retaining walls was amazing. For the second I took tips from your videos. Than you!!!

You don't know how much this helps us noobs brutha. I have come to feel like I am part of your Dirt Monkey crew. When I get done with my project which includes a outdoor fireplace I want to send you pics. Not only because I'm proud of the work that this handicap one-man band is doing but because you and your crew taught me so much.
The commentary is why I come here for these videos. Great learning experience every time, and sometimes I say to myself "Hey we used to do it that way back in the day!"
Thanks so... much Stan and the crew, I'm new to landscaping and I love this career path. These videos are like homework preparing me for the Jobs I do at work. I just learned how to use those screed bars for the base, I was trying to figure out a much easier way to set the height of the class 5 base, and now I know how. Be Blessed all of you...!

love your videos have been watching for years. I have been doing lawn maintenance for 20 years and tired of it. Looking to stop turning down paver jobs. Plus taking on those job would allow me to finally hire some help and not have to do everything myself or turn down some work sometimes because I am too tired from doing lawns and seal coating. Love these paver videos please continue and also the snow removal I love too
I’m in the process of buying my first house, and will do all my own work in the yard. I can’t wait to pave all around, it should be super nice. Your channel is very informative, thank you so much!

Stan.. did a massive 700 sqfoot paver patio in my backyard with a pavilion in the middle. Me and my kids watch all your videos and got a lot of helpful information.
Ive been watching you for years and love your project. I and a Forman in the NC area for hardscapes and we use the same general method as you guys. A few things we do differently though. We use SS5 soil separator fabric under every patio. It is somewhat permeable so any water trapped can wear through. Followed by 4-6 inches of ABC amd instead of using sand we use 1-1.5 inches of 89 stone compacted. This stone allows the water trapped under patios to weap out but won't shift over time like sand if the patio experiences heavy weather. Last step is laying patio, tamp and sand it in. The only thing we have used sand for is travertine patios. Love watching you guys work; always something to learn from you guys. Keep it up.
Greetings from Denmark! Thank you for the videos. Learning alot. Not many people give away so many tricks. I think it only helps everybody (you and others) Keep it up!

My first dump trailer not only paid for itself, it actually paid me to buy it. Love it. Best purchase in a long time for our home renovations business. How did it pay for itself? Many times we had a small to medium demo, yet the cost of a dumpster is a few hundred bucks. So now we just use the dump trailer when a 30 yd dumpster isnt needed. Even after labor and dump fees we have calculated that we save about $100 per month from our previous demo disposal costs. Gotta love that
These are great videos! I'm hoping to do 2 medium jobs at my place and these are really helpful. You guys do such meticulous work! My Dad always taught me.."If you're gonna do a job..do it right". That's what I see here.

Keep up the detailed content, I'm about to tackle a pretty serious paving and pergola job at home, so I'm lapping up the tips. Cheers from Australia.
When we would put a patio in the guy we worked for had us mix 4 parts sand and 1 part portland cement. He said this the way they would lay them in Italy. This base would get hard and not shift. You have a great crew and they seem to enjoy their work.

Wow Stan! Your guys make it look so easy! Beautiful!
Thanks so much!
This is a great style video..watching the guys while hearing your narration is a good combination for learning. thank you..hope to see more of this style actually!! I took pictures of the steps during the video. One piece of feedback....you could add text into the video during Edit to list the steps, label things like "class 5 base"....etc. "carry a rubber mallet!" even some entertainment value in here....LOL....great stuff.
Man these videos are so helpful along with my gravely being ordered im also having a house built and the yard isnt very big so I'm using pavers to cover most of it up to my bar that I built
Then you'll love this week- its all pavers all week long hahah
We just put in our first herringbone patio, turned out great! Learned tips from you guys
these videos are so fun to watch, because I worked landscaping and we did the exact same work you did just on a smaller scale

Awesome video, I appreciate you explaining as much detail as you can. You guys do an awesome job.
Hello great video. I helped an old stone mason 35 years ago do pavers had about 8 inch base compacted then we used stone dust like a 3/8 minus lime stone packed down like concrete
Love the basic videos, Thanks for the tips, Stan and the Crew.
Thanks for watching!
