I'm glad we could clear that up for you! :) If that was the case you would still get the advantage of having unspent glory point earlier than your opponent. But the biggest advantage is being able to keep drawing through your objective deck.
Great intro.. a playthrough with similar as well as more detailed explanations would be a good follow up.. like an example game so new players (like myself) could get a feel for the flow of the game

So if I have one edition of the game do I need to buy the new one? Because it looks like spells are the only new thing really so why should I buy a new edition? Also do the new things added n each edition carry over to the next?
Every new edition comes with new cards and new warbands. As well as some slight rule changes. The cards that are specific to a warband are always viable and carry over to the next edition. The universal cards that all warbands can use rotate out of the Championship format after a few editions. So all the warbands and all the warband specific cards carry over the every new season. If you are just playing with friends for fun there is no need to buy the latest edition. Also if you only play the Rivals format (where you only play with warbands specific cards) you don’t need to buy the new editions either. The rules are available online and the only thing you will be missing is the latest game boards 😊 If you want to compete in the Championship format, where you are allowed to use any cards currently in rotation, you need the latest sets to be able to compete. So to answer if you need to buy the new set or not I guess it depends on what format you want to play and what is being playe din you area :) Hope that helps

I did not know that you draw a new objective card after scoring a surge objective! I thought you only draw cards in the end phase.
